SNW 2016: Looking Ahead
Riley Shamrock: The ‘Young Gun’ had a blockbuster year, he entered 2015 as FUSE Champion then at SNW’s premier event he captured the SNW World Championship. Now the 3rd generation wrestler enters 2016 with a big target on his back. He’s already fought off challenges from the likes of former champion Mike Bockwinkel, former friend Jack Powers and former trainer Alex Shelley. But there are plenty of challengers, how long will Riley keep the belt or can he take the belt into 2017?
Revolution X: SNW’s longest running stable had a great end to the year and will look to continue that into 2016. Jordan Devine got a pinfall over the World Champion (and former stable-mate) and as a result will get the first World title match of the year. But what about Chris Hammers? The leader of the group hasn’t held singles gold in seven years? Can he force himself back into the title scene?
Fatality Squad: Can anyone stop these two? No seriously. Ever since winning the belts at Clash of the Duos 2014 they’ve been untouchable. They were the first ever team to walk into CoD as champions and leave as champions, they have the longest title reign in SNW history and the most defences. It’s hard to see who will top them. But SNW has set them a new task, an unprecedented third CoD win.
Mike Bockwinkel: The former SNW World Champion has been sharing his views on his title loss on YouTube. Bock has been slightly out of character, looking like this title loss may have hit him hard. Bock even pondered whether it was time to hang up the boots. Most of the fans expect it to be apart of an elaborate plan. He didn’t get any sympathy off his former tag team partner Nick Jacobs. Jacobs compared it to when Bock got Nick kicked out of SNW. Bock replied, seemingly now back to his old self and called Nick ‘Marty Jannety’. It seems like the fire between these two partners have just been relit.
Dave Demento: The tough talking hard hitter made 2015 his breakthrough year. It all came about in Scotland where he went on a foul mouthed tirade against a fan. Since then he’s battled former FUSE Champions and even SNW World Champions. He enters 2015 after just winning the Battle of Japan (last time it was held it was won by Ace Bennett, which launched his singles career). But he has found a rival in Jet Jaguar. Jaguar, fresh from a year learning in Japan, will return to SNW in 2016 and will look to beat the foul mouthed hard hitter.
Mike Hogan: The London born lad will continue SNW’s relationship with NJPW by joining the company on loan for an initial period of 8 months. Youngster Noah Lee will be joining him on tour. Hogan has taken his fellow Londoner under his wing recently so this is no surprise. Apparently Pro Wrestling NOAH were upset that SNW chose to partner with NJPW on their recent tour and as a result have broken up the promotion relationship. Previously SNW had a good partnership with both NOAH and NJPW. SNW still has many good relationships with other companies aside from that of NJPW, most notably Nick Bockwinkel Productions in particular TCW.
Women’s Division: Beast Kong is running through women on the SNW roster, it’s hard to see who will stop her. Luckily for SNW they have a small bunch of women training at the SNW academy. Drew Parkland and Jacob Ryler provide the main training. Expect to see a few new faces in the women’s division this year. The pick of the bunch is 20 year old Taliah Winters who is expected to debut early on in the year.
Schedule: SNW has released their show schedule for 2016 (although this in only provisional, so can be changed at any time by SNW). The most notable points are: the Clash of the Duos has been moved forward to the start of the year to give the Fatality Squad a challenge, Riot Act has changed back to roman numerals and for the first time will be held in Canada, the UK will host both EIGHT and the Magnificent 10, the previously announced Champions Carnival which will be a tournament for the reigning World Champion will be on iPPV and will either be 2 or 3 nights, and the year will close, like in 2015, with a tour but it is currently unknown where.
