CHIKARA presents "Style and Substance"

Preshow notes: Hot as all hell and everything has been a trainwreck. VPW's apron and ropes, no guardrails again. At least the entrance stage is creative. Attendance is good stuff, probably 250.
1. Team FIST vs The Colony: Worker Ant now has a leather vest to go with the Hansen schtick, which will never ever get old and will always put me in tears of laughter. Worker Ant even attempted a lariat to no avail. Fire Ant and Akuma went back and forth with chain moves before Chuck caught Fire with an Omega Driver legit out of nowhere for the pin. Fun match.
2. Lince Dorado vs Eddie Kingston:King comes right out the gate to attack Lince, to receive wild "EDDIE!" chants. Quite the brutal match early on. After two backfists, Bryce DQ's King for excesivo castigo. Lince asks for a restart, Bryce agrees and King rails him with a shot to the groin for a DQ.
3. The Fabulous Two vs Super Smash Bros.: Today's game is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Arcade Game...but to ruin the fun, Buck ripped the game out of the console and threw it outside. Should be noted that Dos glitched and Uno had to blow in the cartridge to get it right. After tons of back and forth, SSB get the tandem pin on Buck for their third point and a future title shot in Cleveland!
Jimmy Olsen promo: He's not wrestling Soldier Ant, the goose chase is over. Jimmy calls Colin out. Hug in the middle of the ring, Colin's glad to be back, didn't want to tell him the situation because he'd lose his focus on wrestling. Colin says he was doing his best to look out for him, but Jimmy's worse off and doesn't get it. Vin and Storm come out to attack Jimmy, the three are now together. Lince comes out to save Jimmy, but they stomp him out. The rudo trio is now known as The Unstable.
4. The Order of the Neo-Solar Temple/The Best Around vs Incohelios and Hydra: TBA come out to "Anarchy in the UK", which was a SERIOUS confusing tease. Hydra with new full tights, one side with movie tickets, the other side with a gun that says "gun show" on it. This is right now the best gear in the history of eternity. Crossbones just kicked Helios in the back so hard that I may have seen his foot trying to burst through the skin of Helios' chest. This started an INSANE spring win everyone hitting huge moves, finishing when Delirious rolls up TJ Cannon for the three.
5. Soldier Ant vs
: Chikarason comes otandannnces that Jimmy had to forfeit his match, but Colin is going to be forced to take his place. pretty big "you got fired" chant, cementing rudo status. Colin wins in 3:26 with a very mocking FU. Colin cuts a promo after about how a superstar that's been places deserves better than that.
Global Gauntlet announcement: Yolanda, Travis and Seth will allbein attendance as confirmed by Louden's poor who will be there in the crowd.
6. Winner Gets All Expense Paid Trip to Germany: The Osirian Portal vs Cheech and Cloudy: Cheech and Cloudy have spent the whole summer at the beach and now have surfer gimmicks. Realy fun swim and surf related bits early on, this is incredibly ridiculous. Portal are all business today, though, no fun from the Egyptians. The Portl land their tandem dives on Cloudy for the win and the trip to Tag World.
7. Icarus vs Larry Sweeney: Icarus did a lame HHH inspired entrance. Thumbs down. Sweeney rolled Icarus up win maybe an accidental hook on the tights for a three.
8. Tim Donst and Mike Quackenbush vs Vin Gerard andShane Storm Stigma: Storm's name was just changed to Stigma by demand of Vin. Stigma and Vin team up on Donst in quite the dastardly way. Ended up in quite the brawl, Vin Gerard killed Quack with the STFand as they were about to take Quack out for good, JIGSAW runs in to make the save for Quack. After the coast is cleared, Jig goes for a handshake...but Quack refuses and Jig leaves through the front exit.
Global Gauntlet announcement: The team accepting is BIG JAPAN. The captain of the CHIKARA team will be Quack.
Intermission.
9. Steel Cage Match: Claudio Castagnoli vs Brodie Lee: Bryce is your ref on the inside, Sabato and Nick P. on the outside. Match starts with a brawl on the outside before the men get locked in. Brodie's throwing Claudio into the steel early, the cage ripping at his gear. Claudio's trying to fight back but Brodie keeps cutting the man down. Finally Claudio throws Brodie straight into the cage and cuts him open big time, blood gushing out of his head and elbow. Brodie lands a big boot and a Liger bomb, putting Claudio down for a two count. Brodie tried to climb over, but Claudio stopped him and they both crotched the top rope. Complete insanity, Bryce is taken out but recovers in due time. Brodie hits a massive powerbomb for a two count. Big boot, two count. Buck Hawke comes out to hand Brodie a chain, but Sweeney takes him out. Claudio is climbing to the top...CLAUDIO DIVES! RICOLA BOMB! 1, 2, 3! Amazing match. Brodie is dead in the ring.
Amazing show. Amazing ending. Amazing...amazing.
