Recap of Finlay/Swagger feud.
We are LIVE in Fresno, California, with our hosts Todd Grisham and Matt Striker.
Jack Swagger is out and for the first time ever, he isn’t wearing a crazy grin. Swagger draws pretty good heat right off the bat, claiming to be a victim of Teddy Long’s. He promises to handle Hornswaggle out tonight-h. He calls out Hornswaggle and gets… Christian’s titantron. Oh shit. Seriously, I thought it was a weird joke or something at first, but Christian’s really here. He tells Jack he is in fact interrupting his promo, and makes fun of the lisp. He calls out to his PEEPS. HELL YES. He tells Swagger that he wants the ECW title and issues a challenge to the winner of Swagger vs. Finlay at No Way Out. Swagger accuses Christian of not being able to hack it in WWE before and tells Christian he’s not a threat, so Christian punches him in the head. I don’t see anything else tonight topping that. Wow.
Moments ago, Christian hit Jack Swagger in the head.
Backstage, Swagger complains to Teddy Long and Teddy says he’s the one who signed Christian. Swagger wants the night off but Long says he has a match…with Christian.
Tommy Dreamer vs. The Miz (with John Morrison) They start outside and Miz misses a flying splash and hits the rail. Tommy drops an elbow for a one count back in. He bulldogs Dreamer into the corner and pounds on Tommy. Miz goes to the chinlock but Orton fights out with a backdrop suplex. Dreamer clotheslines Miz and hits a running bulldog. Sky-High gets 2. Miz misses a charge in the corner and Dreamer hits a neckbreaker but Miz gets his foot on the rope. Morrison runs onto the apron but gets hit for his trouble. Miz hits some sort of…shoulder breaker for the win. And the Dreamer jobbing continues. *1/2
Samuel L. Jackson IS Afro Samuari commercials so far: 1
The WWE slam of the week (presented by Afro Samuari) is The Boogeyman crushing Jamie Noble.
Backstage Jamie Noble tells Teddy Long that he was the big dog on RAW. Teddy blows him off for “Tyson” (TJ Wilson) and Natalya Neidhart. Not gonna lie, Wilson’s kinda weird looking.
We run down the No Way Out card.
Backstage Hornswaggle runs around Christian but Eric Bischoff isn’t around to announce a “capture the midget” match so no go. Out comes Finlay, who welcomes Christian and tells him that he’s the one who’s going to be the ECW Champion for Christian to face.

Video package promoting the return of Evan Bourne
Tyson Kidd vs. Bao Nguyen Kidd kicks Nguyen down to start and an inverted atomic drop followed by a kick to the face gets two. Then he goes to the reverse chinlock. Kidd hits a dropkick and springboard elbow for 3. Just a squash for Kidd’s debut. Noble comes out to the Titantron and points.
Zombie Presidents recommend using TurboTax.
Raw Rebound is recap is Undertaker vs. Orton, with the Corporate Ministry re-uniting for ONE NIGHT ONLY.
Jack Swagger (still without smile) vs. Christian ECW is presented by Afro Samurai (3). Lockup and Swagger starts off with some matwork. Todd notes that some fans may have never seen Christian in action before and I die a little inside knowing that it’s a true statement. Christian slaps Swagger and a rollup gets one. He gets booted in the gut but Christian gets out of a slam. Christian gets a springboard sunsest flip for two. Finlay and Hornswaggle come down as we go to break, ensuring that we won’t have a clean finish. We return with Swagger working Christian over with a bearhug as Finlay and Hornswaggle are on commentary. Christian elbows out and hits a knee. He hits a corner clothesline and goes back to the grounded bearhug. Christian hits a big tornado DDT for 2. Christian fights back with an elbow and hits the diving reverse DDT that never did get named in his WWE run, except when JR accidentially called it the Unprettier. Christian misses a diving headbutt and Swagger rolls him up for two. Unprettier is blocked and Swaggers gets a belly to belly for 2. Swagger misses a Vader Bomb. Swagger tries a german suplex off the apron (which looks rather inappropriate) but no go. Swagger throws Christian into Finlay at the table. Back in Swagger acts like he’s going to expose one turnbuckle but while the ref deals with that one he exposes another. A rollip gets two for Christian. Hornswaggle distracts the ref and Finlay hits Swagger with the sheligah in the leg, and Christian hits the Unprettier for the win. Match was pretty good but the commercial break and overbooking towards the end hurt it. **1/2
Overall Thoughts: Pretty incredible episode. It's a one hour show and Christian started and ended it. ECW may not be dead yet.

I love the theme, love that he's on ECW too.
WWE essentially just handed him his own brand. He'll be in the spotlight every week.
He'd be lost on the shuffle on RAW or SD.

Weak ending. Christian should have been put in the ECW Title match at No Way Out to make it a Triple Threat Match.
Buyrates would have went way up.

WTF?!!! WHY?!! Why on ECW?!! Christian is better than that!!! -BEN ...again, to reintroduce himself to WWE fans. You don't know that.. It could be that Vince thinks that the C list brand, is all he's good for.. You know Vince has never been high on Christian..

Wow, Swagger showing lots of green tonight. He's rolling out of kickouts before Christian kicks. Yeah, he's awful.. People will come to see this in time, I'm sure.. How can you say that? Those are called rookie mistakes. If you were facing Christian in his return match, wouldn't you be nervous? Give the guy a ing break. In my eyes, he's easily the future of World Wrestling Entertainment. He's just going to have to improve a little bit on minor things, that's all.
