In my near 20 years as a wrestling fan I have managed to go to over 15 live events which is great as I live in the UK and shows that the WWE really is a global brand. However while I have been to my fair share of PPV's the majority of the events I have been to have been house shows. Now my question is this have you ever been to a house show that has had a titan tron?.
Don't get me wrong every house show I have been to has been great and I have never been to a WWE show and felt cheated for my money but man do they cheap out when it comes to production. For example since I have lived in the North east of England nearly 10 years most of the shows I have been to have been at the Newcastle arena. Every year the entrance way is in the same place. What gets me is the Newcastle arena has 2 big screens either side of the entrance could they not put a superstars titan tron video on that for there entrance and then just have a WWE logo during matches.
So yeah have you ever been to a house show with a sweet set up. I noticed on the highlights of the Australian tour they seemed to have a proper stage.

Ive only been to two house shows and neither had them there. Which surprised me as a kid in 2003, seeing a wrestling event at the Joe without a Tron

Just 1. It was either January 2002 or 2003, I cant remember for sure but it was at the Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh. They had those big steel bar things set up with moving lights on them at the entrance way but no titan trons or anything like that.

In 2005 they had a tour called called WWE Summer Bash (Steve Austin was at it, and was the selling point of the tour). At our date (Ireland) they used a 22,000 seater outdoor arena (They didn't sell out, but i believe they pulled just over 20,000, so i'd highly expect a RAW show live from Dublin, Ireland in mid-2009). Anyway, They had a stage set up. Its was pretty much just an elaborate bunch of plyons and stuff with Summer Bash wrote on it. However, above the ring, they had a large square structure (to act as an umbrella in case of rain) and attached to that, on each side of the ring, they had a big screen which played titantron movies. They didn't actually broadcast the show through them though, just the videos. I'll see if i have a picture anywhere. ***EDIT*** Thankfully, I didn't take these as i was fortunate enough to be ringside, but here's a photo of what im talking about: Not a traditional Titantron as such, but its the closest I've ever seen.

When I went to two house shows in Toronto at the Skydome, they never had a titan tron, just a curtain, but they had cameras and the event was showing on the jumbo tron.
Another weird fact, these shows also had pyro - no other house shows I've been to have had pyro.

I've been to two house shows. Neither had a titantron, but one did have pyro.

I was at a show in 2005 which was WWE's first experiment with filming a live show in HD. It was a Smackdown show, kind of set up like a TV taping, with backstage segments on the tron and what have you. I believe the main event was Finlay vs Batista. I don't believe the footage was ever used for anything however.

I've been I think 8 house shows, and they haven't ever had any sort of tron or pyro.

No. That would be cool though. I haven't been to a Live-Event either.

I don't mind that the production at house shows is far less than the TV tapings.
Figure this... it was always like that.
In the early 90's... TV tapings had lights and what not for the ring that did animations. A better entrance.
house shows have always been the same... metal barriers, curtain and a ring.
House shows remind you that it's not about the glorification of the product. It reminds me of how I felt as a kid. Focusing soley on the wrestling.

Your typical house show in the United States is not going to have a titantron, pyro, or intelligent lighting . I do however remember back in 2000 at a house show they did have pyro and alot of it surprisingly and some intelligent lighting . For the most part now it is just a ring, metal barricades, and a small lighting rig of your basic can lights.

I went in probably 1997-1998. And they had a main event that eventually went on PPV so it was a practice match with Kane, Austin and I think either Undertaker or Michaels. And they had a straight up red light for Kanes enterance but they had a tron. That same night I had an epic encounter with Foley, Owen Hart, and Paul Bearer. Owen was drinking (beer) Foley was laughing and I was confused. Man I miss Owen. Thank you my friend.
