Yeah, I mean it's better than current. And with Sheik and JYD, would be cool have more pre Hasbro era to go along with them. I hate having like one or two guys from a particular era/promotion. NWO Macho just shouldn't exist without Hall, Nash, Hogan, Syxx. Yeah, though Studd fits both mid 80s and 1989 since his look didn't change. Though if they are going to go that route, which is fine, they need a Hogan, heel Piper, face Andre, Bundy, Orton, Orndorff, Volkoff, Bulldogs, heel Hart Foundation, IC era Valentine, IC era Tito, IC era Steamboat, a Magnificent Muraco, George Steele, Ventura, heel Beefcake, a young heel Jake, a young heel Savage, early Hercules Hernandez, the Killer Bees, the US Express, King Harley Race, maybe even a Mr. T if they could get the rights. Totally agree with you on the NWO Savage, he looks completely out of place without Hollywood Hogan, Hall, Nash, and Syxx. Also, of all the legends they have made, I think NWO Savage is definitely the worst (took the spot away from Warrior) - and this hurts to say. The head just looks awful, to me it looks nothing like him. Would have much rather had a long tights Macho King over an NWO. Outback Jack, baby.

I see someone selling for $60. Nakamura is the only one I need to complete that series but I’ll wait on retail. 🤞 Thing is, he and Wyatt were the two where I was like "Ehh" on. I was going to go back and get them eventually, and now I'm kicking myself. I heard Target will be the place to go for Series 6, so I'm hoping. I'm gonna wait it out and see if I find this one on a peg. If not, I'll bite the bullet.

With the way some of today's fans are, what are the chances of Andre becoming irritated at these public events if he were here today? Fans using insider speak with him? Lol

Is this thing short-packed? It's the only figure besides Series 8 that I have to grab. But RS doesnt have it, and the third party sellers have them all going for at least $40.
Should I expect this figure to hit Target with the rest of Series 6? I sure dont want to pay 40 bucks.

I went to two Walmart's. Brickseek said one had 10 and the other one 5. Zero in both.

Nice figs! Anyone here know the best paint and sealant to use for these guys. I've tried in the past and now I have a JYD that is so sticky, he could attach to the ceiling.

Aren't Flair, Savage and Sheik all elusive? I see the common denominator. Hope Mattel does moving forward.

Man these are so cool; I really look forward to each time this thread gets updated! That jumper, although the action is my least favourite, looks like it lends itself really well for a Macho Elbow drop! And I love those hasbro Diesels - would you ever consider making one to order? (I have a manix head) My bad, this message slipped by. I'd probably be open to it when I find more time in the Spring. Right now, I'm doing a lot of in-progress figures when I'm able.

I had the same dilemma with a Dude Love Retro I'm making using the Elite figure. I want to out the shirt on and trim the length. Retro Stars on Twitter told me to cut the shirt down the seam on the side, then use another piece of flat plastic to use as a bridge to close the shirt up with glue. We'll see how it goes! Good luck! That sounds like another cool project. I don't want to re-quote all the photos above, but great customs showbiz. I think my favorite is the 95' Shawn. I always thought the Macho King body would be perfect for Shawn, but now the AJ is even better with the way his boots are done. Thank you! I started the Shawn Michaels with Virgil prototype body. Bought the Hasbro head alone on Ebay. I noticed that a bunch of people tried making the prototype, so I aimed to add a different twist to it. My thought was if Hasbro made Series 12, 13, 14, etc., what kind of HBK would we have, so I went with 1995 Royal Rumble. Seemed like it bridges that missing era between the Hasbros and Retros.

I go with submerging figure in measuring cup of water that's been heated 3-4 minutes headfirst. Keep it in there for a minute. Have an alternating cup heated in microwave. Look for area with widest gap on torso, alternate with box cutter. Go deep then carefully wedge and work along length of gap. It's a judgment call here on technique, but dont pry hard. You'll smash the plastic at the edge and it'll look like crap. Thanks, luckily I was able to accomplish what I needed without removing the arm! I figured out if I put both arms up I can get the coat over them, just like how I put my own clothes on lol. I had the same dilemma with a Dude Love Retro I'm making using the Elite figure. Sorry if I missed it elsewhere, but what's the best way to pop apart bodies on these? I just need to pop off some arms temporarily to make some changes. An update from one of the UK online stores on the time-frame for this year: So the UK is looking at: #7 due late Feb/ early March #8 due late March/ early April #9 due late May/ early June #10 due late Aug/ early Sept Guess the US will be a month or so earlier, based on what we've seen with series 7 and 8. Dude, if we're going off how long it took Series 7 to come out, we may not see Series 10 until January 2020. No lie.

So, it just common sense knowledge that we all switched to that HBK head and buried the other one in the center of the earth? Haha

What about poor Big Show? The guy's been around 25 years just about, and the best he gets is an Andre #1 hack job custom that gets posted on Ebay for $79.99.. like it's a work of art. I really want a WCW era Giant. If that's the only one we got, I'd be content with it. I'm with you on that. As you know, I make a bunch of Retro customs, but my hands are tied with Show. There just isnt a body that suits him.

Maybe we could one day get Helms, Finlay, and/or Kidman but I see zero reason Mattel would ever release Abyss or Sonjay Dutt if they signed with WWE as a trainer or backstage producer. Neither ever appeared in WWE. Why would Mattel release a figure of a TNA lifer as part of a WWE line? Obvious answer: they wouldn't. True. I would say it would also depend on how big they were at the other promotion. Like, if Sting just signed a Legands deal with WWE, but never wrestled in those 3 matches, instead painted his face for event promotions, meet and greets, and Network contributions, he'd still get those Mattel figures. Dutt and Abyss, not so much. If theres a market with your fanbase and money to be made, they'd come out.
