In case it isn't obvious, and with TNA, it usually isn't... Samoa Joe vs Sting is in the near future. Maybe even as near as Bound for Glory.
However, with the rumored Veterans vs Young Blood angle stirring up, things are gonna get really clusterish very soon. Likely resulting in the aforementioned match having a slew of run-ins, that take it back so many notches you almost wish the match didn't occure.
With Joe he's had many dream matches happen and fail miserably, against the likes of Jushin Thunder Liger in TNA and Sabu, just to name two. However, he's also had a series of good matches with Angle, so all hope is not lost.
What I'm getting at is, when Joe and Sting finally lock it up in a one on one confrontation, in a sanctioned match.... will it be epic or will it fail horribly?

It'll be epic, just so long as its just those two and no one interfers, which at this point, doesn't seem possible.
But why do you consider Joe and Lyger a failure.

Here is one that I JUST thought of. Did everyone know that these two have fought before? I remember it being on an Impact in a KOTM qualifier. I'm pretty sure it was in 2007. I remember someone interefered (maybe Daniels?) and Joe pinned Sting, I think with the snap slam. But most people have forgotten about that. When these two lock it up, it should be at Turning Point to close out the year in my opinion. I'd rather see AJ go over Sting than Joe though.

I would prefer AJ to go over Sting instead of Joe. Joe doesn't need the rub from Sting. AJ makes more sense anyway. He is TNA in the same way Sting was WCW. I hope AJ gets the next title run.

I wouldn't expect it to be very good.

I think Sting should beat Joe for the title, in a epic match with blood, sweat, and tears. (And no run ins)
Then at Turning Point we get AJ vs Sting in yet another epic encounter, with AJ taking home the gold.

sting has really impressed me in the ring since going to TNA,being as fast and fit at his age is a testiment to life and hard work. he can still do it in the ring and against joe will be no different imo
