i agree that the x division has been dead for awhile with nothing to distinguish itself from the cruiserweights in WWE. in the early day of TNA the division was the focal point of the promotion & what help to establish TNA as a true wrestling alternative. matches that they had at the beginning were groundbreaking and nowhere near what we're seeing today. it would be nice to see them bring respect back to the belt & the division. i just don't know how it's possible at this point.

The night Jim Cornette announce all the titles on the line is when the company went down hill. They showed some recovery for that mistake thanks to Kurt angle, but then drug out Joe finally winning(sounds familiar) and it's continued to go down. For those that watch ratings...they're very indicitive, yet the bookers in TNA still think they know what they're doing. Even the wrestlers are complaining

I don't like Davari all he talks about is are Government sucks and how he rapes white ppl or something. Good, he's doing his job, you're not supposed to like him. I'd rather it be on Daivari than Williams. Without Steiner, Williams is kind of misplaced. Daivari will at least feud with Creed, who I still think is Afro Thunder come to life. |

if it were possible & especially since senshi's not with TNA anymore i'd like to see TNA vacate the belt, have the x-cup tournament featuring styles, daniels, senshi, homicide, along with the rest of the x division with the two winners facing off at the end (with brackets similar to wcw's mayhem '99). get back to what made the title stand out to begin with.

It sucked after Devine lost the title  it went downhill when Devine won it tbh no it didn't . do you know that johny Devine was trained by hart family just like chris jericho . so that means johny Devine is a good wrestler . |

Johnny Devine has more knowledge of the business just by learning through the Harts then someone like Jay Lethal or Consequences Creed could ever hope to attain. Johnny Devine is easily the dark horse on the roster. There is so much untapped potential in Devine. Yet it's dumb ass fans that think just because he isn't using sexual innuendos or dressed like a  ing shark that he isn't charismatic or talented. TNA fans, they are bottom of the barrell losers who have no sense what so ever... you prove my point handsomely... There are probably more dumb crapTNA fans than there are intelligent, knowledgeable TNA fans... as evidenced by the iMPACT crowds and a lot of people hanging out around here... |

Daivari is far better than his WWE run showed, and I think he'll do a fine job as X-Division champion. He's at least better than Amazing Red and Sonny Siaki (as an X wrestler, I loved Siaki's stuff after losing the title) and they both had runs during the "good days" of the division.

if this keeps up the thread will be locked soon. back on topic...devine only serves to reinforce the topic of the thread: the x division is officially ruined. before you start flaming...i'll explain. devine like most of the x division wrestlers are under-utilized. therefore noone can make an accurate assessment of his wrestling ability(hart family or not) because he's never showcased like he & the rest of the x division guys should be & used to be. that was the whole point of the x division to begin with. this was ruined long before daivari. case in point...an x division mainstay like daniels being gimmicked out as curry man so we will never get the classics we used to with low-ki(senshi),& skipper who are now gone from the roster altogether because they were never used & "creative" doesn't know what to do with them because they're going in a new "direction"... right down the toilet.

TNA cannot survive with the X-Division being the main focus of the company anymore. It definitely was a big part of the early success TNA had. Still heavyweight wrestling makes the world go around.
That being said the X-Division is clearly in a rebuild mode. There is just a shortage of performers right now. Lethal and Dutt are held up by their feud. When it concludes I expect Dutt will return to the X-Div. and Lethal will go heavyweight. Eventually I expect that Daniels will drop the Curry Man gimmick and return to the X-Div. title picture. I wouldn't rule out the return of Shannon Moore either.
The problem for the X-Division started when all of the top names were elevated away from it. Styles and Joe will never mess with that title again. Shelley and Sabin are doing the tag team thing. Just give TNA a little time to rebuild.
