Frankie “Kaz” Kazarian Interview Recap from Sunday Night’s Wrestling Observer Live Radio Show:
- He said he had to go to WWE to find out if it was for him or not, but Frankie said he never felt comfortable there. He said he never felt at home in WWE.
- Frankie said WWE suggested that he cut his hair, but said it was just a disagreement he had with the company. He said it has been blown way out of proportion.
- He said sometimes in wrestling, when you leave and come back, you have to go through “some crap” for a period of time. Frankie said TNA created Serotonin to give himself, Bentley, Raven, and Devine some direction.
- Frankie said he doesn’t know where he is going in the storyline, but would like to return to the X-division. He realizes his character has unfinished business with Serotonin.
- Frankie talked about his match at Victory Road. He said the fans seemed to enjoy the Ultimate X.
- He talked about the Ultimate X structure using bars instead of the usual cable typically used. He said it tougher to climb.
- Frankie said he met Nikki Roxx backstage, but wasn’t sure of her name.
- He said he was born and raised in California, but trained with Killer Kowalski for about year on the east coast.
- He said Pro Wrestling Guerrilla is the best promotion in the west, but said unfortunately he doesn’t work for them anymore.
- Frankie said he would work to Kurt Angle, AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, Raven, Jay Lethal, Bobby Roode, Sonjay Dutt, etc.
- Frankie said AJ Styles told him about the Chris Benoit tragedy, as AJ lives in Atlanta.
- He said the TNA locker room didn’t talk too much about the Benoit situation at the Impact tapings.
- Frankie said he was a big fan of Benoit’s, and said while in WWE, Benoit went out of his way to critique his matches.
- Frankie felt that the McMahons should be tested under their wellness policy since they are on air talent.
- Frankie said Christopher Daniels, AJ Styles, Samoa Joe has everyone’s respect in the locker room. He said no one is really the locker room leader, but said it’s an asset to have guys like Kurt Angle and Sting in their locker room. He said it’s a family atmosphere in TNA. He said lots of the X-division wrestlers look up to Jerry Lynn.
