We have learned that UFC and TNA Wrestling have reached a deal regarding promotion for the UFC's February 2nd show featuring Brock Lesnar vs. Frank Mir.
Sources are saying that there will be heavy advertising of the next UFC during the TNA shows over the next two weeks. The TNA shows will also hype packages to build up the match.
Next week's TNA iMPACT! will include a Brock Lesnar training package, as well as a Kurt Angle interview, where he breaks down the Lesnar vs. Mir match. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Why? Just why?

This is pretty big for UFC to reach the pro wrestling audience who may not religiously follow UFC. They're expecting a pretty big bump in the buy rate in February from curious pro wrestling fans.

I don't think this will do much for UFC. Shitloads of more people order UFC PPV's as opposed to TNA ones. Plus, is TNA getting anything out of this? If UFC were to advertise TNA during their PPV's, then I can see it being worth their while.

TNA really does like to leech on to anything popular.

TNA really does like to leech on to anything popular. It says nothing about UFC promoting TNA.. plus it's only for 2 weeks

More distractions for a promotion that already lacks focus... total nonstop a.d.d.

I hope you don't think that the UFC really needs TNA to help promote a fight.

I wonder if TNA will openly use the WWE footage of Brock that UFC is using.

Dana White said months ago that he would be advertising as much as possible during pro wrestling shows (TNA is apparent and I'm sure UFC will get some ad time on USA). Whether they "need" it or not, it's a smart move.
Plus, if TNA gets paid for their time or anything really, they benefit.

Man, I was kinda hoping TNA would have got some form of Advertising on UFC, not the other way around.
I guess UFC wanted to attract the same 40,000 people who watch iMPACT! each week.

TNA usually does just over 1 million viewers each Thursday.

I hope it benefits TNA in some way. It would do well just for Brock Lesnar to appear on TNA, even if to promote the fight...that would be wesome. If Lesnar came to TNA, I think you'd see a major ratings jump!

If Lesnar came to TNA, I think you'd see a major ratings jump! Only if a monster heel Samoa Joe walked out and challenged Lesnar to a match... that would be a godly encounter.

I hope in return UFC lets one of its big fighters get involved with TNA somehow, like Tito Ortiz did a few years ago.

Well TNA will benefit as no doubt UFC will be paying them to advertise the fight.
and lets face it TNA needs money as it's not earning much in general.

Won't that violate Lesnar's deal or something?
