Doesn't matter cause Florian is going to shut him the F up come Saturday night. As for fighter pay I agree some fighters derve more money, it's a tough sport. However Jardine inked a deal for so much per fight for so many fights & that is the deal he agreed. However surely jardine is getting "bonuses" to compensate for his position on the card. has been stated many times that the pay that goes on the record is not neccessarily the total money he gets. As for Huerta, the UFC have put him in a position to become a name & make some decent money. better than working some cr**py job for sure & it's a job he apparently loves. Boohoo he's not geting mega bucks to help to promote a show he's being paid to fight on. Bring on Kenny to bust him & his perfect record up. If you're doing the same job BETTER than people who are getting paid 5x (or more) more than you; wouldn't you be pretty upset? BUT in the UFC it is not about how good a fighter you are rather it is how well you draw. Case in point Tito/ Shamrock earnt big dollars for the most one sided triolgy in the history of sports because they are big names & people pay to see them. Huerta could have the best fights in the history of mMA but until people are actually paying to see him specifically he won't get the big money.

couldnt have put it better moogie...although money cannot be "earnt" as you put it..but rather "earned" .... but thats exactly what it comes down to.

I hope Huerta knocks out Ken Flo and gets a raise. lol...huerta is in no way going to knock out Florian...if he does get lucky to win, it would be by decision....Florian is a huge step up in the people Huerta has been facing.

But I feel like the UFC really should be paying the guys more than they are. It's not like Keith Jardine is completely unknown -- people know who he is, and they were excited to see him fight Chuck Liddell. Don't get me wrong, I know that Liddell was the draw for that fight; but I think more people were excited to see Liddell/Jardine than Liddell vs. some random jobber no one has ever heard of, who they'd likely pay as much as they paid Jardine.

It's a step up, but "huge" is going a little far. Huerta and Florian are on the same level. Huerta has good stand up and a good sprawl, Florian has good elbows/ground n pound and JJ. It's a pretty even fight. If anything I could see Huerta knock out Florian, or Florian somehow catch him on the ground for an arm bar (or something along those lines).
