Messed up. 😛 Still plenty of good fights on the card like Magny/Dos Anjos, Melendez/Stephens Cejudo/Reis and of course Nunes/Shevchenko. Just happy to have MMA to watch after having nearly none in August. Thats a fight night card at best imo. Even with mighty ducker. Gonna watch the prelims to see ashlee evans smith and call it a night. |

I'll take my chance getting it at Walgreens I refuse to buy it off RSC since they jack up there prices on store exclusives when in all actuality still trying to figure out how they get them. Since the Network Spotlight line is exclusive to Toys R US and I'm a manager at my local one I had to turn RSC in for selling it on their site TRU wasn't too pleased with them Pretty sure they just buy them and resell them, but I could be wrong. I still see why tru would be pissed...but damn...talk about taking your job too seriously, especially with the money troubles tru is having.  rsc for a job you wont have in a year because they might not even be there in a year |

Difference is, people actually watched wrestling when Earthquake had his run. Viewership is wayyyy down now. I think its exaggerated. I dont know how they get the numbers, but i know 20 years ago people werent streaming on phones, watching on wwe network or recording on dvrs and watching later. Idk exactly how much or that they do ( or realistically can) account for. |

You are speculating 20 years into the future to serve your own agenda.....Look you need to face facts, Earthquake was indeed a major part of the WWF 1989-1994, then went to WCW late 94-97 and was a major part of storylines there for the first two years. Then went back to WWE for a year. He had a year long money drawing house show run with Hogan and back then that was how money was made, house shows and the fact that it was so successful that they ran a year and ran some cities 3-4 times in a row tells you he was a big deal. He actually lasted a lot longer than most Hogan big man house show opponents who were usually brought in just to be cycled out after. He followed up with Hogan, by feuded with the number three babyface at the time in Jake the snake, then headlined house shows with LOD after. Out of my league? Give me a ing break. I dont need approval of what i think from you or any other person still living in 1992. All i need is for your ass to walk into a walmart and buy those figures that are so plentiful, because ya know, everybody wants them. Thats why i would see 22 of them at one store and 13 at the next right? Because everyone wants them so they special ordered just those 2 and no macho and very few zayn? And they were not drawing because of earthquake. Believe it or not, it was hogan. ing mind right? And LOD, one of the most dominant and popular teams ever, i guess they are lucky they had earthquake to get them over... |

I love going to TRU, but im not gonna let my personal feelings cloud my judgement. The 3 of them near me are just...so far behind on getting new product. They are wastelands of opened packages and missing items. I memtioned this on another thread, but they just dont care. And it goes far beyond lazy or poorly informed employees. Its all the way up the corporate ladder. They just dont care. Im not just some guy spewing crap i wouldnt know about. I worked there, and my girlfriend was a department manager. They have such a high allowance for theft that they just write it off as "oh well". Over half the cameras in the store dont even work. They aren't even hooked up. And they rarely watch the ones that do work. So i have no sympathy when i say that part of this is their own damn fault, because you cant make profit off of items that walk out the door. So maybe if they gave a damn, they wouldnt be 400 million in the hole. em. |

And all 7 crow stings arent elite either. 4 are. Again 4 to 2 isnt a huge thing. And while surfer sting might have some better attires, i think everyone needs to accept crow sting is just, well, better. And a figure not looking exactly how you want doesnt make it not count. oh kenny, it is a huge thing when elites are released at a snails pace - 4 series/year and if we're lucky some network spotlights/TNFs that don't necessarily guarantee flashbacks. At that rate we'll see the next elite surfer Sting in 2022 if we're lucky. I feel what youre saying, because there are a lot of things i want that may never happen in this line. I just think it really does come down to crow sting being the better and more iconic look. Surfer sting was a pretty piece in wcw. Crow sting was wcw. I own 4 of the crow stings. I own all of the surfer stings. So i get it. I just see it like its his #2 gimmick, so its gonna be released less than the #1. |

I would love if they were rubber! It's so difficult to stage a figure with any title. I literally have to shove them in their hands. On some figures it works, but others not so much:  Also Mattel should release an accessory set that just has all the titles. I know Mattel doesn't do Grapple Gear, but they should release a package with all the titles. I still have a Sunday Night Heat edition Grapple Gear from Jakks, so Mattel should do something like this:  Pretty sure they have already said that isnt gonna happen. Titles sell. Thats why they wont do it, because imagine how many more quakes and typhoons would be rotting if not for the belts. |

Sting wore so many different cool colors, I think it's a crime we've gotten multiple "crow" style stings now and not as many colorful Stings. I also really hate the smaller/skinnier legs they slap on him. Sting was a body builder, he is supposed to have a bigger torso, but Mattel thinks Sting skipped leg day. They are relevant, don't be a dick cause you didn't watch then. some of the comments lately are ridiculous, just cause you weren't a fan or alive at the time. I've noticed that a lot lately. "Younger" forum members or members who are super into WWE's current product keep trashing Mattel every time a legends/flashback is announced. Look there's a lot of people who never watch NXT or could care less about the latest indie talent, we don't go into their threads or create threads to bash Mattel for making NXT figures. We'll hear how they "shelf warm" or they go for cheap on amazon. But if you go to the store current roster figs are sitting on the shelves the same, amazon right now has a bunch of the current talents for $10 right now. People need to understand Mattel is making something for everyone and if you don't like it, don't buy it or don't click the threads. And for the last time, any figure will sell if it's distributed correctly. If there are 35 reigns or ambrose figures or 100 cenas to choose from, it makes sense you dont need them all and they could sit for a while and prices drop. Same for sheamus, ziggler, kane, taker, etc. When there is likely only gonna ever be 1 tugboat or typhoon or whatever...and it sits for a year or more and prices are 8 bucks online...that seems way worse to me and way more of a sign it was a swing and miss. |

If it was any illegally produced items, they would have been shut down by now. To my knowledge thats why the marvel and star wars are all bobble head, because thats the only license they could get. Just seems very far fetched to think anything is going on here. I always thought the bobble heads were actually something that were done by request to make them seem a little extra special. The Star Wars ones also come with stands too. I could be wrong...but im pretty sure its because another company has the license to 3.75 inch figures already, so being bobble heads differentiates it from regular figures. |

I can understand if you dont like them, but wtf are you 'suspicious' about? Its not like they are making them illegally and selling them in every major store in the ing world. Thats EXACTLY what I am suspicious about. Im not just gonna buy that Funko, a company not anywhere near the size of a Hasbro or Mattel...is just obtaining licenses in record time for every entity on the planet including some of the hardest to obtain licenses....like DC Comics and Batman or The Cowboys and NFL. Hell, the NFL has to goto court over licensing for The Cowboys due to Jerry Jones. The only thing I that I can possibly think of....they dont need the rights, as Pops are considered parodies of the intellectual property. Im not gonna pretend I know everything about licensing rights and its legalities. But I would still imagine a parody of Batman still requires some sort of licensing from DC for the use of the Batman logo and name.
