In their latest 10-Q SEC filing posted today, WWE announced that on July 24th the company was served with summons from three former WWE Superstars acting on behalf of themselves and a class of individuals who are in a similar position. The lawsuit mentions alleges breach of contract and unjust enrichment from WWE's part when it comes to treating them as independent contractors rather than employees. In the filing, the company said that it has not replied to the lawsuit yet but they will do soon, denying any liability for the claims brought against them and will defend their position vigorously. The main man behind the lawsuit is Scott Levy, otherwise better known as Raven. (thanks to Colin Vassallo)

I am going to put $20 on the table and say one of them is Ultimate Warrior.
If he is not then I will be very shocked.

They won't win so they should really conserve the little amount of money they have because legal fees will them up!

I bet if Raven went all Johnny Polo again and tried to get noticed by WWE they wouldn't know that Polo was Raven.

Raven and company will win. They wouldn't have taken the shot unless Raven thought there was a shot, and Vince's legal team is absolute garbage. WWE deserves this too. Hopefully it'll mean way better treatment of the performers that we love to watch, whether it be benefits allotted to them or financial gain. If I worked for WWE as a performer and found that I was an "independent contractor" who couldn't accept outside work while working with the company, I'd be pissed too because of all of the money that I was losing out on. Why do you think Flair left? If you're an independent contractor and can't perform outside of the company, that makes you an employee of said company, not an independent contractor like they'd have you believe.

I support the lawsuit. It's unfair they get treated as contractors thus being unable to get benefits from the company along with a ton of other things that we probably don't understand. I know essentially they ARE contractors but they are also the direct reason the company is even in business. They should be treated with a little more respect

Nothing will happen. indeed, that's why in 2002 when the World Wildlife Fund came out swinging, vince's legal team pulled through and won a huge battle to keep the sacred WWF name. oh wait.

Vince's legal team has an absolutely terrible record as of late. If you're referring to the steroid trial, that was like 14 years ago.
