You guys look to deep into things, and what's worse you manipulate the smallest detail into what you really want it to be. Chances are it is a new method to identify who made it, on what day, in what warehouse or something similar to that. Could even be who quality assured it at a quality control point. If bitter consumers continually complain about a products quality, they have no choice but to pinpoint the problem areas to make an attempt to fix it. Although Jakks has lost future rights to WWE, they are still a toy company and may have stepped up to try and oversee workmanship. Not that I know anything about WWE figures, but I would bet my "boys" that it has nothing to do with entrance music if various superstars have the same number. Bottom Line: You would know if it was significant enough for us as consumers to know why it was there. Since nothing was written on the box, I'd say it is nothing intended for us. hmmm... good point, and you are probably right, especially that last part. but Jakks definetely said they are bringing back the TTL-esque/figure identification system for a new playset, so you never know.

Erm yeah, but my point is, we were supposed to start getting the coding on figures, and now we have. So yeah, what do you think that means?

I rush proto pics and news, but this is a little more complex, but if you are all right and every figure so far has the same coding, somebody screwed somthing up big-time

Here is proof they started barcoding on figures. What proof? Where is barcoding? It looks like the same NUMBER that is on every one else's figs

A barcode is numbers though. He means proof because he took a pic to show I wasn't lying.

Well, that's actually a good idea for Jakks ( or Mattel ).
Figs that triggers some device in the entrance or ring that plays their music.
Did they ever do those for TTL?

I have seen the pics, but if ya'll call numbers a barcode, then I need to go ahead and just exempt myself from this conversation. There is NO WAY IN HELL Jakks is going to make a toy that scans real numbers instead of a barcode. And a barcode is not numbers, it is a series of bars with each bar width corelating to a number.

Ok then, what are we supposed to call them? I assumed barcode was an alright word. Jakks did something similar for TTL's with the same metal device things on the feet. All the figures had the same metal piece just like these have the same numbers. I guess they thought instead of doing the silly metal thing this time they should use a more simple method.

My daughter has a Princess Cash Rgister by Mattel and before you can "scan" something you have to put the Barcode into the reader and then pretend to scan the item. You put the matching card for the item in the reader and then scan the item. I don't know how Jakks plans on doing their figures, but I'm telling you guys sit back and wait. They might have to "renig" on this idea because the simple ideas won't work.
I still think these numbers are nothing for us to care for as they are all the same. How are you going to have a unique them for all the same wrestlers?
And they can not scan without some sort of barcoding. The only other possibility is by using light sensitive brail cards. You insert whatever is punched and the processor reads the light that passes through the punched wholes. Not sure how they would do that either...

You are right, we'll just have to wait and see. Also this may mean something. Jakks started adding a line in a kinda circle around the bottom of the boots, like they placed a sensor in there or something. Maybe I will try and email Jeremey and see if he knows.

I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't an inside pool. Jakks put the number on the bottom of the boots and the employee to guess the closest number of how many email or freakouts they seen or heard of, get's a 1 of 1 Macho Man. This all being done in the name of new ideas created at the imaginations of forum member.
I mean seriously, what do they have to loose... A contract to rights?

OH MY GOD!! SAVE_US.1838... IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW!!! They are stamped with a batch number. Thats all. I can 100% assure everyone that if/when Jakks make a stage that has the ability to read barcodes, it will be stamped all over every figure that can be used with it. Besides, why are you all waffling on about TTL's steel feet? You guys are talking about putting microchips inside figure as though its something new. Anyone remember R3 at all? No? Its nothing i'd get my hopes up about. Jakks aren't going to spend money on figures to make them interactive with a playset that hasn't come out yet. What if the stage flops and no one wants it? they'd waste that $$ on nothing. They'll release the playset (more than likely with its own figure line) and you'll cut the special barcode off the back of the box and use it. I'm pretty sure thats how Jeremy said it would work. Three pages...
