Back in the 90's I don't think I appreciated Ken Shamrock a much as I do today. I was 10 when he debuted in the WWF and I remember liking him, but when I look back at some of his matches with The British Bulldog, Triple H, Rocky Maivia, and Steve Blackman I see how good he really was.
He's probably one of the guys I wish came back to the WWE despite his age, though I'm, sure he will probably never step foot in another ring again whether it's 4-sided, 6-sided or 8-sided.
Anyone here have any specific Ken Shamrock matches they enjoyed?

Vs The British Bulldog.
Great match, wasn't it on RAW too?

I enjoyed his feud with Rocky Maivia/The Rock in 1998, and his later IC title feuds weren't too bad either.

I was always a fan of his and I still cant understand why he wasn't given more of a push to the top. He had a great run in 97' and could have done much more in 98'.
Then they made him join the Corporation or w/e variation of it and I completely lost interest in him.

he had a great look, had a fantastic name coming in from the UFC & made a real effort to add a lot of wrestling moves to his shoot arsenal to really fit in. Had a great hurracanra if I recall.
The thing I remember most about ken was a match against undertaker where he countered a chokeslam into a cross armlock, looked fantastic on TV. His feud with Rocky ws solid as well.
Really should have done more with him really, but didn't he keep getting injured?

Shamrock was awesome, I particularly liked his short lived team with Bossman.

I wish WWE showcased/produced more guys like Ken Shamrock... the fighter types that are entertaining because they bleed intensity. Shamrock should have been WWE Champion... I can only assume politics got in the way.

Shamrock was very good as a pro wrestler. As far as the reason why he wasn't pushed all the way to the top... well, he had the misfortune of coming along right when a few of WWE's biggest stars of all time (Austin, Rock, Triple H, Undertaker) were either having spectacular runs, or were on the verge of something awesome. Plus you had Kane, whose character was getting over, and Mankind, who basically won the fans over the hard way.
When you look at it that way, as good as Shamrock was, it's not so hard to understand why he didn't get to the absolute top of the food chain. He had some huge competition for the main event spot.
