Brie is the face, Nikki is the heel. Brie got spit on, and ended up with the Colons, and Nikki was the one who laughed and ended up with Miz and Morrison.

it was right. the girl who likes Miz/Morrison was behind then by John during the start of the segment. i also like how they might try for a Bourne vs. Kidd match. would be a good match next week on ECW if it wasn't being run by women. what bs

Good show tonight I thought. Liked Burchill vs. Finlay.

Fun show. All three matches were good, and the main event talk segment was decent. The title unification and the split of the Bellas adds a new dimension to the feud, which was needed as we've already seen tons of Colons vs Miz/Morrison matches.
It's weird how low-key Swagger's been to the show. And if it's all divas next week, where does that leave him for WM? He's gonna have to either do something on Raw or Smackdown this week/next week, or announce his WM defense 5 days before the show. I guess at this point it's gonna be Swagger vs Bourne, or some kind of multi-man match.

So the unification of the titles begins... This pleases me. The new tag team titles should connect together like those best friend things.

here is a question, what if Kozlov won the US belt....would it still be a US Belt if a Russian wore it Benoit held it, and he was Canadian.

It wouldn't surprise me if the pre-show battle royal had the ECW Championship on the line or something like that. It seems unlikely that Swagger will get on the WM card.

I don't know, man. To me, Swagger is a pretty big priority for WWE - or was, until he was invisible last week and pretty much the same this week. I can't believe they literally just trotted him out to show off the belt. The very definition of booking a segment just to get someone on the show.
But I still think he's one of the PPV-level names, and Bourne's extremely popular, judging by crowd reactions. I wouldn't mind another pre-show battle royal for an ECW title shot at the PPV.

Fairly decent show, though it really got me thinking about what the future of ECW should be. I'll get to that afterward.
Opening tag bout was a decent match. Like I said in the Raw post my biggest thing here is that they're giving the Money in the Bank guys a chance to go at it and actually build up a decent match. The competitors this year are lacking big time, so at least they're trying to make up for that with starting some grudges before the match takes place. Glad to see Shelton keep picking up clean victories, but with Christian as somewhat of a front-runner, I'd like to see him get some wins here, too.
Evan Bourne/Jamie Noble was obviously a throw away match, but a damn good one. This was the first time I've seen Bourne in the WWE (I only began watching ECW for the first time since '06 three weeks ago) and I was very impressed. He's got a nice look, some incredible moves, and the crowd loves him. With the talent they've got right now, WWE could have the best Cruiserweight division in the history of that (WWE) title. Big mistake not making use of that.
I guess I'm one of the few that saw potential in Paul Burchill, and it sucks to see what he's become, but you couldn't expect anything less. It was St. Patrick's Day, of course Finlay had to make an appearance and win. Nothing special here, no real complaints.
Jack Swagger's "promo", if you can indeed call it that. When I said last week they needed to do anything to get his face on TV, I didn't quite mean that. He didn't even talk himself up, he essentially just stated who he is. This is horrible, off the cuff booking and it doesn't speak well for the ECW brand as a whole. If you're down on Swagger, thats fine, but get the belt off of him and get him off TV - don't just pretend he hardly exists.
The Dirt Sheet segment was entertaining as always. I can't tell you how incredibly glad I am to see these four guys getting a match at Wrestlemania, a match that means something, has some pretty big implications, and has great build. THAT is where the booking team is doing things right right now. Funny segment. The Bella twins don't really serve any purpose in the angle, but I'm ecstatic enough about the angle itself that I don't care that they're around.
Which brings me to the idea I had while watching that segment. Right now, we're seeing the Tag Team Titles display their most worth since probably around 2002 during Smackdown's Tag Team initiative to bring the belts into play. Miz & Morrizon and The Colons have gone at it tooth and nail, put on some great matches, and provided some great build up to what i'm sure is going to be an excellent match at Wrestlemania. The problem with most feuds nowadays is that they are lost in the wayside, shuffled amongst the main events, I'm talking specifically about the undercard. WWE's pay-per-view undercard has been severely lacking for years due to poor build and lack of attention.
Look where this tag team feud is, and it got there by getting main event calibur attention. Promos, matches, video segments, the works. This tag title feud has gotten everything a WWE or World Heavyweight Title match would get, with one significant difference - on ECW.
Its quite obvious that WWE puts no faith in ECW's champion, and doesn't acknowledge it as a main title, so why do we need it? ECW's roster is small enough to fizzle out onto Raw and Smackdown, but instead of canceling a perfectly good show, why not use for exactly what we're seeing with Miz/Morrison and the Colons right now - mid-card build up.
Its simple, ECW serves as a supplemental show to both Raw and Smackdown, much like Heat and Velocity once did, with one significant purpose. Its not a throw-away show, its used to build up the Tag Title feuds, the U.S. Title feuds, Intercontinental title feuds that just can't seem to get enough time on Raw and Smackdown. For those who only watch Raw and Smackdolwn, they aren't going to notice a bit of difference, for those who watch ECW, Pay-Per-Views become that much more well built.

I really hope Christian wins, that way they can build him up over the next year like they did with edge when he won it.

My god... why did they have to give the ECW champ a name with an 'S' in it?! (also, i wish Finlay would go back to his old music)
