i have read the rules thanks..... and i belive it will stay here being as its not a part switch or just a simple painting of wrist tape or hair....i think it will do just fine on this board if not....im sure someone will move it......thanks for the post...for some reason when the photo's took the undercoat of white that i did seems to show through...its not as pronounced in person...not that that matters.....thanks for the kind words so far

wow that fixup is great..looks almost brand new !! i had to strip it down from head to toe with a magic eraser and some cleaning solvent...i was shocked at how well magic erasers work on the rubber kind of figures...works great on those wcw osftm figures as well...those got marked up quite easily....thank you

Awesome. I love seeing "old-school" stuff like this.
I don't think you need to repaint the lines on his pants, they look fine to me. If I might make a couple of suggestions - most of the time, El Matador's wristbands were hot pink. That might give it a bit more color. Also, if you look closely, he often has some sort of design on the sides of his pink boot covers. I think it might be a bull, but I can't quite make it out from the clips I can find right off hand, though. But it may be worth looking into if you're interested.
Is that a Ralph cape? It works surprisingly well with the LJN scale.

Wow! Extremely clean painting. It's totally more than a fix-up. It's a complete repaint with a totally customized paint scheme. I have always wanted to repaint my old LJNs because I, like everyone else, played very roughly with them and destroyed their paint jobs. Unfortunately I am not as good as you when it comes to painting, so I am too afraid to ruin my figures even worse.

Wow nice, looks good as new. Only suggestion I could make would be to go over the lines on the side of his tights again just to finish it off.

you could sculpt a pony tail, i believe he had one as matador. the shine gives it that brand new look. the cape was a nice touch too. this is a very nice custom. i love ljn customs and hope to see you make more of them. thanks for posting this

If anyone is interested in knowing the link to a great custom LJN site, PM me. I am not too sure about the rules here about posting links to others' work. So if you're interested, PM me.
As for this LJN, it certainly is vibrant. Another kudo goes to the skin tone. If that is just a polished up rubber skin tone, then 10/10 on being able to get it so clean. If the skin is painted on, then kudos for that too. I'd be more impressed though if it's the old rubber skin that looks new. Lastly, I'm concerned that the paint marker would leave the figure sticky. As a display piece, this is a nice doll. If it's something that a customer would have to handle and then display, I'd be worried about the tackiness of the paint marker.
Any feedback on whether it's tacky or not?

Any feedback on whether it's tacky or not? its not tacky at all....the paint markers i use are water based...the only way a rubber figure would be tacky i belive would be to use an oil base product.....skin was cleaned up....you should have seen it before...my next few i have taken before pictures of and will post them along with the final product so you can see the amazing difference...thanks for the kind words...pm me with that link i would like to see others work....i have envied some on ebay and thought they should have sold for way more than the asking price...
