.....DUN-DUN-DUN..... ...This is going to mean something isn't it?... Hopefully it has something to do with the stage. I have no other idea what it could be.

weird, my RA Rhodes has the same numbers, 1838, so it cant be an item number. I dunno, its kind of annoying.

Maybe its figures that didnt pass quality control. Id have no idea what it is, perhaps the number just indicates it can be used with the playset. Surely with todays technology jakks dont needt to put a huge metal piece on the bottom.

Why don't we just ask Jeremy what the hell these numbers mean?

It could just be number 1838 that was made.

Theoretically 1838 could just be the model # of the boot for the fact those figures will work in the stage.
Maybe the thing is inside of the foot, so they marked it outside with a # to let you know its one of the figures that will work.

Maybe the arena thing will come with a screen and when you type in the number, the whole series comes up and you click on the guy's theme you want.

Maybe the arena thing will come with a screen and when you type in the number, the whole series comes up and you click on the guy's theme you want. That sounds WAY too advanced for Jakks Pacific, even these days. Ignite The Flame is probably correct in what he said, that the chip is inside the foot and the number identifies the figure with the upcoming playset. If anyone remembers the Snappin' Bashers line of figures from about six years ago, each of those figures featured chips in the soles of their feet but they didn't protrude like TTL. The chip was placed inside the foot, and I believe worked with the Metal Vengeance Arena. Same concept really, although Jakks has likely become better at concealing the chip inside.

hopefully if this is true jakks does it for da and ad figs aswell. Probably not though. For the figs who dont work for tron they could put an input on the stage that plays the music of whatever you want to play. Hogan returns and the whole stage lights up red and yellow. would be just awesome.

I don't think the RSR 09 will be able to do anything with just a number. Not really anything to "scan".

But still it's really odd that we were supposed to be getting barcode things on figures for the new arena, and now we are suddenly getting them. The figures never had them so why would they now?

i can't beleive i didn't notice this!! thanks for the info!
personally i'm not interested in playsets, and I know i can make a custom arena/titantron that is a million times better than anything Jakks could make (not criticising them, it's just not possible at this price point!) but looking from a child/play'ers point of view, for this to be better than the TTL system they need to use PROPER WWE themes (not simplified/inaccurate) that last at least 30 seconds and also they need some way of updating/downloading/purchasing new themes or possibly mp3 compatibility.
oh and, Jakks if you're reading, I would buy ANY playset that comes with a new exclusive figure, like a referee... hint-hint...

You guys look to deep into things, and what's worse you manipulate the smallest detail into what you really want it to be.
Chances are it is a new method to identify who made it, on what day, in what warehouse or something similar to that. Could even be who quality assured it at a quality control point. If bitter consumers continually complain about a products quality, they have no choice but to pinpoint the problem areas to make an attempt to fix it. Although Jakks has lost future rights to WWE, they are still a toy company and may have stepped up to try and oversee workmanship.
Not that I know anything about WWE figures, but I would bet my "boys" that it has nothing to do with entrance music if various superstars have the same number.
Bottom Line: You would know if it was significant enough for us as consumers to know why it was there. Since nothing was written on the box, I'd say it is nothing intended for us.
