Most of these matches were either going to happen but were scrapped due to egos, injuries or last minute changes. Granted some of these possible matches were just rumors. Examples
Hogan said he never pinned Piper due to Pipers refusal to be pinned but if they had locked up were Hogan would have pinned him it more than likely would have been WM 2.
Hogan, Austin and Lugars mouth and ego keep them from main eventing the Flair, Hogan, and Brett match at their respective WM title matches. (yes the Rock vs Hogan wasnt at title match but A it probably would have been and b) lets face it, that was the draw for that WM)
HHH vs Rock vs Austin and Rock is simply a fantasy match.
Rock vs HBK probably would have happend had HBK not have gotten injured for those 4 yrs, I'm just not sure it would have been the ME in any of those years.
HHH vs Cena was going to be the ME rematch but HHH's quad injury keep him out. Simmilar situation to HBK's supposed injury when he was to drop the strap to Brett

Hogan vs. Flair. It could have actually meant something when they were both still hugely over. Instead we had to wait until WCW to see it and at that point, nobody really cared. I would hope that it would have ended with Flair going over, but I doubt it.

Hogan/Austin. Not necessarily because I didn't like The Rock/Hogan, because it was an amazing match to see live.. but just because of the 'what-if' factor.
Who knows, maybe we'll still see it someday.

I dont consider Austin vs Hogan a must see match personally.
My first thought was Hogan vs Flair but I voted for Bret vs Shawn at WM 13. Its a real shame that those two only had two matches on a major event considering the feud that lasted between them for so long.
Sure Austin vs Hart was amazing no doubt but at the time, you had to want another Hart/Michaels match.

I'm pretty sure HBK vs Hart would not have been good at wm13 and I'm glad we got Austin vs Hart.

Wrestlemania 16 should have been The Rock vs Triple H, not that 4 way sh*t that happened.

I guess because their matches together from 96' and 97' just had so much behind them. I watched that 92' match a few years ago and found it interesting that the finish was very similar to that of WM XII except HBK gave up. Still, I would have liked another Mania match between the two of them.

Well before Kurt Angle went to TNA, he was originally penciled in to face Triple H for Wrestlemania 23. Despite them having wrestled plenty of times before, this would have been the ultimate match between the two, with them both at the peak of their careers and the top two wrestlers in the WWE at the time.
Kurt Angle V Mr Perfect for Wrestlemania 18, or The Rock V Shawn Michaels for Wrestlemania XXIV.

I must say, ever since it almost happened at Survivor Series 99, I've always wondered how Austin vs. Triple H vs. Rock would have went.

First I heard of that. I definatly wouldn't say they weren't at the peak of thier careers. HHH has never imo really delivered at WM for me. His best match was against Undertaker, which was classic but overall I'm happy with Cena vs. HBK.

It's gotta be Hogan vs. Flair at Wrestlemania 8..... That would have been one of the biggest matches of all time.... I still can't believe WWF ed it up....

Hogan vs Flair was everybody's dream match back then. I know why it was changed now, but it was still a very stupid decision.

The Rock vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Mankind- I always though this should have been the main event of Wrestlemania XV.

Rock vs HBK.
Yes, Hogan vs Flair would have been big, but we still got it in WCW, and Rock vs HBK would have been/would be something new and awesome.
