What a horrible point. Russo further proves he is an idiot. Him of all people should understand that not everyone is going to make the big leagues. Not every minor league baseball player makes it pro. Not every college football player goes to the NFL. That doesn't mean WWE should give the young talent all the tools they need to try. I mean serious Russo, use your head before you talk. Problem with Russo is he think real life is a work. Everything to him is an angle. He has no grasp on reality. Very good points. Playing devil's advocate, my only counter to that is assuming he was right when he said that there are some talents that they never intend to call up to the main roster then why have them there at all? If that was the intention when signing them but things don't work out, that's one thing. But why even bother when you're just go to leave then in developmental? They could fill that spot with someone they intend to use. This is of course assuming that Mr. Russo is telling the truth. I'm certainly not saying I agree. Just like when I used to post Mark Madden's musings, I just like to get a conversation started. The point is you just dont know. I cannot sit here at my computer screen and say that every talent NXT has will make it to the main roster. Some things pan out and some things dont. Trips never pin pointed anybody out and said Blake and Murphy may not have what it takes to make it to the roster. He simply said not everybody is going to make it, which is true. Russo is absolutely a ing idiot.

I'd like to see WWE at least try and use Cesaro in the Main Event. People argue he doesnt have 'it' to be a main eventer but you'll never know until you give it a try. After Ambrose, put Cesaro/Rollins into a program and watch the audience lose their sh*t during the matches those two pull out of each other.

This is exactly how I view Punk nowadays. He tried so hard to be "the guy" in a company that he didnt fit in at the time and now can do nothing but bash the industry. I do appreciate everything he had done in the WWE and I can see why he would be bitter towards them, as they really never put him at the very top spot. The Hogan/Austin/Rock/Cena spot. But come on, look at all the things they DID use him in. I wont even name them because he was given that much. That Pipe Bomb alone is enough for Punk to sit back and say hey, maybe they did see me as a Main Event player. But now disrespecting the business, calling it fake or whatever he said, he spits in the faces and on the graves of all the guys who came before he did. The guys like Droz, Owen Hart, Eddie Guerrero, Curt Hennig, etc. You thought Punk was one of those guys, who was a wrestlers kind of guy. Who loved this business for what it was. Now he cant even talk about pro wrestling without going on a tantrum. I truly believe after his career is officially over, CM Punk goes down as one of the Best and Worst things in Pro Wrestling's history. I hope this all blows over one day. CM Punk is one of my all time favorites and I'm still unsatisfied with how he went out. While I wouldnt consider him an all time favorite of mine, I can definitely say I loved what he did his last few years in the company. Guy was legit must watch. Whether it was promos or in ring. Which is why Im so annoyed of how he is presenting Pro Wrestling in his interviews today. After all you did, now its beneath you? Come on...

Punk is the most hypocritical dude I've ever seen in the wrestling business. Never have I seen a guy be so for the business and claim to want to be the guy that "changed" the place for the better. Then 3 years later says wrestling is fake and he hates it and wants nothing to do with it ever again. I'm not knocking the dude for trying to do something different and join the UFC. But it doesn't seem like he took a humble approach. He genuinely seems egotistical and thinks that his success in WWE is going to translate into UFC. He's in for a rude awakening. I sort of understand where you are coming from. I think the problems stem from: - Not keeping guys away from each other during feuds - Not treating matches as an actual competition. Wrestlers don't always need a reason to fight or hate each other. Just simple working your way up the ranks should be good enough.- Commentators not putting over the wrestlers as competitors, and putting over the WWE as a whole while the match is background noise. - Poor match pacing, selling, and in ring psychology If two guys are going to fight at the PPV, I don't want them to be in the ring against each other twice, and tagging together or against each other twice in the build up for it. Build the tension up through promos, and them proving their ability by fighting other competitors. That way when they do lock up in the ring, it is exciting, and there is anticipation for it. This would make sense if there was actually consistency. Neville fighting Cena, Rollins, Barrett and now Bo Dallas just does nothing for him. Now he is swimming in mid card, doing nothing. Hell he wasnt even in the IC title Elimination Chamber for whatever reason. Im not saying you have to be designated to a certain title or division but if you have guys working matches in order to be the new #1 Contender for a title it makes things more interesting. There is no reason Ryback doesnt work every single guy who was in that Elimination Chamber at some point over the next few weeks/months.

I'll go the opposite route of current comments and most likely future comments. Those who say "watch something else" or "take a break" are just giving the easy answer. If you love pro wrestling you wont just take a break or watch something different.
WWE is not pro wrestling anymore, it is Sports Entertainment. Some of the best matches over the years had you invested in everything about it. Matches like HBK/Flair, HBK/Undertaker, Cena/Punk, Bryan/Authority, and so on. It's the WWE's job to make you care about the matches and they are doing a terrible job as of late. Today we get what, maybe one or two matches actually built up with storyline progression?
RAW is usually filled up with Authority Vs _____ opening and closing segments, recaps from earlier in the night, John Cena, Roman Reigns, a stupid divas match and then absolute random match fillers. Oh we're short a segment? Okay lets put on Stardust Vs R-Truth for 7 minutes, intros included. You guys really think WWE penciled that match in as a first priority ?
There is a fresh crop of talent on the roster today and a good amount not being used in anything other than enhancement/filler matches. Im talking Wyatt, Harper, Rowan, Johnny Curtis, Matadores, Zack Ryder, Ascension, Swagger, Slater, Lucha Dragons, "King" Barrett, Miz, and on. What is Neville doing since debuting? In big time matches against Rollins and Cena, now having random matches against Barrett and Bo Dallas.
What is making NXT good is that in a 1 hour program, there is no time for BS segments. Every minute on NXT is precious time. WWE doesnt put any effort in storylines other than Authority, Cena and Reigns it feels like. Years ago, You didnt just wrestle for the sake of wrestling. You settled your issues in a wrestling match, and the most heated ones wound up in gimmick/stipulation matches. You didnt wrestle in a Hell in a Cell match because it was October or a TLC match because it was December.
Somehow I turned this all into a huge rant and went completely a different course. I do apologize but it does stem from the OP. I absolutely agree with you about too many meaningless matches. Hence why Bray Wyatt was MUST see like 2 years ago and now hes nothing more than meh..
