I'm between two books at the moment. I started reading Programming the Universe: A Quantum Computer Scientist Takes On the Cosmos. But I couldn't resist the temptation of starting Not Even Wrong: The Failure of String Theory and the Search for Unity in Physical Law. And Mr. Brown Can Moo! Can You?

Just finished Ken Folett's Pillars of the Earth. It was a really good book, I enjoyed it thoroughly. I'm starting Dean Koontz's Winter Moon right now. I know it is one of his older ones but I am a big fan of his work so I couldn't resist.

The WATCHMEN Graphic Novel. same. After seeing the trailer while watching TDK, I went out the next day and bought it. This is actually my 4th time reading it, and IMO, I'll never get tired of reading it.

I'm reading The Count of Monte Cristo for school. Pretty dull so far but probably just like any other book it will pick up sooner or later.

I'm reading The Count of Monte Cristo for school. Pretty dull so far but probably just like any other book it will pick up sooner or later. I read that in high school. That's a book that I didn't quite understand while I was reading it, but after I finished it and was able to reflect on what I had read, I enjoyed the story quite a bit. I'd love to read it again someday. The teacher had a bunch of extra copies at the end of the year (I guess the school bought some newer editions) so she let people take a copy if they wanted one. I grabbed one and eventually I'll get to reading it again. Another book I am reading in school is To Kill A Mockingbird, but it's boring and is one of those mandatory books the district gives out. Another book I read in high school. Truth be told, I did find much of it to be boring. However, the couple chapters devoted to the actual court case itself is some of the best literature I've ever come acrossed. Another book I wouldn't mind reading again someday. As for me personally, I'll just copy/paste my response to a similar thread made earlier this week in the Entertainment board: I read "The Girl Next Door" by Jack Ketchum about a month or so ago and just today I read a short story/novella entitled "The Barn" by Brandon Swarrow. The first one was better than the movie, and one of the most "gripping" books I've ever read (I read it in just two or three sittings, and I wouldn't be surprised if I would've read it in one had it not been for the fact that I'd seen the movie) and the second one had some okay ideas, but I completely understand why it was self published. It seemed like a first draft done by a high school student, though the writing seemed to improve slightly as the story progressed. I've got plenty of books that I still need to read, but it's harder to find time to do so now that classes are in session.

I read the complete unabridged version a while back and loved it. I was familiar with the story before I read it, but after reading it, I loved it even more. It's a classic story of what revenge ultimately gets you. I confess I don't read a lot of current fiction. If I'm reading fiction it's the classic stuff like that.

I'm currently reading, Heretic: Betrayers of Kamigawa. I'm almost done but I'm kinda not interested any more since I've never read the first book, Outlaw: Champions of Kamigawa.

Did you read any of Seth Lloyd or Peter Woit's other books ? And yes I did actually read those books (for school purposes only though) I am currently reading The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas because the movie is out (not out until November in the US of A )

I'm on a little Christopher Buckley hit. I just finished Boomsday, which is about a twenty-something woman who devises a plan to have all "Baby Boomers" commit suicide at age 65. A very interesting and humorously satiric read.
I'm on to Chris' Thank You For Smoking. I'm absolutely in love with the film, and 47 pages deep, the book is even better so far. It just adds.. something that the film didn't quite capture.
His 2002 book No Way to Treat a First Lady is definitely next in line, and I'm bugging my local library to get in a copy of his 2008 release, Supreme Courtship.
