Preshow Notes: everyone showed up at last possible second, so there's quite the good attendance tonight. Things are running right on time as usual. Ready for things to go!
The teams were determined about an hour ago, says Louden. Louden out to sing - "CHIKARA is Neccisito". I'm too tired to spell Spanish properly.
1. Icarus and Ultimo Breakfast vs Tim Donst and Helios: Icarus has quite the disturbing case of moose knuckle going on. This match is just making no sense at all, everything's just all over the place. Breakfast slapped Icarus in the face to tag him in, completely unprovoked. Helios was killed dead with a He's Toast Razors Edge. Slopy start but not bad towards the end.
2. Lince Dorado and Jimmy Olsen vs Shane Storm and Eddie Kingston: Real good match, mostly a crazy brawl. Very good stuff. Lince tapped out Kingston with the CHIKARA Special. King then flipped out on some fan.
3. Halcon Guerrera and Mitch Ryder vs Vin Gerard and Colin D. Olsen: Colin got a MONSTER pop. Unreal. Mitch is just spurting out racist comments across the board. Halcon killed himself on a dive, beyond scary. Colon hasn't lost a step here, looking better than ever. Vin Gerard locks Halcon in the STF for the immediate tapout.
4. Larry Sweeney and Claudio Castagnoli vs Pinkie Sanchez and Mike Quackenbush: Pinkie and Sweeney trade lockups and struts early, some very fun stuff with those two. Claudio hit the big spin up to FIFTY on Pinkie, unreal. Sweeney and Quack also had some really good back and forth. Best match so far by far. Quack caught Sweeney in a rollup for the pin.
Intermission. Finals are in October.
5. Brodie Lee vs Hydra: Hydra came out to Diesel's music possibly dressed as a gay trucker. This is just complete and total annihilation, the death of poor Hydra is imminent. Brodie wins via boot.
6. Icarus and Ultimo Breakfast vs Lince Dorado and Jimmy Olsen: Lince tried to get me again with a dive. Another failure, like the rest of his career. ULTIMO Breakfast taped on his mask to avoid it being ripped off. Icarus still has an obscenely visible package...sign of how absolutely meh this match is. Jimmy and Lince win. Meh.
7. Vin Gerard and Colin Olsen vs Mike Quackenbush and Pinkie Sanchez: Colin and Vin spend time breaking down Quack's knee, including Vin biting it for whatever reason. Vin locked Quack in the STF on the floor and Quack tapped then passed out due to the pain. Colin pinned Pinkie with the FU for the win.
8. Hallowicked and The Colony vs Team FIST and the Osirian Portal: Chuck seems to be scared of Ophidian. For Dan's injury update thread, Amasis is wearing a soft brace on his right knee. Really awesome stuff early between the Colony and the Portal. HALLOWICKED JUST OUTDANCED AMASIS. THAT JUST HAPPENED. THEN CHUCK THDEW A GRENADE HIGH IN THE AIR AND CAUGHT IT AND PUT IT IN WORKER ANT'S BUTT AND THIS IS HAPPENING ROGHT NOW. Akuma Is pinned with the Ant Hill. Wayyyyyy too long, like a Briscoes match minus the two counts.
