Dude, I don't even want the credit for it. That's how much I love it and want it to be a thing lol Forgive my ignorance, what is the backstory on this? No problem! Mattel just recently released the Flashbacks Series 3, which had Stone Cold, Ricky Steamboat, Jake Robert's and Harley Race. Well, they didnt distribute nearly as many Race figures as the others and before long no one could find him. If your "lucky" now, he could be yours on Ebay for friggin $200. All this unfolded in the last month lol

As long as LJN avoids 2 things I'll be happy.. 1. Dont short stock these new figures and Harley Race the market 2. Dont make video games (damnit) Dang, we should all totally make "Harley Race" the new term for "shortpacking" on here!! BRILLIANT Dude, I don't even want the credit for it. That's how much I love it and want it to be a thing lol

Could they do guys that WWE/Mattel can't do at this time? Like Barbarian? Bundy? Talent with trademarks used outside of WWF? I believe it is not a question wether Mattel is allowed to do them but more like WWE wamts them to do them. Nevertheless there are of course legends like RW Animal who own their names (Legion of Doom however is owned by WWE I believe). At the moment I honestly do not expect any more than a few BCE figures in vintage style. As long as LJN avoids 2 things I'll be happy.. 1. Dont short stock these new figures and Harley Race the market 2. Dont make video games (damnit)

I'm definitely interested, but after Cody Rhodes, Bucks, Jericho, Omega and the other select independent talent, who does WWE not own the rights over at this point?
I'm not poo-pooing this, trust me. I just want this line to have permission to go to the moon with all legends past and present. Would be awesome!

From the way he presents himself on here, Zack Ryder seems like a total tool. I am all for giving people their due when it's deserved, but the simple fact that Zack Ryder (or Matthew Cardona as a person I guess?) has a little bit of fame and fortune and he acts as if he's a God in the figure world. He has the means to obtain the rare and obscure figures and protos we all wish we could because of his status as a semi-active WWE Superstar. Zack, you're not a God and without your fame, you'd be in the same boat as all of us regarding your knowledge of figures. You come off as pretentious when you try to throw your knowledge around by giving little tidbits and withholding critical information. Most of us are fans of your character on TV, but we're all fans of figures which is why we're here in the first place. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and until there is concrete evidence, your status of a semi-active WWE Superstar isn't going to sell your word to everyone. I am sure this post will either be deleted or I will be reported because Zack probably can't handle getting his feelings hurt, much like the rest of the world. I am telling you how things work in the real world, not your bubble of WWE fans that bow down to your every tweet or instapost. Good day. Attacking Zack/Matthew for being a fortunate man is not necessary. Zack said it himself about Lex selling for $8,100: "The game has changed." Wrestling figure collectors should blame themselves for astronomic values... On any given day I can buy a Kenner Star Wars testshot relatively cheap, not so with a Hasbro WWF testshot. Even though I'm pretty sure worldwide there are more Kenner Star Wars collectors than Hasbro WWF collectors! Yes testshots, plastic that was meant to end up in the trashbin! Then there are 2UPs and (painted or unpainted) prototypes: oh even more valuable! Wrestling figure collectors are crazy people: especially when the figure is different, rare, not available in the U.S. or unreleased. Yes, I consider myself crazy too, sure I've never paid over $200 for one figure: but still just under $200 for one figure that 20 to 40 years ago cost $5 - $15 in a store is plain crazy! Are the Lex and Doink painted prototypes legit? They most probably are: they were painted examples to show to the WWF office. I'm also sure that the attention they raised online caused the high endprices. On a side note...how many badly painted custom Lex and Doinks are going to pop up on Ebay now? Lol

Hey, count me out on the envy thing haha. I'm anything but. I haven't done anything but given a fair opinion of what I thought of these figures while showing proper respect to the entire situation. Let's wait and see. Zack says he has a show, hold judgment. I'm anxious to see it. If I'm wrong, it's because very few had apparent information during this entire period. But I'd be wrong nonetheless. I'll admit it.
I have a gorgeous wife and 3 awesome kids...and, oh yeah...the complete Hasbro collection. In another life, Zack's existence would he fun as hell. And he seems like a cool dude. But my life is good, I wouldn't trade it for another man's. God has chosen to bless me with these things. Just an opinion on a figure, that's all.

