ROH World Title Four Way Elimination Match ROH World Champion Nigel McGuinness vs. Tyler Black vs. Bryan Danielson vs. Claudio Castagnoli This one has a lot of complex issues. It is Tyler Black's first opportunity at the World Title since his breakout bout at the "Take No Prisoners" PPV. Is he really the future of ROH? Some feel that it is inevitable that Bryan Danielson becomes ROH World Champion again. Will Danielson take what many feel is his rightful spot on top of ROH again? ROH officials decided to give Claudio Castagnoli one last shot at the belt. Castagnoli threatened to walk out of ROH if he did not win the title last weekend. He came so close that even Nigel McGuinness paid him a compliment after the match. Now he will receive his final opportunity at the belt. Could this be his last hurrah? This is definitely the toughest bout of Nigel McGuinness' title reign as he faces three top challengers in this unpredictable match!!! NWA World Heavyweight Title Match NWA World Heavyweight Champion Adam Pearce with Larry Sweeney, Sara Del Rey, Shane Hagadorn & Bobby Dempsey vs. Brent Albright ROH's premiere event in the Hammerstein Ballroom saw Brent Albright finally have enough of Larry Sweeney and Sweet & Sour Inc. as he turned on the group to bring the NYC fans to their feet. However, Pearce turned the violence level up by throwing a fireball in Albright's face a few weeks ago in Chicago. Now the NWA World Heavyweight Title will be on the line in NYC when these two collide in their first singles match in ROH. Dream Tag Team Match Kevin Steen & El Generico vs. Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin You have two of the most innovative, skilled and exciting tag teams in the world here. They each want to move into contention for the ROH World Tag Team Titles. This will be tag team wrestling at its finest. Who will win this rare match up? Three-Way Match Austin Aries vs. The Necro Butcher vs. Jimmy Jacobs Jacobs couldn't have agreed to this match faster. He feels he will have a handicap situation as Necro will team with him to beatdown Aries. Meanwhile, Aries said "yes" to this bout even quicker than Jacobs. He thinks this will be the situation where he finally gets Necro to leave Age Of The Fall. However, some in the ROH office feel that Necro will just say the hell with both Jacobs and Aries and fight on his own. Where does Necro stand in this blood feud? NOAH Special Attraction Match Go Shiozaki vs. Naomichi Marufuji Two of NOAH's finest will put on a pro wrestling exhibition in the Hammerstein Ballroom. Can Shiozaki score a major win for his NOAH career? Will Marufuji move into World Title contention? Special Challenge Match Roderick Strong vs. Eddie Edwards Larry Sweeney is sending Eddie Edwards to put a beating on Roderick Strong while Strong wants to get his hands on Sweeney. This is the biggest match of Edwards' ROH career. This could be the sleeper on the card. Bonus Match Delirious vs. Chris Hero Delirious pinned Hero in the Tag Team Scramble in ROH's Hammerstein debut. Now Hero wants to even the score. This one will be very competitive. Tag Team Challenge Match Jay & Mark Briscoe vs. Jigsaw & Ruckus Mark Briscoe returned to action last weekend from his wrist injury and now The Briscoes want to get into ROH World Tag Team Title contention so they can get their shot at revenge against The Age Of The Fall. Jigsaw & Ruckus are close to breaking through on the tag team front. Get ready for some action here!!! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I guess they scrapped the Ultimate Endurance match.Either way Im so glad I got tickets.Card sounds awesome.

I'm really looking forward to the world title match. As much as I'd like to see a new champion crowned, I don't see it happening just yet.

I don't think I've ever seen you say anything positive unless it relates to wrestling in New Jersey. Why so negative?

I agree with this. Other than the MCMG/Steenerico and possibly the main event this card is really weak. Glad I didn't bother getting tickets. I don't think I've ever seen you say anything positive unless it relates to wrestling in New Jersey. Why so negative? Whatever you say. I defended the Hammerstein show as being good from top to bottom with the exception of Morisima/Necro. If I recall everyone put down that show. Was it an amazing show? Nope, but it was how wrestling should be done. Gabe didn't over do it with too many matches or segments and the match times were perfect. Nothing dragged and that's how you do a show without burning out the crowd. Reasons the matches I mentioned will be good Motor City Machine Guns are one of the best tag teams out there today as is Steen & Generico. Should be an amazing tag match ROH is always good at doing these elimination four ways so that should be a good match. Not a fan of Claudio saying he would leave and all of a sudden he's coming back for "one more shot". It looks weak and looks like something JAPW would do in the last three months ago. There, I said it. Am I that negative now? Reasons I don't like the other matches I have always found Pearce to be boring plus this match doesn't strike me as a good being the second biggest match on the card. Strong/Edwards screams boring. Hero/Delirious also screams boring. The three way won't be anything amazing. We seen so many of the same brawls in ROH in the past. I don't like Go. He had a good match with Aries but for the most part all he does is chop hard which any Japanese guy could do. Briscoes/Rucksaw will just be a spot fest as mention. Fun way to open the show? Yes. Something that I'd go out of my way to see? No.

