Indeed. In the beginning of ECW tonight, Teddy came out and announced that Matt Hardy asked for his ECW release and instead will be fighting on SmackDown! Why would a GM do such a thing? Who knows. But we certainly didn't get anything in return for him. SD! jipped ECW again. Now the ECW roster is down to 12.

The only reason that I'm bothering to watch ECW these days is because of Striker, Grisham, and Swagger. If Burchill got a decent push, then I'd probably tune in for him, as well. Speaking of Paul, he had a great match with Finlay last night. I'd love to see him get a shot at the ECW Championship on pay-per-view in the future.

Man, I was really hoping it was Boogeyman that stole Jack's title. But then I realized Boogeyman was in a match when his title was stolen, so it couldn't have been him. So I then though it was gonna be Tommy Dreamer. But, it looks like it was Hornswoggle, and Finaly will be the first in line now for a title match.
But, after The Boogeyman coming out while Swagger was in the ring, I REALLY want a Boogey/Swagger feud for the title.

Yeah, it'll be awhile before Dreamer gets his shot. They're really gonna work the storyline in especially with him getting a few depressing losses which seems to derail him. But now that the WWE One Night Stand PPV change its name to WWE Extreme Rules it's almost guaranteed Dreamer will fight for the title then.

I can deal with everything on ECW but the lameness that is Hornswoggle and happy-go-lucky Finlay... At a time Hornswoggle was a little much. Pretty much when he was Vince's son and it was the whole show every week on RAW. But now having Finlay being Hornswoggle's "real" father and being on ECW is not really that bad. I hated Hornswoggle at a point but with Jack Swagger as ECW Champion right now it all fits. Finlay versus Jack Swagger on the first ECW of '09 was actually pretty damn good. Better than Swagger vs. Hardy so I'm interested to see where this feud goes. Hopefully it'll be something good they build to for No Way Out. Hornswoggle stealing Swagger's belt though was pretty good and set up a Finlay Swagger II which I can't wait for. |

Burchill Finlay was pretty bloody and brutal this week. He's great but Swagger is the dominant heel. I don't know how they would turn Burchill face though besides his Pirate gimmick.

Not a big Miz fan. Absolutely love Morrison. The matches on ECW on Sci Fi between Morrison and Punk for the ECW Championship were classics. And Morrison's Fifteen minutes of fame.

Hey, i was a Miz fan from the beginning. mainly because of his Kick arse theme song. But him standing out to me was when he went to ECW and truly became the chick magnet. I dont see why people seem to hate him. He aint that bad of a wrestler...

Finlay will go one on one with Jack Swagger in a non-title contest and Tommy Dreamer will take on Paul Burchill. Looks like an awesome lineup tomorrow night. Interested in both matches. |
