I'm being lazy and don't want to switch back to the WCWA account. the detail debate is one I feel like I'm better suited to handle as a 35 year old than a 15 year old, but what problems in life aren't. WCWA shows would take weeks, if not months, and by the end, a legitimate year for some, to complete. I would write out full blown coherent music videos (with scripting that actually translated to real world music videos and why I got *really* good at doing those for a while). I'd get extremely frustrated when a show I'd spent 6 months fine tuning would be quickly bumped to the second page by something that looked like someone wrote it while driving. That's not hyperbole. There was a guy named The Crapper who "wrote" a Wrestlecrap fed who'd do 2-3 shows a week that looked like they took all of 45 seconds to do. average show would look like this; Golga beats TL Hopper Gobblygooker beats Oscar Kurrgan beats Mosh Thrasher beats Duke Droese Paul Bearer wins battle royal except somehow that's more coherent than his shows even were, because he'd try often mispell and typo his own wrestlers names. If you can convey your story in less detail and get across the point you're trying to tell, absolutely do it. In video work, some of my masterpieces have been 60 minute pandemic shows for IWTV and I'll also advocate for a 90 minute wrestling show over some of the 7 hour indie shows I get trapped at today. the same for writing. if you can engage the audience and get across the stories you're telling, do it in however little or as much detail as possible. but if you're skimping on story elements, don't be surprised if your reader isn't engaged, or is left asking for way more than you've provided Do you remember GOTH DUDE? I think I have that photo somewhere.

Interesting. I wonder if everyone who does fantasy booking go into it with a certain mindset or do they just do whatever? Fantasy booking nuzlockes essentially. Fantasy booking was very different than it is today (and it's sadly barely alive). Some of my favorites: - Tennessee's CWF is the standard-bearer for what a fantasy booking federation should be. He was incredibly detailed, creative, and his concept had great appeal to me: mashing together the WWF/WCW/ECW rosters from the Attitude Era. It's what inspired me to give WCW/nWo: Reimagined a go (and I would love to finish that series one day) and partially inspired my upcoming fig fed
- Obo's WCWA is one we've touched on. Great attention to detail, a commitment to utilizing talent who were not apart of the WWE, and just a super great mind for booking.
- Denn's WWF was his take on late 1990s WWF and, again, tremendous attention to detail.
We had very strict standards on here (especially when the Board was split between Fantasy Booking and Text Fed) and, to be honest, I think it ended up driving away certain people. That + the decline of popularity in message boards = the end of this Board being very active. We've tried everything we can think of - some ideas were not approved of - but some of us are still clinging on.

if Necro wasn't a political nutjob, he'd probably be there too. If I were to try to shape WCWA now with the same mentality of indie stars of 06ish that hadn't made it elsewhere, I couldn't. almost everyone I used or had plans for are now either in WWE, AEW, or have been. Even guys that most people never saw in WWE like Jimmy Jacobs and Allison Danger. Ironically by WCWA canon, Danger got released from WWE while pregnant, which was the storyline reason she stopped wrestling in WCWA I 100% credit you for branching out to non-WWE wrestling. I remember buying PWG: Sells Out at Suncoast all those years ago.

WCWA was so great. It was essentially AEW long before it even existed. Hell, just look at your signature: 3 of the 4 have an association with AEW. It's what genuinely introduced me to a wrestling world outside of the WWE. Very fond memories of reading that series.

Months late here WCWA Online but hope we can re-connect sometime. I just wanted to address the current state of the Board, what I'm currently up to, and plans for the future: - I am planning on conducting a pic fed based on the late 1990s that will bare the ICW name.
- I still would love to tell the story I had in mind for WCW/nWo: Reimagined. In an ideal world, I can do both.
- My issue is my severe lack of time.
I hope everyone else is doing well. Please feel free to shoot me DMs.
I’ve been having issues with my mental health for the past decade and unfortunately those issues finally succeeded in taking wrestling away from me so nothing new is gonna from me for a long time if ever Please feel free to DM me at anytime, brother.

I feel like we need that Funk in the new BCW line. Couldn't agree more. I need Funk for ICW, so much so that I'm thinking of doing this custom myself (well...my fiancé will because I am an artistic failure in both skill and imagination lol)

Will series 2 offer Glacier, Jeff Jarrett, and Mike Chioda? Any chance of other names being revealed soon?
If they're doing a Jeff Jarrett, could they also do Attitude Era figures of guys like The Hardys/Edge & Christian/Billy Gunn/Chris Jericho/Dustin Rhodes (perhaps not as Goldust but maybe just as old school Dustin Rhodes), Paul Wight (would love a proper looking Big Show), Ric Flair, and Sting or is Double J an exception?
I'd also love rookie/indy versions of Brian Danielson, Christopher Daniels, Jay Lethal, etc.

I’ve heard Ringside’s stands work well with BCA figures. They probably take up a lot less space than the old Jakks ones, too. Yep, just make sure you get the Mattel ones. Early WIP Ah I was hoping you'd do a Funk custom! Can't wait to see the end result!