Provisional SNW 2016 Schedule January- One Night in India (iPPV) March- Clash of the Duos 2016 (iPPV) (3 Nights) April- 2 BtB qualifiers May- 1 BtB qualifier and tiebreaker June- Be the Best 2016 (iPPV) Nutter Center in Dayton, OH July- Riot Act IX (iPPV) Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto, Canada August- Champions Carnival 2016 (iPPV) (2/3 Nights) September- Magnificent 10, O2 ABC in Glasgow, Scotland October- EIGHT (Anniversary Show) (iPPV) Alexandra Palace in London, England November- Unannounced Tour December- Unannounced Tour (Continued)

SNW 2015: A Year in Review
SNW kicked off 2015 with a continuation of their ‘One Night’ series, this time in Amsterdam as SNW presented ‘One Night in Holland’. SNW’s first show in Holland was huge success with Wasp, Riley Shamrock and the Fatality Squad all successfully defending their titles. In the main event, SNW held their first ever Klauteren. Mike Bockwinkel was lucky to walk away with the belt after Mike Hogan looked to become a two-time champion. The Klauteren also started a feud between Chris Hammers and Ace Bennett which would continue thoughout the first half of the year.
SNW stayed in Europe by travelling over to the United Kingdom for the Be the Best qualifiers and iPPV. Hogan proved his worth for title contention beating both Baby J and Cameron Stone to secure a title match against Bockwinkel in his hometown. Meanwhile four marched through to the semi-finals: FUSE Champ Riley Shamrock, Jack Powers, Safu and Kevin Hart. But the big news in qualifying was a riotus night in Scotland where Dave Demento became a viral star, verbally attacking a member of the audience.
At Be the Best iPPV, Riley and Hart advanced to the final where Riley won becoming the 2015 Be the Best winner while defending the FUSE Championship all along the way. In other action: Wasp fought to a draw with Beast Kong, the Squad retained again and Bockwinkel managed to retain against Hogan only after a surprise distraction by ISW’s Hunter Kellen.
It was nearly half way through the year but SNW still hadn’t hosted a show in America, this trend continued a little closer to home in Canada. Bockwinkel, Shamrock and the Squad all retained as SNW marched towards Riot Act 8. At SNW’s premier event: Wasp lost her title to Beast Kong in the first ever Women’s Falls Count Anywhere bout, the Squad notched up another defence against the Calgary Sons and Dave Demento retired Drew Parkland by booting him in the head. In the main events: RevX triumphed over Ace Bennett’s rag-tag team in Warfare, Kellen won in the ‘One Year in the Making’ inter-promotional bout over Mike Hogan and Riley Shamrock made history becoming the first man to hold the SNW World Championship and the SNW FUSE Championship at the same time.
SNW then brought back another staple, the Magnificent 10. With Jack Powers coming out on top. Meanwhile Riley Shamrock earnt his first defence and the Squad continued their reign. At SNW’s Anniversary show: Shamrock lost his FUSE title to Daniel Sinn but later went on to retain the SNW World title against Jack Powers. Kong and the Squad got defences and Demento met his match as he was beaten by Mike Hogan.
At SNW’s three night tag team blockbuster show, the Fatality Squad became the first team ever to enter Clash of the Duos as champions and leave as champions. They took on all challengers including teams from TCW and ISW and in the finals they beat Team Bennett. The SNW World Champion was also busy as he promised to put his title on the line every night, he also walked out as champion.
SNW then ended off their international year in Japan, making it three continents and five countries visited in one year. Over the five shows, many talents stood out, none more-so than RevX. Jordan Devine pinned the World Champion and as a result will receive a future title match. Meanwhile, Riley did defend on SNW’s final show against NJPW’s Shinsuke Nakamura. Mike Bockwinkel didn’t fair better as he was defeated by Kazuchika Okada. Mockingbird started a feud with Team Bennett as they traded wins. Jet Jaguar and Dave Demento became rivals, they met in six-man tags with Demento’s team always getting the win. Jaguar finally found the winning formula bringing in masked friends from NJPW. They also met in the Battle for Japan final where Demento came out on top to be crowned winner.

Synergy Issue #13 Christmas Special
1) Parkland Bros vs. Cain Jackal and Masked Marvel: With Cain’s usual partner out injured Cain recruited Masked Marvel. Marvel didn’t quite understand the rules of tag matches so Cain fell to the popular Parklands with a KFC.
The Parkland’s celebrated by putting on Santa hats and dancing around ringside. After they left Jackal confronted Marvel. Cain went to spear Marvel but missed allowing Marvel to lock in the Bearhug and leave Cain hurting on the floor.
