Some people in WWE feel John Morrison doesn't know how to generate real heat, thus explaining why he hasn't received a huge push in the company. A few have criticized him for acting "too goofy" with his character and going more for laughs than boos, reports ProWrestling.NET.

Today's fans are so impatient, I understand John Morrison has been around for a few years now, but very few guys get catapulted to the top in that time period.
For instance look at HBK, Bret Hart, Steve Austin, Edge, The Rock, Triple H...the list goes on and on - it takes time.
Furthermore, if the WWE would have been smart, they would have aired 'The Dirt Sheet' on television and not made it exclusive to the net, that would have made both the Miz and Morrison more popular.

Morrison is more of a laid back/ cool kind of Character, I really think that doesn't generate heat to be honest, I see Morrison as a Cool Heel.

Fans were just now talking about this the other day, this is complete and stupid speculation. If he wasn't doing what vince didn't want him to do, he wouldn't be on tv.

I was wondering if you saw this, obviously you did mate.
Its a shame its the case because Morrison is an awesome athlete. They really need to change the comical things he gets given. He should really try and attract heat now instead of doing the dirt sheet which really ends up as a comedy sketch.

As long as he graces my television, I'm happy.

I'd like to see Morrison given a face push to the main event of RAW or Smackdown... but there'd have to be a good reason for the turn for it to work.

Yeah I did, was really a big coincedent as we only discussed this a couple of days ago. Sucks big time, he is told what to do , stop The Dirt Sheet if that helps, and attack Matt Hardy to generate heat!

The problem isn't the comical gimmick, it's how it was sold.
The Rock, Triple H with DX and E&C were all comedy acts that were huge successes.
The Dirt Sheet should have been aired on TV and not on the internet, while many of us peruse the net watching their clips, the majority of fans do not.
Also, John Morrison doesn't possess great mic work like the other gentlemen I listed above, I just don't think he has a natural knack for it, he can polish those skills, but I'm not sure they will ever be at the level of what's required to be at the top.

To a degree it is true. Morrison and Miz do go for the heel laughs more than for actual heat. But at the same time, that is what their role is right now. They have no incentive to want a push as they are pretty over in the role they are in right now.

He'd only been there 2 years when he got his first world title. but then again, he's something of an anomaly. Morrison is still young, and has plenty of time to reach the main event, which i think he will eventually.

I personally think Morrison deserves a push. Great look, great in the ring and he's got to work on his mic skills a bit, but he he'll get better.
