I tried to put out something that was half way decent. I knew I'd have a hard time making deadline. Sorry guys.

We tend to through these types of General Discussion lulls throughout most of the writing period, mostly because everyone is working on their rp's. As for me, student teaching and drawing up lesson plans at midterms. Yay!

Ola party people! I'm Alex and I used to RP here back in the day. I just logged on to this board for the first time in quite a while and saw that I had received a PM from my mans Drakz regarding my RP archive forum. For those interested, the basic jist is back in the day I set up a forum to archive old RPs for prominent RPers, my and my friends' work, and really anybody who had an interest in having their RPs stored safely somewhere. Anyway the board is at the link below if anyone is interested in checking that out; unholywa.proboards.com/I do believe that it's set up to where you have to register to view the forums. This was to avoid the possible downside of having a user-friendly, well organized catalog for some jerk to plagiarize others' work (IE Pierce Deville). I also set it up where I have to approve new members which I am too stupid to figure out how to change HOWEVER if any of you are JD or Enigma, your membership is active! So everyone's welcome to sign up to view and as well welcome to post any of their stuff. I make no guarantees on getting around to doing the proper admin work to updating sub-forums for all of ya'll but perhaps if someone here were interested in handling something like that I could give them ADMIN POWAHHHZZZ to do so. Anyway just thought I'd pass that along. Hope everyone's livin' the dream out here! Oss! JD is me, Alex. Call me an avid reader of archives in between my tenures in WFWF. With so much history in one place, I'll be reading for a while.

This is a sexuh set of results that, like Drakz said, did wonders in progressing storylines. Congrats to Tyme/Crowe on becoming National Champion. I do believe that title is in good hands to continue the line of strong champions we've had recently. So post show questionnaire time! 1. Favorite Match 2. Favorite Moment 3. Biggest Shocker 4. Show MVP 1. Hardcore Handicap- Now when Cam explained the concept to me, I wasn't sure how this was going to turn out. But brother you knocked it out of the park and still managed to integrate multiple storylines seamlessly. Plus Dare on commentary=win. 2. Ante promo- I think after the Kyzer win, announcing his intentions to go after a higher belt is a move he needs to make. He's really proving to be a big time player here, something many have predicted with him. 3. Closing segment-Only because of the implications. 4. Justin Tyme/Lucas Crowe- Writing a solid opening match and promo to push his storyline, then winning the National Title. Yeah, hard not to give him the MVP this show. And looking now at our title history section. We definitely have some updates that need to be made. Nice work guys on what could be considered a lackluster show.

I stand by what I've said for years bro. You stay long term, you've got main event material in you. Not to toot my own horn, but you've got the biggest match in your career ahead of you. You've faced guys better than me, but not for the second biggest title this place base to offer. I want a ridiculous showing out of you to prove my point. You're really good. Just gotta find a time when you have time to really dedicate some long term work and you could be disgustingly top tier. I think Drakz and jdfranchise can back me up here. You're in the same boat as Bishop. What should have been. Bish will be there when he comes back...no reason you and Bish can't be THE GUYS in a couple of years, unseat us old geysers. You have no argument from me bad guy™. I've been saying for a while, and I've said it to you privately before Cam, but you've got the goods to be a top caliber player around here. Right now is as good of a time as any to tap into that ability. Shawn's right about what lies ahead for you, and I'd love to see you put it together. Content wise, this was a very strong promo where you did flip the fourth wall on its ear. Straight to the point with no punches pulled. I think once you find a story that you can really sink your teeth into, I think we'll see a whole new wrinkle and a whole new plane of quality coming out of you.