Hey all,
I am working a pic fed based in the late 90s wherein I only use figures from the BCA/Toybiz/OSFTM line and I was curious if there's lines from other places where the figures would fit in with these figures; specifically, I'm looking for figures of celebrities. I saw someone recommend some ICP figures that fit in well with the Toybiz line but was curious if any others existed.
Thanks!

I recently purchased the most recent Mattel Legends Triple H and the Backlash Series 3 HHH and decided to add the Legends t-shirt + an old Jakks water bottle to that figure: Shirt's a little big and you cannot move his ponytail in the back but it looks very solid IMO. Good idea! That Triple H is one example of Jakks getting something right before it was too late. Terrific fig that's actually a lot tanner in person

The question was recently posed on The Major Wrestling Figure Podcast "If Mattel brought back BCAs & continued the old line with contracted talent, who would you pick?". Who would you choose? I would pick the following although the ''contracted'' status of some might be questionable: Booker T Brock Lesnar Kurt Angle Eddie Guerrero Paul Heyman Rey Mysterio Rikishi APA Too Cool (Would be nice for Brian (RIP) to get an updated figure.) I'll try to keep this as realistic as possible: Acolytes/APA - I would love a BCA version of the recent Mattel Legends series. You could also re-release them w/their APA-era gear. Attitude Era women - Fabulous Moolah, Lita, Mae Young, Molly Holly, Stacy Kiebler, Torri Wilson, Trish Stratus Big Boss Man - I'd love a Big Bubba look Billy Kidman - Give me a Raven's Flock-era look here British Bulldog - 1999 WWF look Curt Hennig - What a terrific addition to this line he would be! Re-release in multiple colored singlets, gimme him in a suit too Dudley Boyz - I'd do the early cammo look w/removable sunglasses Eddie Guerrero - Give me the single Eddie as well as the Latino Heat era Eddy Fit Finlay - Gimme that 1996(ish) look Jake Roberts - 1996 KOTR look Kane - Gimme that look where the black flames have those clear, mesh streaks in the flames Ken Shamrock - Just an updated look tbh. Proper MMA gloves, better head sculpt, robe, etc. Kurt Angle - Would love a less bulkier BCA, gimme some cool singlets and his medals Lex Luger - Late 90s look of black tights, hair in a ponytail or loose. Mick Foley - Commissioner Foley, a Cactus with a red flannel, maybe an upgraded Dude Love Paul Heyman - Late 90s look. Scruffy bear, ball cap, coat, etc Rey Mysterio - COUNTLESS re-releases here. Just give me a 1996-1998(ish) look Rikishi - Too Cool era w/wrap Scott Steiner - I would LOVE a non-sunglasses head sculpt and there's plenty of eras to choose from (Steiner Bros, Steiner first singles run, Steiner late WCW-era run) Shane Helms - I would love a Three Count/"Sugar" Shane Helms and, of course, a 2001-look Hurricane Shawn Michaels - Gimme multiple looks without stupid chaps covering the tights Ted DiBiase - Give me an nWo era look I'd LOVE if they filled in the gaps with guys like Too Much/Too Cool, Mideon, Funaki; would've loved AEW contracted guys like The Hardys, Edge & Christian (2000 look), Taz, The Big Show, Chris Jericho, etc; and, finally, would love updated sculpts for guys like Vader, Viscera, Yokozuna, etc.

Hey guys, I'm going to begin filming a new pic fed (hopefully in the very immediate future) after spending about a year building up a roster (it will be comprised of WWF BCA, WCW Toybiz, and ECW OFSTM) and I was just wondering if anyone has any very easy fix up ideas for the BCA line, something that might be so small but makes the figure either feel more complete or just helps it pop a bit. Thanks! I like borrowing belts and other accessories from Mattel and the later Jakks years to use with my BCA figures. Here are some examples: Most anything that fits with a six-inch figure scale should work with this line. Mattel soft goods fit better with the smaller BCA bodies. The coat with Flash came from the Jakks CS9 Godfather. Thanks for this and a GREAT idea for FF!

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills (or possibly dreamt this) but I could've sworn I saw a story posted on the Major Wrestling Figure Podcast IG that showed a prototype of Mikey Whipwreck and it looked to be in the style of a ECW OFSTM figure. Am I just dreaming this or is this for real? That was for the Rush Collectibles line, which has since been cancelled. I’d love a BCW Mikey, though. Ah that's such a bummer! I'd love Mikey too in either BCA or OSFTM form.

Guys!! Hey everybody, apologies for my absence for the last 8 months or so. Unfortunately, I broke up with my fiancé back in October and had to find somewhere to live so it’s been a busy and difficult period for me emotionally as well as being busy with work and essentially starting my life again. However that aside, I am now living in my own flat, settled in nicely and l’m feeling pretty good. I will be making a return some point this year hopefully within the next couple of months. I may do something brand new I’m just waiting for an idea. PWU was great and had a blast with it but too much time has passed for me to really continue where I was and I’d find it difficult to get back into. Hope everyone on the board is good and I’ll be back soon with something new! Hey dcw1. I'm sorry to hear about your difficulty period but glad to hear you're getting settled. Hope all is well.
