In my experience, if you're defending scalper tactics, then most likely you're a scalper as well. It’s hard to argue this, on a toy forum, full of toy collectors, all of which have trouble getting product, when someone complains about people scalping I would assume the overwhelming response would be agreement and not “pay extra baby crying about toys”

Cleaning products and sanitizers aren't even apples and oranges in the discussion of collectibles. They may as well be Oreo cookies. in his defense, some retail stores have put limits on collectors items. but i do believe that’s more because of the card/hot wheels scalpers that are(from what i’ve read, haven’t actually experienced them) complete trash human beings. i feel like it’s only fairly recently(in the grand scheme) that action figure scalpers have gotten to those levels of bad. but yea, still not comparable to the people hoarding things like masks, hand sanitizer, toilet paper, etc You guys are right in theory but the point is it’s people doing other people a disservice with little to no real monetary gain

Calling a 37 year old boomer is possibly the lamest thing I can think of. Does it make you feel like a rebel? Keeping digging in the trash while I work my “real” fake job I mean, I make 50k a year “digging in the trash” but yeah you enjoy that. For a 37 year old you’re sure getting bent out of shape about people reselling toys there bud. It’s not even about toys or bent out of shape, I just personally find it hard to condone what I consider unnecessary behavior. In essence stores are middle men who jack up prices to consumer but they have employees and overheard. A person waiting outside a store to buy all of something to make $5-10 on it is lame imo. We are having a conversation that’s all. Everyone can have whatever opinion they want

Yes it’s just toys but it’s unnecessary and not in any way profitable or productive so why punish fellow collectors is my point

Anyone defending someone for purchasing a large stock of a product to resell it for minimal profit just to ruin something for someone else isn’t worth arguing with. How would a rational person react to someone going into the supermarket, buying all the cheese and then attempting to resell it for .35 cents more. Most if not all people would mock and ridicule that so my assumption is the people who say “derp it’s just toys” or “wow can’t believe people get so mad” on a toy forum, are scalpers themselves or their mommies didn’t pay enough attention to them growing up i’m not sure if you’re implying that i was defending scalpers, but you might want to read a little more carefully. No I wasn’t at anyone in particular, just in general. Not harm meant directly

Hey for all the scalper apologists, I have a question. If it’s fine and not hurting anyone or against society norm why are major retailers implementing buying limits on products and why did ebay and Amazon ban people from price gouging cleaning products and sanitizers during early covid?

Anything you can make a profit on is not a real job. Going to gas stations and taking loose change from the take a penny cup or digging through trash for loose bottles are not “real jobs”. As isnt scalping retail stores for dolls Nothing is real boomer. If you can afford what you need doing what you do and it doesn’t actually hurt anyone else, then do it. Selling toys higher than you bought them doesn’t ruin anyone’s life. Calling a 37 year old boomer is possibly the lamest thing I can think of. Does it make you feel like a rebel? Keeping digging in the trash while I work my “real” fake job

In mid/south Ohio we have two major Flea Market shops that go and clear out stores when they stock and then up sell them. I work second to third shift essentially so it’s hard for me to hit stores when they open, so I miss out on new stuff a lot. It can suck, but at the same time I buy from them if it’s something I need. I also over pay on Ringside and second hand apps. Just the nature of the game. Not defending scalpers but understand it especially given the world how it is right now. Also doesn’t mean they don’t have “real jobs”. Literally anything where you make profit enough to pay your bills is a real job. Anything you can make a profit on is not a real job. Going to gas stations and taking loose change from the take a penny cup or digging through trash for loose bottles are not “real jobs”. As isnt scalping retail stores for dolls

i like how you think he lives in his mom’s basement because he disagreed with your death wishes on people who resell precious wrestling figures Not sure where the mom’s basement thing came from, i thought that was his own admission. It was you two clowns who decided to get your feelings hurt when i said mean things about scalpers. I didn’t intend to hurt you guys. Buying up all of something that is brand new and charging people above MSRP is what I find scummy. If you're charging a higher price for something that has been discontinued, or out of production for a while then that's different. Just my two cents. This. It def takes the fun out of something when someone purposely gets all of them to hoard or upcharge. No problem with hunting or paying a slight premium but when target gi Joe classified are being sold for $70-80 because no one can get them anywhere. That’s lame and ridiculous

I remember seeing protos and being so underwhelmed. I remember thinking they looked small. I was hell bent on keeping my jakks collection and calling it a day. I was in TRU on like 12/28 or 29 and they just put them out. I bought E1 Edge and Mvp and was instantly hooked. Slowly sold off my jakks.

The only issue I had with the Ryder figure was that I really preferred the prototype and the action figure. Also the lack of Curt Hawkins always made it feel kind of incomplete. In a perfect world we would have gotten a series consisting of Ryder, Hawkins and the Beverly Brothers. Anyway... let’s see what ZST is coming up with. LOL, Sweaty Bill said in an interview that Mattel has limited resources and lots of red tape in signing legends for figure deals, it shouldnt be wasted on obscure wrestlers and named the Beverly Brothers as an example. I like you, always have. But you’re coming off as a huge apologist for Cardona. Any grief he gets from fans and fellow collectors is usually self inflicted. I don’t know a single person who dislikes Brian Myers. That can’t be said for the other guy...

No, his character never evolved. He’s still now basically doing the same schtick he’s been doing for years. Proves his 2011 run was a fluke. The spot should have been Foundation Anvil or Eddie Guerrero etc

I have it loose. It’s a great figure. Best Akeem figure to date, and, next to Martel, one of the best of the early legends series. I am a huge Martel fan but to me the head is too small and the face is just kinda off

Well really, asking on a forum full of collectors is going to get you the response you are probably looking to get. We aren't exactly impartial here. Brilliant answer. Not being mean but if you can’t confront your girlfriend about something not important maybe you need to go to therapy/break up.