Pics of his stick? I was just referring to the seller(s) from Japan over the past few months that have been flooding the market with particular figs, mainly green cards and English S3. I have no idea what the deal is, it all seems legit, but I have to wonder where it's all coming from. He did sell 1 or 2 Mailaway Hogans a couple months back, but only seemed to be that one or two, not dozens each like a lot of the others. I'm just wondering what else he may end up dumping, or how much more he's got of some of these figs. It sort of sucks, I had bought a Warrior #3 months ago for like 500 thinking it was a great price, and now they're selling for under 200. And green cards for 100-150 now. Sorry I meant stock, I did see a Japanese seller, selling the rarest Galoobs a few months back. I just caught that lmao.

You forgot: Kane/Pete Rose Jerry Lawler/Andy Kaufman John Cena/Kevin Federline Roddy Piper/Mr T in boxing gear Hulk Hogan/Zeus How could I forget Hogan and Zeus!? I thought of Lawler/Kaufman and Kane/Pete Rose, but in my rush of ideas, I forgot to add them to the list. Cena and Federline is a cool idea though. David Schultz & John Stossel. Endless hours of in-ring action to determine the age-old question: Is question real?

I kinda cringed when I was asked "Do you own any Hasbro prototypes?" It just reeked of "if you're not in dis bizniss, you dont know and should have no opinion" I just asked for why I was flawed, or wrong. But Zack didnt buy either one. Bet if he did, he would require some validation. Which may be why he didnt go after them...but you guys would have to ask him that. I like him and Hawkins, but not on board with their thoughts regarding these figures, until I see something behind it beside the seller's personal story. All of the reasons why these are real will be discussed on the next Major WF Pod. Can’t respond to every single person who asks me a important question that needs a lengthy answer. Oh yeah. I bought Doink. Hey, based on the point in time where we have no info and aren't told that no information with a backbone exists with these things, we form our most sensible thoughts based on what does exist to examine at that point in time. And like I've said a few times Zack, I'm fine with being wrong. I think we all want more info and I personally look forward to this episode because I'm intrigued for sure. You guys put on a great podcast and I admire what you do with vintage toys. I'm glad I'm apparently wrong about these documents, too. The Ebay seller said he had none, dont ask. Umm..yeah. But when these things go on auction and all of these revelations you are sharing have been omitted all week and even last night, you really can't blame anyone for forming such conclusions based on what little we know. I need not own a Hasbro prototype to know that. By the way, congrats and dont break any Doink fingers!

Warrior never killed anyone or did anyone any real harm outside of the ring. I don't care about a wrestler's individual views. Warrior meant everything to me as a kid. Right. The innocence of being in the dark without the internet back then. Being legit shocked to see him at Mania VIII, to digging through Wrestling Illustrated mags in 1993 and 1994 to find dirt on where he was. He wasnt around long enough for the fans to get sick of him, but often left too soon as well. I was hoping he was going to show up on July 4th to slam Yokozuna. We make things too complicated. No one is a saint, look for a wrestler to like and keep that part of you a kid. Ahh..to be young again.

So if I have some rare pieces or prototypes can I legitimise these figs just from the pics? nothing wrong with continuing to speculate until definitive proof is provided. If none can be provided then its your own choice whether to accept them as real. No one can tell you your wrong either way.. (just my opinion) And that's what I mean. Hes seen the same photos we've all seen. Zack hasnt looked over any magical declassified Hasbro documents from June 1994..but my guess is he really wants this to be REAL - without taking that financial risk himself. Because trust me, this would be right up his alley of toys he'd trip over to obtain, so I think there is something in him that doubts it too. But as a fan, I hear him. I want it to be real as well.

So, last night I had a little exchange with Ryder (or his podcast account) and I thought I brought up some pretty valid concerns because I kind of think this entire thing is...insane. I mean, I was initially excited. Then feelings changed. Felt like an overseas scam like when you buy a 1970 Super Bee or something and use a third party bank lol. I just felt it was convenient that the only two Series 12's were the repaints, the absence of documentation and being told "dont ask for any," and how these things are suddenly being "unearthed" now while Hasbros are worth a fortune. Ryder or his group told me I was wrong, but decline to give me any reason. It's my gut call.

