NWA champ Adam Pearce finished up with Ring of Honor for the forseeable future at this past Saturday's Glory by Honor event where he regained the title from Brent Albright in Philadelphia, PA.
Pearce's departure was announced by manager Larry Sweeney on his voicemail hotline (215-781-2250) as Sweeney announced he was "flexing his muscle" by pulling Pearce out of the company.
Pearce was aware he was finishing up over the weekend and said his goodbyes to the crew. I believe it was simply a cost-cutting issue as ROH simply had too many people being brought in regularly, but there was no heat and the door is open for Pearce to be used down the line.
Pearce will be a big part of the NWA's planned relaunch of their Wrestling Showcase series on The Dish Network's Colours channel in the fall. ---------------------------------------
This is surprising to me. He's been on a roll the past couple months with the NWA Championship.

Big LOL to guys crapping on Pearce when I've seen the guy get so much heat out shows in and out of ROH. Just because he's not all a million flips and haha comedy stuff doesn't mean he doesn't have a role.
If wrestling was a million Adam Pearce's it would suck but that's why ROH uses Necro, The Briscoes, Danielson, Nigel, Pearce, Albright, MCMG, Aries, all guys who are different.
It's a stupid way to look at pro wrestling if you don't want variety, which is what Pearce brought to the dance.

Oh right, so just because I mentioned that specific match as being ing awesome that obviously means it's the only good one he ever had? His whole angle with Albright was gold, his involvement in the CZW/ROH feud was excellent as well. He's a solid wrestler and like stated brings something different to the dance. He's a heat machine, and a great worker.

ANYONE can look good in a brawl. If he was really that great he wouldn't of been cut. Adam Pearce's bad out weights the good, sorry. If I want a good old school heel there are plenty of guys I'd watch before Pearce.

Adam Pearce doesn't know how to entertain, he only helps you fall a sleep and that's pretty much it.

I don't know why he makes you fall asleep, but you and you're intellectually- disabled JAPW bum-buddy here seem to be the only ones who he doesn't draw heat from. Plus what have Flair, Danielson & Perfect even got to do with this? Only Danielson is in ROH, and out of the others, well.. one is retired and the other is sadly not even with us anymore.

The fact that they can work an entertaining old school style? Like I said one good match. The CZW feud doesn't mean anything because ANYONE can look good in a brawl. Especially when it comes to indy wrestling.

ROH is finally smartening up and taking out the trash.

They could work the same style all they want, they're irrelevant because we're talking about Pearce's work in ROH, which, none of the others except Danielson are even a part of. Plus, Danielson and Pearce's styles are very different anyway!
And like I said, he works the whole crowd into a frenzy.. except you and your broski. Which says a lot.

If he works the whole crowd and is such a fantastic heel, why is ROH cutting him? If he was over enough ROH would be bringing him in all the time so obviously he's not.

So because he can work a crowd I should just love him? No matter how bad he is in the ring? Does that mean Hogan, Cena, JBL and others are great because they can work the crowd and cut a promo?
Pearce has had one good match and God knows how many stink fests. No one is still yet to counter this argument because it's the truth.

I guess your idea of what good wrestling is and what others is, is different. Working the crowd is a big part of being a wrestler. So because he can work a crowd I should just love him? No one is still yet to counter this argument because it's the truth. Yes, kind of. Why do you think JBL gets so much heat? Because he can play to the crowd. Why do you think Hogan and Cena are the best babyfaces of all time? Because they play to the crowd.

Plus, Pearce isn't even bad in the ring on top of that. Just because he doesn't go out there and do MOVEZ~! doesn't mean he's bad. Seriously, watch his matches with Albright, the CZW feud or any of his recent ROH work really. It's a shame he's been dropped.
