A BIG NAME TO RETURN AT SURVIVOR SERIES? - Rumours are that A big name will be returning to Survivor Series, the big name is rumoured to be "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes. Dusty and WCW had big problems in October. The Scoop was that Dusty Rhodes quit in October 31 of Halloween on WCW and most likely called Vince McMahon the day after he was released. So look for a big surprise to return to the World Wrestling Federation. Dusty Rhodes returning to WWF at this time to me would be kind of weird considering his son Goldust is on the rise here in the WWF and Goldust is with Marlena his wife and to have Old Dust here would be kind of cathartic considering his son's gimmick but also at this time he and his son Goldust were estranged for the most part It would still be an interesting dynamic to have them both in the same company. If they were estranged in real life during this time, it would make sense if they had contrasting characters that rarely (if ever) interacted. |

I've come across a last-gen (360) glitch. On the selection menu for exhibition matches, if you try to select Brad Maddox as a manager, the pictures on the selection screen disappear for the opponent slot. Even if you go through with a match, the loading icon runs indefinitely, and your only option is to return to the 360 main menu screen. Any other last-gen'ers come across this?

Can't wait to see Tamara's new man. I'm thinking it could be one of two people. I guess I'll wait to find out.
1995 should be an interesting year, especially if this diary is any indication. Keep up the great job!

I wish there was a way to edit the WM 13 arena, to make it into the WM 11 one instead. Theoretically, you'd need to change the mat and the signage. Very easy, but there doesn't seem to be a template in the Create-An-Arena. Ironically, there are templates for 24 and 28...the other two Manias I've been to.

UPDATE: I have gotten these pieces framed. Including a surprise pencil sketch included with the Cathulu cell...    ________________________________________________ I wasn't sure where to put this, so if this is the wrong board, please excuse me... These are official Real Ghostbusters animation cells. I couldn't decide between two of them, so I got both. The first is from 'Janine Melnitz, Ghostbuster', which is the one episode I remember vividly from watching at age 7 (no matter how long I've had the DVDs). Plus, since the IDW Ghostbusters Get Real miniseries is basically the long lost 'B-Story' of the episode, I found it timely. DiC must've given the seller a different background with the cell, because I remember the unit in this episode having metal sculpture, instead of crags. But I checked my DVDs, out of all 'Slimer in containment unit' episodes, it was the only one where he had a simple backpack and was chased by tendrils. The second, of course, is from 'Collect Call Of Chutulu', and is of that scene where the guys (and Alice Derelith) are clutched by a Shuggoth. Due to the episode significance, and the fact it was a group shot of the guys, I couldn't pass it up. On the flip side is a simple pencil sketch of the scene.    |

Okay...
My 360 disc came from Amazon at 9:30 this morning. I was able to unlock everything the old fashioned way in the course of the day. That has to be a first. It was incredibly easy, even the Hard and Legend difficulties for the extra objectives. I only failed two missions, once each. The only thing that was close to frustrating, was having to win two other Rumbles aside from the Showcase, but I got Honky. As far as glitches, the only thing I noticed was that the final KOTR Jake cut scene is blurry. A couple omissions I found which could be attributed to last-gen: No Three-Man commentary, and no classic Rick Rude promo routine in his entrance.
Zayn, Breeze, Itami, Owens, Stunning (and Superstar) Steve Austins are my go-to guys. My first exhibition match after I unlocked everything, was Demon Balor defeating Warrior. I don't do Universe. I just assign guys titles and play. It felt good not to have to create a wrestler this year. If this is the final WWE 360 title, I'm happy!
And hey, I have my current and all time favorite tag teams in the game: Hollywood Blondes and Vaudevillians

Had to have been the first live Raw I ever went to, April, 9th 2000, in Boston. Stone Cold was heel and the week before on SmackDown, Jim Ross badmouthed his new attitude. So on this Raw, Ross appeared mostly in pre-tape segments, as Austin held him backstage and forced him to watch himself make his comments. The show was mostly backstage cuts, and few matches. Oh, and the "big surprise" Foley teased for that episode? Linda demanded a divorce from Vince.
Not the best first live Raw episode. Two highlights were...
Seeing Bryan Danielson work a dark match versus Jerry Lynn, and...
Watching a Japanese flag (left on stage by Kaientai during the syndicated tapings) catch fire thanks to Kane's pyro.

Well, my copy is coming tomorrow afternoon. So with my fiance working Halloween weekend, I can plow through as much of the Austin mode as I can. Can't wait!!

No game today. Really pissed off because I cancelled my amazon pre order to order it with shopto... And the amazon lot are getting their copies today. Typical. If it makes you feel any better, my Amazon pre-order still says 'Preparing For Shipment'. I ordered it before my birthday (in Sept.), it's set to deliver this Monday, but it still hasn't been shipped. I'm an Amazon buyer still frustrated. |

Another last gen (360) question. I was never able to get the upper hand in lockups in 2K14. I know chain-wrestling plays a factor in one of the Austin showcase chapters. How do I win a lockup exchange?

Another LAST GEN UPDATE: the ring collapsing after a heavyweights suplex off the top rope is still in & the abillity to set finishers to as many as you like I sincerely thank you for all these updates. |

If they go with an injury angle to explain Cena's time off, then the opponent should be a heel.
The opponent should be a worthwhile surprise - like a return or call up.
I believe the opponent (winner) should be a mid-carder. It gives a younger, or underutilized talent a chance to shine and prove themselves.
Now, as far as Sami...
Let's assume that Sami Zayn returns to action - and the main roster - as a surprise Rumble entrant this coming year. Whether in the match himself, or not, Owens is responsible for Zayn's elimination. This begins an IC title feud that stretches to a match at WM 32. The whole story is that Owens protests Zayn returning at all, after Owens put him out of action. He believes Zayn doesn't deserve to be on the main roster at all, much less fighting for the IC title, or having a match at WM, after only a couple months on the roster. Zayn of course, only wants revenge against his former friend for their NXT past. It could be an underdog story to a lesser extent of Bryan at WM 30. Win or lose, it could be a great program.