2) Kourtney Love vs. Rose Parkland: Not a great women’s match, it is clear however, that Rose has improved and Love led her through an acceptable match here. Ending with Love hitting the Lovesault.
3) Cody Rejero and Baz Hepburn vs. Beast and Jugg: Good tag team action as the popular team known as ‘Your Mom’ in SNW really took it to the big bruisers. Baz played the face in peril, leading to the hit tag. Cody then cleaned house, hitting Jugg with the Pepsi Cutter to seal the win.
Cody and Baz celebrated post match, until Baz went under the ring and got a present for Cody. Cody opened it up and it was a Peter Capaldi Doctor Who Jacket. Cody loved his jacket and ran about the ring in it, then found another present in the coat jacket, a sonic screwdriver! Cody hugged Baz and went under the ring for Baz’s present. Baz opened it and it was a Cody T-shirt. Baz laughed and put it on. The two then celebrated with their presents.
4) Noah Lee vs. ‘El Hijo Nature Boy’ Pedro Flair vs. Baby J Jamerson vs. Joseph Stone: Four way action between El Hijo and the three greener members of the roster. But they put a good match together here which I would guess would be down to the road agent. After some good action El Hijo hit the Spanish Fly then locked in the Figure Four for a whoooing win.
Intermission. The Parkland siblings (Duke, Axel and Rose) came out in festive costumes (Santa, a snowman and Mrs. Claus) to give out presents. Then Cody, Baz and Kourtney showed up in matching costumes. They looked like they would face off until Cody shouted ‘we can’t fight, it’s Christmas’. And they all gave out candy canes and danced.
5) New Age Lady Killers vs. Mockingbird: SNW’s biggest tag team ever came together to deal with Mockingbird and they’re new cocky attitude. There was some great action in this one, even if it was toned down for the fans. Mockingird were the preverbal coal in the stocking as they beat the Killers fair and square with a roll-up.
Synergy Champion, Dave Demento marched out. He built up a big announcement. Saying this was something that all the ‘little fans’ need to hear. He was just about to tell everyone that you-know-who doesn’t exist when Jacob Ryler came out and told him to stop yapping and start tapping.
6) SYN: Dave Demento vs Jacob Ryler: Ryler usually plays heel in Synergy anyone can play anything. Demento was in control and had the fans hating him which made it easy for Ryler to have the crowd in the palm of his hands for the comeback. Lots of good action led to the finish, a superplex leading to a missed springboard kick from Ryler which allowed Demento to hit the spinning backfist into a running punt kick.
The Christmas show couldn't end with a "Bah Humbug" so The Parkland family, Daniel Sinn, Cody, Baz and Love all came out to chase him off. They then celebrated with the crowd handing out presents.

SNW in Japan
SNW completed their tour of Japan with two big shows: the first, the coveted Battle for Japan tournament; the second, was held in the iconic Korakuen Hall. Here’s the results.
How the Battle for Japan works: There will be five first round matches, all three way bouts. The winners of each match automatically go through to the next round (the Semi-finals). Then the competitors that didn’t take the fall or advance will go into an elimination Wildcard bout. The sole winner of which will be the final competitor through to the Semi’s. There will be three Semi-final bouts with the winners advancing to a three way final, where the winner of which will be crowned champion.
Show 4- Battle for Japan - Osksa - Bodymaker Colosseum #2 – 400+ Attendance 1) Jet Jaguar beat Dave Demento and Duke Parkland in a three way [11:11] when Jaguar used the TTM on Parkland. 2) Alex Shelley [NJPW] beat Elliot Reid and Baby J Jamerson in a three way [7:40] when Shelley used the Sliced Bread No.2 on Jamerson. 3) Jack Joseph beat Joseph Stone and Kushida [NJPW] in a three way [6:24] when Joseph used the Pele on Stone. 4) Carson Clark beat Dean Caufield and El Hijo de Angel Custodio in a three way [5:50] when Clark used the Swan Dive DDT on El Hijo. 5) Kota Ibushi [NJPW] beat Travis Cantrell and Matt Joseph in a three way [7:22] when Kota used the Golden Star Press on Cantrell. 6) WILDCARD: Dave Demento beat Elliot Reid, Kushida [NJPW], Dean Caufield and Matt Joseph in an elimination match [14:01] last eliminating Kushida with the F***tard. 7) SEMI: Jet Jaguar beat Alex Shelley [NJPW] [12:33] with the TTM. 8) SEMI: Kota Ibushi [NJPW] beat Carson Clark [11:20] with the 450 Splash. 9) SEMI: Dave Demento beat Jack Joseph [9:15] with the F***tard. 10) Revolution X (Hammers, Devine and Safu) beat Riley Shamrock and Team Bennett (Bennett and Spade) [18:40] when Hammers hit the lariat on Bennett after distraction from Mockingbird. 11) FINAL: Dave Demento beat Jet Jaguar and Kota Ibushi [NJPW] in a three way to win the Battle of Japan 2015 when he hit the F***tard on Ibushi.