I was going to go to this signing, but had to pass. I was able to meet Steamboat earlier in the year at the Pro Wrestling Tees store. Really cool guy I thought as well. Did he have his wife take pics with all the fans as well or was that something you requested? Can’t say I’ve ever seen that before if they weren’t a wrestler. No, it was only Ricky. The photo OP was first and he greeted us in this small photo studio tent, had a couple quick exchanges then it was over to the autograph table we went. At that table, there was another gentleman spittle by him but I think he was with the convention, maybe taking the tickets, or keeping fans orderly if that were ever needed maybe. But no, his wife wasnt there. He did mention she was a Tennessee girl though. He does go online and like Tenn Volunteers stuff these days :-)

I think Hollywood Hogan and Rodman would make a better 2-pack. And then Leno could go with DDP. We could also have: Snoop Dogg and Sasha Banks, Bob Uecker and Andre the Giant, Pamela Anderson and Diesel, Mr T and Hulk Hogan, Jon Stewart and Seth Rollins, LT and Bam Bam Bigelow, Alice Cooper and Jake the Snake, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Triple H, Bob Barker and Chris Jericho, George Clooney and Stacy Kiebler, Rob Gronkowski and Mojo Rawley, Butterbean and Bart Gunn, Mark Cuban and Sheamus/Randy Orton, Liberace and Pat Patterson, William Shatner and Jerry Lawler, Cyndi Lauper and Wendi Richter, Snooki and John Morrison, Larry the Cable Guy and Santino Marella, Big Show and Floyd Mayweather, Lemmy and Triple H, The Refrigerator William Perry and Big John Studd, Amy Schumer and Dolph Ziggler, Steven Amell and Stardust, Mike Tyson and Steve Austin/Shawn Michaels, Dr Phil and Dr Shelby, Little Richard and Johnny B. Badd, Machine Gun Kelly and John Cena/Kevin Owens, Morton Downey Jr and Roddy Piper and Donald Trump and Vince McMahon! What a shame that none have any likelihood of being made. ☹️ Right. I think it would be a great idea. I'd bet too many of these celebs would make it not worth the dive financially. And most likely the ones that are way past the height of their fame. I'd love to see it though.

I'd be up for it...but then we need a break on 1990 Warriors for a bit. I like the idea of pre-match and post-match makeup heads to swap for figures too. Doubt they'd go as far due to cost, but would be sweet. Dude, what if they ever did a Battle Pack with him and Phil Collins? Like a celebrity line of sorts? Is licensing financially possible or even worth it? Like a Royal Rumble 2001 Drew Carey and Kane, Hollywood Hogan and Jay Leno, etc. Doing a special line like that? I think Hollywood Hogan and Rodman would make a better 2-pack. Agreed. My brain was being trained to think of unathletic TV personalities after I added Drew and Phil Collins lol

Am I the only one who wants an elite Royal Rumble 1990 Warrior?.... ....alternate head with face paint smeared. Maybe with an... Ahem.... Yellow intercontinental belt? I'd be up for it...but then we need a break on 1990 Warriors for a bit. I like the idea of pre-match and post-match makeup heads to swap for figures too. Those are nice and all, but THIS is one that would be dope. Once they start tapping into the 1996 and 1998 versions, I'll be more than ready.

I always wanted to meet Ricky but never had the chance, of all the big time wrestlers I watched growing up and got to meet. I do have his autograph a friend got for me, though. I'm glad you guys have good experiences with him. I always heard good things. Also cool he turns the conversation to non-wrestling talk. From my experiences meeting wrestlers, they prefer to keep the wrestling talk with their buddies but would rather hear every day discussion from the fans, like talk about the area they are traveling or hobbies they may have. You know, I learned that early on when I started meeting these guys, that there probably isn't a wrestling story they haven't had to talk about 100 times over. However, in my own experience, Steamboat seemed more engaged when talking about how his current wife turned him into a Tennessee Vol guy, or even the Florida hurricanes.. I guess I really don't feel like talking about work when I get home lol
