I'm a little surprised that no titles changed hands. I thought for sure Doink & Hughie would cheat to steal away the tag titles. I like that the whole Mega-Powers-Dynasty feud didn't have a match though. Would've overloaded a full card. Can't wait for Survivor Series. Thank you very much for keeping up this diary. It continues to be a small joy in life for me.

Thought the Ascension as a gimmick was overrated, even in NXT. Still think so. Only plus is, I'm happy that South FL's Ryan O'Reilly finally made it to the main roster.
Paige, I didn't think she could live up to all the hype she was getting. However, I've grown to love her as a wrestler.
Loved Neville in NXT. Love him on the main roster. He even has a buddy of mine who quit watching a while ago, interested again.

Oh wow... He looks unhealthy in those recent photos. After what I read in your post, I feel sad all over again. Thank you for sharing. I shared my own story in the official thread earlier. I never thought the biggest wrestling villain of the mid-80s could be my hero, but he was.

My fiancee says, at our Walmart, there are tons of Hogans on the pegs.

Probably that time the fiancee and I went to TRU to pick out a gift for her nephew's Confirmation. I sneaked off to the WWE figure section to see what they had. I saw a Sheamus & Ultimate Warrior Battle Pack. I considered getting it. I had it in my hands. Finally, I reasoned that I wasn't a big enough Sheamus fan to justify it, for one. Two, my conscience got to me that we were here to buy for someone else. I rejoined my fiancee, and we ended up getting some sort of Lego set. I go back to my house later that night, and immediately, I'm bombarded with all sorts of posts and messages about how Ultimate Warrior had just passed away.
My fiancee tried getting me a Warrior figure for Easter, but there wasn't one to be had, after that.

Wow... Just wow. Where do I begin? Roddy Piper was the guy who hooked me into the world of pro wrestling. My first exposure to the WWF at the time, was when I was about four or five. I was born with cardiac (and other) defects, prompting a few surgeries after birth. The nurses would come in and cheer me up as often as they could, leaving me little presents now and then. Amongst these gifts, were packs of WWF Wrestling Superstars trading cards, as well as the big rubber LJN figures. I guess they were aiming for any 'boy things'. Through the cards, I would learn all about Andre, JYD, Iron Sheik, and many others. I would rattle off wrestler stats to anyone who would listen. People would often wonder why my parents would let me watch 'that stuff', when my mom would confess that I would only read the cards, and had no idea it was even something on TV. Anyway, one day, a nurse I hadn't seen up to that point came in to check on me. She remarked - "Well, I hear you like wrestling, huh? Just remember this name, and don't ever forget it: Rowdy Roddy Piper." Soon after I left the hospital, and started Kindergarten, I discovered wrestling on TV. Once I saw Roddy, that was it. He was my favorite. He wore a kilt and took no guff from anyone. So, whenever an adult would ask me what I wanted to be when I grew up, my five-year-old self would say - "A professional wrestler, just like Rowdy Roddy Piper!" It shocked my parents at the next PTA meeting...lol. The rest is history. RIP to my first wrestling hero.

A little confused here. Are the Major Brothers the Minions? When they unmask, at one point you write "...who are not followers of the Fallen Angel." Then you refer to the Minions who are "still in the ring." Just curious.

Realistically, the TV wouldn't be on SyFy, because WWE already had an exclusive deal with NBC-owned networks. Just a nit-pick.

I absolutely loved the King's Court segment on Raw. Exactly what Lawler would've done if he feuded with Bradshaw around that time.
The next In Your House should be excellent. Keep up the great work, man.

Bummer what happened to the Nitro results, but you salvaged them into a decent show. Raw is going along swimmingly as well. I can't wait to read Viewer's Choice. Keep up the great work!

After all this broke out, I contemplated walking to my Walgreens to buy the Basic Hogan they have in their toy section. Then I thought "If I'm buying it just to have it on the card, it's not a symbol of someone I'd be comfortable having in my collection."
Aside from a beat up old LJN buried in a box somewhere, my only Hogan figure is an MOC die-cast WCW Steel Slammer figure, given to me by my sister while I was in the hospital. Actually, the few Hogan items I own (figure, book, bandanna, and court transcript) were gifts from people who knew I liked wrestling.
I'm not broken up over no more Hogan figures. I saw his (now) last WWE match in person, and that's good enough for me.

"WWE informed just about every licensee and partner that they work with that all references to Hulk Hogan, all images of Hogan and all current and planned licensing projects that might involve Hulk Hogan products should be dropped immediately. I have heard that from action figures to streaming music, anything Hulk Hogan-related under WWE's umbrella has been terminated and/or in the process of being pulled down.
WWE, wisely, wants no connection to Hogan or the coverage his situation is likely about to get within the mainstream media over the next several days."

If I were WWE at this point, I would do everything I could for a hard push of Sting into the WWE Hall Of Fame this coming year. Making that, and his WM 32 match, the biggest deals possible. Essentially touting him as the only other legendary babyface hero - aside from Warrior - they (as a shared WWE/WCW history) ever had. I wouldn't put it past them.

I was at SummerSlam 2006, so they're mostly matches from then, due to lasting memories.
Mr. Perfect vs. Bret Hart (1991) Bret Hart vs. British Bulldog (1992) Ric Flair vs. Mick Foley (2006) Hulk Hogan vs. Randy Orton (2006) Sabu vs. Big Show (2006) Vince & Shane vs. DX (2006)

I don't remember who slapped who in the Brie Bella/Stephanie segment from Raw, but I fondly remember the reaction of one of the fans when it happened. I think someone here has it as their GIF. This one? That was the night, one year ago, that my girlfriend took me to this show. After it ended, she became my fiance.
