Match was 5 stars just like the main event for the other iwgp title with nakamura and tanahashi.

I would give the match around ****1/4. It was a great match and an early MOTY candidate for matches involving TNA and WWE guys. I honestly thought it surpassed any WWE or TNA match from 2007.

That match would of been better if Nagata didn't purposefully take it easy on Angle.

We must have watched different matches. The match was average at best. It was a big letdown in my mind.

With the commercials and shouting of Tenay/West, the match was okay.
The Japanese (and complete) version, it's pretty damn good.

It was alright, could have been much better though in my opinion. It just didn't have anything in the match that left me saying "Woah, that was amazing" it just didn't have that sort of a feeling on any of the spots/moves they did during the match. It had good storytelling and some pretty cool things, but didn't live up to how good I expected it to be. Hopefully we'll see a rematch somewhere down the line..oh and Don Wests horrible commentary partially ruined the match for me. Him calling all the moves wrong and saying "Oh he just wrapped his arm around his head" well genious..that's called a Side Headlock.

I remember when Angle was in wwe, I thought, man him vs Yugi Nagata from Japan would be a dream match. Glad it happened and i thought it was great. A solid 4 stars.

What's with the Star ratings? those mean squat.

It was better than I thought it would be, because I thought Yuji Nagata was the most boring Japanese wrestler of all time when I saw him in WCW in the late 90's. The match was pretty damn good, and I liked the different atmosphere. I would have liked to have seen the other TNA matches from the show as well.

What's with the Star ratings? those mean squat. Thank you, good sir. I understand good, excellent, great, really good, mediocre, poor, abortion, and orgasmic... but rating matches just screams intellectually- disabled.

If WCW and this match are the only ways you're familiar with Nagata, then you're missing out on one of the best wrestlers in the world.

People seem to jump on Japanese wrestlers dicks alot tbh.
I thought the match was OK, overall though the actual PPV was pretty good.

I remember seeing the Nagata Lock in like 97 in WCW and thinking, what he hell is he doing to the guy?
Yeah, i liked it. Something different on TV atleast, especially TNA. But boo them for only playing one damn match. that was clipped.
