Great match from Swagger, an impressive showing from Tyson "Stampede" Kidd, Dreamer finally gets a win, and Todd makes a Blues Brothers reference. A good time is had by all.

Wow.
ECW is the only wrestling show that entertains me the way it used to years ago.
Main event was phenomenal. It had the hype, the psychology, and the execution. Swagger and Christian works so well for me. Swagger going over clean = perfect. I'm a huge Christian mark, but I gotta say this was better than Christian walking out with the title...I loved the fact that I was on the edge of my seat the entire last 5 minutes.
No cheap DQ ending like you see on Raw/Smackdown EVERY week. (if you're lucky to get a main event)
25 minutes set aside for the main event...man, I'm amazed.
Sorry if I'm rambling, but I was just really excited watching this.
Thanks to whoever is responsible for this past few weeks solid shows. Can't wait for more...

I just watched it, since I completely forgot about ECW last night, and I have to agree with everyone that Christian/Swagger was great. My only gripe is that I would have preferred to see these two guys give that match at Mania.
ECW is definitely the best show on TV if you want good wrestling. I love Raw for their story lines, but ECW is the show to watch for wrestling.

With Christian back and Tyson Kidd now on.... For some reason, I actually want to watch this every week even more than Smackdown.

I'd like to see Kaval (Low-Ki or Senshi) get called up to ECW soon, just so that he could immediately start feuding with Tyson Kidd. That would make a great start to both of their careers.

They should just give ECW the cruiserweight belt. They might as well give the show a midcard belt with all the x division type guys in FCW being called up to ECW

i watched the most recent edition of ecw, and it's the first episode i've watched for over a year. i have to say it was actually intriguing, they properly built swagger/christian throughout the night, and i enjoyed the matches. i actually enjoyed the program much more than i do raw.
ecw has a new fan.

Swagger/Christian on ECW was epic! the flow of the match was perfect and It's the best match on WWE in 2009 so far in my books. Katie Lea is so F'n hot! and glad too see a Tommy Dreamer win! anyone want too see a Tyson Kid/Evan Bourne feud? ECW was awesome this week!

ECW to me is like a place where the smaller guys can have a start and get their name out. When you think of smaller guys, you think of Bourne, Tyson Kidd, Rey, Noble, Kaval, Kendrick, etc. Now most of those guys could sell well, but they would be utilized more on ECW. They could have greater matches against guys their size. I hate seeing Rey Vs Knox or Kofi Vs Kane, not because the big men cant work but because Kofi or Rey have to play the underdog. But a perfect example of a great match is Rey Vs Bourne. No underdog their, just two smaller guys battling it out and it was an amazing match. So they should give ECW the CW title, so those guys have something to fight over. |
