I'm not sure if I am going to the TNA Fanfest in Chicago, as personal cameras are not allowed, you can only have a polariod taken. And they call this a photo op? Polariods suck. I though Polariod went out of business a while ago. They still make those blurry 3 X 3 pictures?
My question is, has anyone been to one of these TNA fanfests before and was able to use their own camera? I've never seen this before where they were so inflexable at an event, and don't want to waste my time going all the way to Chicago if the people running it are going to be sticklers. They said it would be strictly enforced too. They almost sound like airport security for a fan friendly event. I even told them I wasn't getting autographs, just one picture with my own camera, and I'm gone. I'd actually be LESS time in line doing this. Not cool guys!

Yes and No. You can take your personal camera in and take pictures of them enterting and signing your stuff but you can't take pictures with 'em using your own camera. I was a little peeved by it then reliazed it was because it took so long for people to get their personal camera ready instead of "Snap" polraid's took. THe polraids are also $20.00 - no offense but why are you going if you're not getting autographs? The whole point is to meet 'em..

When I went in Detroit, I had used my own camera for Jarrett and the next day for Angle.. I just asked Jarrett if he minded me using the camera, if I paid the money, he said he didn't care, passed the camera over and boom, picture was taken.
I did get Polaroids with others tho.

It is cool meeting them, good point, and autographs are cool, but I hate polariods, as most people I know feel the same way.

I like them as the wrestlers can sign the bottom of them and you dont have to pay to have them developed.

To anyone going:
I'm working on a custom 12" AJ Styles figure (commissioning someone to do full on custom head sculpt, and I plan on screen printing the t-shirt) - if ANYONE would be willing to let me send them the stand I plan on using for it and getting it signed for me, PLEASE PM me, I'll even pay shipping back to me, and the cost of the signature itself if there is one.

I know what you mean because I wasn't sure what to expect when I went to the TNA Lockdown Fanfest, but a lot of people were peeved at the fact that you can actually have your pictures taken with your camera, but you still had to pay for them. So what a few of us did since our fanfest was at a hotel we were able to get the wrestlers in between sets, but I just took pictures on my own and got the autographs, but in my opinion I would have preferred having the pictures taken with them and I'm with you I hate polaroids.

I doubt they still use polaroids though. They moved the in ring photo ops from polaroid to their digital camera's connected to printers that print you out a 4x6 in a matter of minutes. I bet they do that for the fan , it was run real well at the house show a few weeks ago.

It's alot easier at the in-ring photo-ops due to the fact it's one person. 50+ people signing/getting pictures is a little hander to manage.

Not as many do photos at a fan fest, most just do autos. And they can have 10 printers, instead of 1. Plus they only have like 15-20 at a time, talent switches.
