Bill Behrens Leaks ECWA Super 8 Date
According to a recent Bill Behrens column on Wrestlezone.com, this year's Super 8 will take place on 10/25/08. Bill also leaked the first participant for this years tournament, as he announced Shannon Moore will be there. The news tidbit was released in a column about Moore's upcoming indy shows, as Behrens is Moore's agent.
ECWA promoter Jim Kettner, the mastermind behind the Super 8 tournament, is usually very secretive about the Super 8 which why it is surprising to already see the date & first wrestler announced.
The Super 8, which traditionally was held in the spring, took place in the fall last year, with Jerry Lynn winning the tournament. To show you the importance of the tournament, in the past, ROH has used guys & taken ideas from the tournament and it is funny now that it is rumored ROH is going to give Lynn a "Rocky Balboa" type push, as that is what took place in last year's tournament.