RECAP: It was a stellar day in Osksa as athletes from SNW and NJPW battled it out to be crowned the Battle for Japan. Dave Demento triumphed to become the 2015 Battle of Japan winner. Demento did so even though he lost his first match. However, in that first match, he was neither pinned or submitted. This allowed him to enter into the Wildcard, win it and reach the semi-final. He won a bout against the former two time FUSE Champ, Jack Joseph to reach the final, where he met rival Jet Jaguar. Demento managed to triumph, hitting Kota Ibushi with the running punt kick to seal the trophy. In non-tournament action RevX beat the teaming of SNW World Champion and Team Bennett. But Ace and Matt’s recent feud with Mockingbird came back to haunt them as the Birds distracted Ace which led to Hammers hitting the Lariat for the finish.
Show 5 - Tokyo, Korakuen Hall - 900 Attendance 1) Jet Jaguar, Jushin "Thunder" Liger [NJPW] and Tiger Mask [NJPW] beat Dave Demento, Cain Jackal and Jason Williams [12:18] when Jaguar hit the TTM on Demento. 2) Team Bennett (Ace Bennett and Matt Spade) beat Mockingbird (Dean Caufield and Elliot Reid) [16:46] when Ace hit the Syracuse Drop on Reid. 3) FUSE: Daniel Sinn beat Nick Jacobs, Cody Rejero and Carson Clark in a four way to retain [9:06] with the Original Sinn on Clark. 4) Revolution X (Safu and LyNN) beat Joseph Brothers (Jack and Matt Joseph), Parkland Bros (Duke Parkland, Axel Parkland) and Time Splitters (Alex Shelley and Kushida) [NJPW] in a four way [13:52] when Safu hit the Samoan Drop. 5) Revolution X (Chris Hammers and Jordan Devine) beat Kevin Hart and Mike Hogan [15:40] when Hammers hit the Last Minute Orders on Hart. 6) Kazuchika Okada [NJPW] beat Mike Bockwinkel [21:24] with the Rainmaker. 7) DUOS: Fatality Squad (Steven Kagemann and Bret Thomas) beat AirDevils (Tom Gerard and Travis Cantrell) to retain [23:02] with the Ball and Chain on Gerard. 8) SNW: Riley Shamrock beat Shinsuke Nakamura [NJPW] to retain [27:51] with the Irish Welcoming.
RECAP: SNW’s big show in the iconic Korakuen Hall didn’t disappoint. It opened with Jaguar bringing in some masked friends from NJPW to finally beat the newly crowned Battle of Japan winner and his team. Then Team Bennett got their win back from Mockingbird in a show-stealing match. Daniel Sinn retained in a four way. Safu and LyNN then continued a great tour for RevX winning a four way tag bout which included former SNW trainer Alex Shelley. Hammers and Devine then followed that up with another RevX win, this time over the volatile team of Hart and Hogan. Former two time SNW World Champion Mike Bockwinkel was put down for the three count by NJPW’s Kazuchika Okada. The dominant SNW Duos Champs, the Fatality Squad put down the AirDevils once again for another defence in their massive reign. Then in the final bout, SNW World Champion, Riley Shamrock had to contend with the hard hitting Shinsuke Nakamura. The man from NJPW pushed the champion to the limit but in the end, the ‘Young Gun’ was too hot to handle. Riley put the challenger down with the Irish Welcoming.