Wrestling is supposed to be fun, and about the suspension of disbelief. Sit back, relax and enjoy the show. It's really not that hard. Even the worst of events I've been to or watched on tape I could always find something to enjoy. Being positive is a lot better then being negative. It helps out in the real world too.

Even the worst TNA show still provides a decent match or two that I'd enjoy. Same with WWE, or at WWE I could get some great comedy from Santino Marella or a fun match with MVP, D'Lo Brown, Kennedy, etc. Hell at JAPW you still have Homicide and Hernandez who I happen to enjoy quite a bit. Mixed in with a lot of crap there's always something to look back on and see again. It's not that hard of an attitude to have. Being grumpy and angry on the internet, something you do in every thread you post in, isn't going to get you anywhere.

I do kind of agree with UK's opinion on Claudio being in the match. I mean, he even said if he lost to Nigel he would leave ROH, and what happened? He lost to Nigel.

You're right, I can find something good no matter how bad a card is just like I did here. The ROH Title match and the MCMG/Steenerico match both interest me, so I found something I like that I will still check out the show on DVD. Also you saying I'm grumpy and angry in every one of my posts is hilarious, especially coming from you considering the only posts you make our those insulting what someone said.

I'm just calling it like it is with Claudio in the ROH Title match. There really was no good reason for it. Just like Jay Lethal losing a match against Archadia in JAPW where he wouldn't be able to use the Black Machismo gimmick only to show up three months later as Black Machismo to wrestle Booker T. I've heard rumors that Lethal didn't have much of a choice to be Machismo but I don't care, it still didn't make any sense just like Claudio wanting one more shot doesn't make sense. I'm just calling it like it is. Wouldn't it of been much easier for Claudio to lose on Saturday, be added to the 4 way for his effort and then say if he don't win this match he would leave for good?

The final press release for the card says "ROH officials decided to give Claudio Castagnoli one last shot at the belt. Castagnoli threatened to walk out of ROH if he did not win the title last weekend. He came so close that even Nigel McGuinness paid him a compliment after the match. Now he will receive his final opportunity at the belt. Could this be his last hurrah?"
This addresses the issue of Castagnoli leaving ROH if he loses. Why not do a title change in your biggest venue in front of what is likely to be(with walk up) the biggest crowd in ROH history?
UK, you paid two compliments and then said the rest of the card was weak. Is it really that hard to make a post with all positive comments? I really don't care for Hero/Delirious or the Briscoes tag match nor do I like Castagnoli in the main event but did I complain? No.
The show is going to be fantastic, and looks like the best line up since March. I expect this show to be on par with Supercard of Honor III.

Claudio said if he didn't win though he would leave and he lost. Yes the press release said he threatened to walk out but it still don't make sense and makes Claudio look like a whiner and ROH look desperate in a storyline sense. It sounds to me like the plan was for Claudio to win the ROH Title on PPV and then Gabe decided it would be a better idea for Claudio to win in NYC because of the atmosphere. I could of been positive and said "looks like a great show" but I'd be lying. I'm not saying the show is bad but honestly can I help that's all that interests me on this card? Strong/Edwards and Hero/Delirious just scream average to me. You know I've never liked Pearce so the NWA Title match isn't interesting other than the fact that I hope Albright wins. Go doesn't really impress me that much but is alright with the right opponent. I could see if I said this card terrible or something but I didn't. I mentioned what interests me and what doesn't interest me. The card just seems weak for NYC when you compare to some of the other shows there. NYC is spoiled no doubt and you come expecting to the best. The card is far from horrible but in my personal opinion when you rank it up with other NYC cards it looks weak. In other words, my point is basically that I'm glad I skipped this show and not a different show that might have been amazing as it seems like I usually pick the wrong NYC shows to go to. I'm glad that if I was gonna make the choice to not attend one that this is the one. I will still pick up the DVD so I'm still supporting the product. I really don't see the problem.

Is this in New York, Philly, or Chi Ridge?
If Tyler Black leaves champion I will mark on all fours.
