Hey guys i looked around this board for the Puro thread that used to be around but i couldnt find it so i hope it's okay to ask this question here.
I was just wondering what the Japanese Wrestling Traditions are in Japan. I know about the streamers thrown and the fans being quiet but are there any traditions wrestlers have to stick too?
Thank you in advance.
Mitch.

None really. The only other thing I can name is the belt ceremonies before and after title matches. After, the winner is usually given a trophy and/or check. This works for tournament winners too.

In NJPW, they play the national anthems of both wrestlers in an IWGP Heavyweight Championship match pre-ring introductions.

The ring announcers dress like Captain Crunch! Kinda surprised ROH hasn't stolen that one yet.
