I got to leave work a lil early and I get tomorrow off for St Patrick's Day. I'm looking forward to 3 days of doing absolutely nothing!

Nike Cortez (white/red/blue - the Forrest Gumps)
I was a diehard Vans/Converse guy until I bought a pair back in 2020 and they kickstarted a nice lil Nike collection.

The only ones I can think of off the top of my head are from the Arn/Tully Four Horsemen elites but they're the smaller open back pads.

I've owned pretty much every kind of ring you can imagine with the exception of a few as they were before my time (Hasbro, Galoob, OSFTM, Remco) but the New Generation ring beats them all. I've been collecting for around 20 years and nothing I've owned is as good as that.
That said, when I was a kid the WWF Attitude Ring was my favourite. Bigger than your average spring ring, came with a steel cage and you could lift the base up and use it as a carry case. Loved that thing when I was young!

I made my pro wrestling debut Seriously? Congrats man! I knew you'd been training, but I had no clue you were ready to debut. Really cool man! Thank you mate! Had a battle royal today, got a nice little spot in where I hit a Scorpion Deathdrop (which is my finisher). I've got my singles debut tomorrow all being well!

Just ordered the Top Picks Lashley from Smyths. I haven't owned a figure of his since his first RA so I'm very excited to get this one in hand!

RR Rey down to £19.99 on Smyths site - happy to pull the trigger on him at that price! Fond memories of the '06 Rumble. Finally! Been waiting on this one dropping in price for ages it feels like. Definitely gonna swing by and pick one up this week.

Got mine today, really pleased with it! The Kane figure is really nice, love the shiny boots - I didn't even notice that in the proto images. Just wish they put him on ball joints because the hips are pretty stiff on it and I'm worried about them breaking.

I took my display down months ago. Inconsistent skin tones, scaling issues, figures inexplicably breaking, either joints that are too loose or so tight you can barely move them, constant repeats (I understand the need for anchor talent but how many Moxleys and Jerichos do we really need?), attire choices is a big one for me too.
They made the first Owen Hart figure in over 20 years... in an attire literally no one asked for. I understand you can't make his WWF attires due to IP issues, but I mean come on, I'm sure everyone would've been happier with a plain black or pink singlet or with generic designs rather than 3 versions of the same gear that no one remembers him best wearing. Such a let down.

Hey Steve, would it be possible to see New Gen/Attitude Scale Ring Skirts included with Ultimate Editions similar to the Jakks CSDA figures? I think this would be a good way to get more options out for collectors to customise their rings if accessory packs aren't being considered right now, or for more obscure events that it wouldn't make sense to market an entire ring playset around.

If you have any interest, I'd recommend trying to learn UX Design too. You already sound pretty well rounded for jobs but having that under your belt would help a lot too. Oh wow. I do graphic design too, but just freelance. Any recommendations for landing some jobs? I work on Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign (haven't done much besides poster layouts/type composition), record videos/photography. I also know how to animate a bit on After Effects, but have to relearn everything. I remember taking some UI and web design back in college, but that was so long ago. I'm thinking about going back to school. I'd say just building a good, professional looking portfolio and sharing your stuff on socials, making connections online is something that's helped me learn a lot. I'm completely self taught as a designer, everything I've learned has been from making graphics for my figure fed haha! But all the techniques I've learned over the years, I've been able to apply to other non-wrestling related projects. I sorta lucked into this job, I had already worked at the company for 2 years in another department when I saw it being advertised internally, I thought what the heck and sent my portfolio and resume and couldn't believe it when I got the interview. This is my first design job, but it's a foot in the door to the graphic design industry and I genuinely really enjoy what I'm doing for the first time in my life. Thanks for the tip The Real Valbroski I'll keep that in mind!

Both! There's a lot of variety in my job which is nice. Some days I work on stuff for socials, others I'm making banners/pop up stands for events etc. I also get to do a bit of video editing and photography from time to time as well which I really enjoy. That’s awesome. I do package design/print design which is extremely repetitive and tedious. I’m really only ever working in Illustrator and Photoshop with occasional InDesign depending on any existing files the client provides. You were smart to learn video editing too because a lot of companies look for that. I mostly work with Illustrator and InDesign, I haven't actually used Photoshop for all that much other than one or two projects (I just started in October). My first month or so was almost all After Effects though which I'd never really used before. It was a great opportunity to learn on the job and now I'm pretty comfortable with using it for animation.

Got introduced to the COO of my company and he said he was a big fan of the work I've been doing (I'm in graphic design). Pretty cool, also I got off early today and my new MacBook arrived! That's cool, I'm a graphic designer for a living too. Are you doing stuff for print or web? Both! There's a lot of variety in my job which is nice. Some days I work on stuff for socials, others I'm making banners/pop up stands for events etc. I also get to do a bit of video editing and photography from time to time as well which I really enjoy.
