I can actually see how this story could be entertaining. Thank god it isn't just the same as in WCW.

I think this is a great storyline. It could do a lot of good for TNA. They could even bring Foley into this angle.

I do not really watch a lot of TNA.
Before I watch the vid, what did he do?

I do not really watch a lot of TNA. Before I watch the vid, what did he do? He talks about how he paved the way for the younger guys like Flair did for him, and MOST of the younger guys in the back are "spoiled brats" who would not even have a job if it were not for him. I think they are trying to go heel with him, but the crowed clapped for him the entire time. Then Styles comes out and confronts Sting. Sting gives AJ the bat and tells him to hit him. AJ tried, and Sting reverses into a SDD. After this Jarrett's music plays, and the show ends. Well done segment.

part of his heel turn i think they should give him this attire where he has all red face paint grow out his hair and where a shirt or surfer sting.

Sting's promo on iMPACT! was incredible. I'm actually kind of excited for this storyline.

i thought it was a well done promo, though a tad bit repetitive. Most likely just because they wanted to get the point across. I have to say that most of Sting's promos during his career have never been that great and usually do turn out repetitive. Even Chris Cruise of former WCW fame stated that Steve wasn't always the best interview even when he was motivated and I believe that.

I quit watching wrestling, but I'll always watch Sting.
That was incredible, and if you guys want to keep posting the videos in here I'll watch them happily.

I agree that it was somewhat repetitive, but he made the best he could out of it. They sent him out there for the last 10 minutes of the show with about 3-4 minutes of material. It was definitely not as bad as it could have been.

I have to say that most of Stings promos during his career have never been that great and usually do turn out repetitive. Even Chris Cruise of former WCW fame stated that Steve wasn't always the best interview even when he was motivated and I believe that. Exactly. Sting was never a great promo guy. The promos didn't suck they were just passable. Sting is his look, energy, and how he works a wrestling match. That being said, the promo on Impact was possibly his best in my opinion. That is the first time I recall Sting looking so comfortable cutting a promo. I think we may be getting a very motivated Sting for this angle. Mainly because I think this is his retirement tour as well. The only other thing I would like to see before he retires is one more match with Flair. Sting vs. "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair One last time. It could be the last match for both of them. I can't accept the sham retirement match Flair already had with HBK. The real match is with Sting. Flair made Sting and Sting remade Flair. They took each other to new heights. It was like Hogan and Piper. You couldn't have one without the other in my opinion. I doubt it will happen though. Flair even though not with WWE right now probably wouldn't risk pissing Vince off. He still needs Vince McMahon's money as a security blanket.

I thought Sting's promo and his confrontation with AJ came off pretty awkward. Sting is supposed to be the heel, yet his best heel impersonation is yelling in an angry tone. It didn't help the morons in the Impact Zone were cheering him on when clearly he was speaking from a heel's perspective. AJ Styles is so much better when he's the cocky guy. Why must TNA turn guys like AJ and Joe into spineless cry babies?
The material of Sting's promo was cliche, but that can be attributed to the morons who are rehashing this "veterans vs. new generation" angle. All it does is further divide the roster into the big two categories. It makes guys like Joe, AJ, and others look like newbs without credibility. It's been four years since TNA's national television debut and their "homegrown" main eventers are still being treated like the new kiddies on the block. It's pathetic that this is the best storyline they can come up with, tbh.

Some people need to retire for real.

If this was an attempt for Sting to be a heel, it failed miserably. Not saying the promo was bad but if you got people cheering you and you're supposed to be a heel, you're not doing something right.