I'll tag Thunder in here so he can advise on the art of college paper bull-sh*ttery, an art I learned from him. I actually wrote a paper on a similar topic in my Sophomore year. I wrote an essay on Protest music from the 60's and how songs came around because of events in Vietnam (Knights in White Satin) or related to events because of Vietnam (name escapes me, but it was about the Kent State massacre by Buffalo Springfield). Advice for writing op-end essays is just figure out your opinion and find proof to back you up. If you disagree with political messages, maybe look at bands like Green Day who went from a normal rock band to a political agenda style band because that's what's cool right now, the fight the authority message...but is it really that strong? If you agree, find a song or two that you really believe in their message and what it portrays and state WHY. The best thing about these kind of papers is that they are more opinion based than research based. Research based essays are an absolute pain in the, well, you know. The key is a strong thesis. When you find your opinion, make sure you dictate how strongly you feel about it in your thesis. A great thesis can make a paper go over a ton better to especially freshman professors. Shawn's right about a strong thesis going over well with college professors. And it's actually a good thing I've been grading essays at work recently, because I have some tips that'll help you. Trust me, I'm an English teacher. Gee, thanks for not tagging me Shawn. First off, essentially your professor gave you a blanket thesis statement, which is the topic you've been given for said paper. Finding a way to manipulate the blanket statement into the direction you want to talk about is the real key here (example: "Throughout every era of music, artists have used their songs to speak to audiences about many social and political issues.") This manipulation, while obviously borrowing from the assignment, gives you a range of eras to cherry pick songs from. The 3X5 format is custom made for an assignment like this, because while you have a shorter assignment (500 words, correct) you are put in position to where you don't have to go into much detail. 100 words per paragraph should be child's play, considering you've been fedding for a couple years now and you know how long some of WFWF'S rp's get. Make your points clean with good use of grammar, and appeal to your professor's age with at least one song choice from their youth (if they are in the 50ish range, "Ball of Confusion" by the Temptations or "We Didn't Start the Fire" by Billy Joel are excellent choices.) You don't want to pander too much though, because that can work against you. For more contemporary music, "Mosh" by Eminem is another strong choice.) The beauty of a 3X5 format is also the ability to provide your own commentary on what you believe the artist is trying to say in their songs (Ball of Confusion is talking about segregation and politicians doing anything to get a vote, ... The Fire is about major political figures over the years and massive social issues such as the AIDS epidemic, Belgium sending troops to the Congo and engaging in guerrilla Warfare, CCR'S "Run Through the Jungle" is about Vietnam, "Mosh" is about the government suppressing freedom of speech.) See how you have splinter topics to comment on? If you have to cite, make sure you are citing the artist so you don't get hit with plagarism. Then it's as simple as tying it up in a nice little bow at the end. Hopefully this helps a bit. Depending on when it's due, send me a copy and I'll proofread it for you and provide comments.

This is still a sexuh set of results, even though I'll admit I skimped the matches (sorry dudes, but at this point everyone knows what's happening). I think the segments really brought some cohesiveness and set in motion what should be another strong cycle. Drakz, I'd like to do the post show questionnaire to get some discussion going. 1. Match of the Night 2. Moment of the Night 3. Biggest Shocker 4. Show MVP 1. For me, it has to be Drakz/Nikki vs. DJS/Crowe. Great action and pace. Everyone looks good. 2. I want to say the Sam/Cam brawl. Loving what this could mean, and anytime we get Cam to do a match its always good. 3. Time limit Draw. Since when did we ever do that? *someone whispering in his ear* Ok, so it's been brought to my attention that apparently this was my idea. 4. Drakz, for not killing me when I caused the show to be late by way longer than I anticipated.

Just got the last bit I needed. Results will go up in the next few hours, along with the next card. As Drakz said guys, he got the last bit for the show last night. That's all on me, because until a couple days ago, I hadn't been able to get on the forums. I'm student teaching until the beginning of the year and I'm basically doing the job with no pay. One thing that really set me back is the school having a no cell phone policy on campus, which as most of you know I do all my writing on my phone. That and the state is going to visit soon, so I've been reorganizing my lesson plans and getting reacclimated with the material. So my apologies for the show being way behind, but this is my first opportunity to address it publicly. I encourage all the new guys to start trying their hand at match writing, as I feel it actually helps your rp'ing. It'll be hard at first but it gets easier. This is a big time for all of us and we need all hands on deck.

So wait, Drakz can't post his RP? Super lame. I was really wanting to give it a read. I can PM you a copy if you want to read it brother. Shoot it my way too, boss. I read it both times you posted it, and maybe I wanted to give you a reply that I can't give publicly now.

Ok bro, I know this was shorter than what you normally do, and given that I knew about your move when we talked a couple days ago, but this is excellent. The storyline is very good and hitting it from your side character's perspectives was a great move. Really showcased the swerve at the pay per view nicely. Knowing what I do about your upcoming stuff, this is off to a great start.

I was waiting on Ante to see if he could take our match before calling anything. You know I'll end up writing one. I just got back from vacation. School is gonna be starting very soon, but I'll let you know if I can't do it or not. I'm up for it. Ok that's cool man. Tell ya what, I'll knock the opening two matches out and if you get pressed for time, I'll pick up where you leave off.
