Its easy to say they should have done this and this, but they did the best they could have booking angle the likes of this one...plus they couldn't just bring in all the big names right away

The Invasion storyline looked great to the eyes of many in 2001 but after seven years, it was a huge mistake. The two things that would have made it better were McMahon's ego being thrown out and signing some big names such as Goldberg and Sting. Watching InVasion as I'm typing this makes me thing I can't believe its been seven years since the invasion.

It was cool for what it actually was. But compare it to what it should have been, it was a huge letdown.

The Invasion would have been better if Bischoff and the nWo were involved, just as figureheads. They could have just waited just a tad bit longer and have made the angle look more legitimate instead of having the people from the old organization look like pussies

It could have been possibly the greatest storyline in my opinion, but it wasn't because they needed bigger names, and also the fact that Vince didn't wanted WWF to lose to guys from the Alliance.

Exactly right. The Invasion sucked because it had top WCW superstars jobbing to WWE midcarders like Test. For people with actual respect for WCW it was like a kick in the nuts; it's why Sting never came to WWE. Vince couldn't even loosen his pursestrings to bring one of the following over: Hollywood Hogan Scott Hall Kevin Nash Goldberg Ric Flair Scott Steiner It's like if Marvel comics bought DC comics and didn't have Superman, Batman or Wonder Woman!
