How anyone could say Edge/Taker over HBK/Taker is beyond me, Taker/HBK was 5 Stars, Edge/Tsker was great but not as good as even Taker/Foley.

Shawn Michaels/Undertaker at Badd Blood: In Your House 1997. I concur. This is a classic five star match, absolutely perfect. Even the interference in the end made sense and worked. |

Not an answer to the question...But anyone know at what point it became Hell in a Cell...Rather than Hell in the Cell...I was watching Raw from '97 on on demand and both HBK and Undertaker refer to it as Hell in the Cell...No big deal...Just thought it was interesting.

Tough question - I have 3 which stand out in my mind:
Badd Blood 1997 - Taker/HBK: 1st ever match and it proved to be brutal, also we saw Kane make his historic debut.
KOTR 1998 - Mankind/Taker: The bumps foley took in that match were absolutely insane!
6 Man match at Armageddon 1999 - Was like a dream match - Angle/Taker/Austin/HHH/Rock & Rikishi all going at it in the cell - very entertaining match and Rikishi getting thrown off the top was pretty cool.

I think WWE uses them both. I have heard Hell in a Cell and Hell in the Cell both fairly consistently. I have no proof of this, but I would venture a guess and say that during the buildup for the Edge/Taker match, it was referred to as HIAC and HITC. To answer the original post, I think HBK vs. Taker is classic because it was the first (and perfect). I think Mankind vs. Taker is classic because it was brutal and do memorable. I also really like the Edge vs. Taker. I felt as though it was the most entertaining...even if it wasn't the best. Despite my better judgement, I actually thought Edge might pull it off. |

Edge vs. Undertaker... Plus, I was there!  I do like the Shawn Michaels vs. Undertaker and Mankind vs. Undertaker one both too, but I have to say that my favorite would probably have to go to Mankind vs. Undertaker just for what happened in the match, with Foley getting thrown off the top onto a table and later getting chokeslammed threw the cage... |
