I for one think they have. Just look at the DA 15 Taker, Jericho, IE Khali, RA 34 Lillian, RA 35 Victoria... etc. They've been doing an amazing job on them lately I think.

Yes, I have to say that Jakks, despite a few letdowns and flaws are on fire atm, especially with all the new figs coming out, set after set, they have upped their game greatly in the last couple of months.

No, I wasn't that big on the BDV scan, the Santino scan was a huge disappointment, and Chuck Palumbo looks quite odd. Beyond that, their quality seems pretty consistent, 80-20 for good scans. That DA Taker scan does in fact rule all @$$, though so I agree with that one.

I dunno. Jakks are sometimes great at getting good headscans and plenty of them, but sometimes they aren't. Sometimes people go ages without getting a new scan. The latest Jamie Noble still has his old RA2 headscan, Finlay badly needs one, and other guys too.
And in regards to poor likenesses, AD Chuck Palumbo was quite possibly one of the worst Jakks has ever made. I can't understand how Jakks sculptors can possibly think that monstrousity is acceptable, it's like they didn't bother to use realscan. And CS too, Howard Finkel was awful.
So I dunno. Sometimes Jakks are good, sometimes not. I'm still waiting for my NON-SMILING Diamond Dallas Page figure...

Na, not really. For all the good ones, there are just as many crap ones.
To me, it doesn't really matter that much - I am from the era that had no "real scan", no articulation, but action features galore...so even todays worst is better then it has been in the past.

(anyone remember bca d'lo with the vader body)but were glad to finally see a d lo in spite

I don't know. I think JAKKS has always been hit or miss. We've always gotten a mix of good and bad scans, but some of the ones you mentioned are particularly good ... especially the DA15 Taker.

I don't know if the scans are getting better, but I think the size issue is getting resolved. There don't seem to have been as many Scott-Hall-style gargantuan melon heads in the last several series.

It's hit & miss.
Often depending on the paint work chosen...just look at the two Kelly Kelly figures.

Yes Jakks has been doing a pretty good job with scans just to name a few that stand out DA Nunzio, MVP, DA Taker, Kevin Sullivan and if they would add a goatee to BDV that scan would be spot on.

I can see where you are coming from with this comment but there are a fair portion of crappy scans out. Its pretty much hit and miss.

The one guy I think Jakks has really dropped the ball with is Mark Henry. How has he had the same scan since before RA even started?
Jakks are doing OK with there scans lately. Some of the paintjobs really ruin some figures lately. And Shawn Michaels latest DA scan is horrible.

The new IE Khali has an amazing headscan as does DA 15 Taker.
The RA 34 Jericho however is horrid.

Lol.. don't speak too soon.. All we need is another horrible face like Chuck or even BDV to get the ball started into crapdom.