SNW continued their year of international dominance putting on three shows in Japan performing to over 700 people in their first three (of five) events in Japan. Here’s the talking points:
The Rising Revolution: Revolution X have performed very strong in Japan which have included three wins over the SNW World Champion, Riley Shamrock. On the first night Jordan Devine pinned the champ and as a result will receive a future World Title Bout. Also, Safu has looked particularly monstrous.
Team Bennett: Ace Bennett has been busy so far on tour, in both singles and tag action. He stole the show on night 2 as he battled to a 30 minute time limit draw with his longtime rival Kevin Hart. Then on night 3, shockingly, Mockingbird beat Ace and his partner Spade. But Mockingbird have been using some ‘questionable tactics’ recently. Ace and Matt have asked for a rematch.
No Stopping Them: The two time Clash of the Duos Winners and current Duos Champions, the Fatality Squad look like they are unbeatable. Their pop-up Doomsday Device finisher has put down all in their wake. Who will stop them?
Demento vs. Jaguar: These two young stars have battled each other in six-man tags over three nights with Demento’s team coming out on top all three times. Jaguar keeps changing his team in order to find the winning combination to beat Demento. Will this continue into the rest of the tour?
Kong the Destroyer: The Women’s Champion, Beast Kong has looked strong all tour. Winning two tag matches and defending the belt on night 3 against her two biggest rivals. What's in store for the champ?
Here’s the card for the next two shows, which includes talent from New Japan Pro Wrestling and the line-up for the Battle for Japan.

Found these while surfing the web. Thought it was worth a post.
This is from PROGRESS Wrestling. It's a full show. I haven't watched all of it out yet but if you only watch one match, watch Zack Sabre Jr vs. Prince Devitt at approx 1'33'22. If that isn't enough to tempt you, it's the match where Devitt dresses as the Joker.
Again, another Zack Sabre Jr match, this time from IPW:UK against his tag partner Marty Scurll.
As a casual UK wrestling fan over the last few years, it seems like there's lots of promotions and wrestlers doing good work. Sabre is obviously a standout and now wrestling in America and Japan. Mark Andrews looks like a talent, maybe that's just me being biased because he's Welsh. But he seems like a good highflyer, think he competed in Chikara too. Who else is there to check out?
So feel free to post other UK Indy matches. I felt it was better suited here than the UK board.

Alt:Pro Presents: Gold Fever
1) QUARTER: Patrick R. Everson vs. Ron Crockett: Unlike SNW tournaments, Alt:Pro just went straight into the action. These two rivals had a very hot opener, they faced off on the first show with Everson getting the win. Crockett worked over the arm of Everson and that led to the finish. The injured arm neutralized the ‘Ultimate Jock’s’ powergame allowing Crockett to lock in the armbar for the submission win. Crockett advances to the Semi’s.
2) QUARTER: Vincent Fury vs. Phenom: Before the match Alexander Kuleshov attacked Phenom. Hitting him with the pumphandle slam, kitchen sink kick and the AK47. The Russian then rolled Phenom into the ring giving Fury a simple win. Fury advances to the Semi’s.
3) Twisted Assassin vs. Nate Ryan and Tobias Black: At the last show, the boys from Detroit took on Assassin in singles action but fell easily. This time they were teaming up but still didn’t fare well against the masked killer. Assassin was in complete control hitting Ryan and Black with all the usual moves such as the Old School and the Yakuza kick. Assassin finished them both off in a quick time with the Assassin’s Fury.
4) QUARTER: Johnny Arsenic vs. Matt: Back to the tournament action and we had a good match but it was damaged by the length, it was kept short for the rest of the show. The match was pretty back and forth but out of nowhere Matt hit the Dominator to much applause from the crowd. Matt advances to the Semi’s.
5) QUARTER: Falcon vs. AJ Matthews: It’s hard to see why Alt:Pro continually book Falcon (formerly Derek or DJ), he’s sloppy in the ring and has no charisma. Luckily this was kept short and AJ got cheered well, no-more-so than when he put Falcon away with the Eastern Execution.
6) Dane Warron, Jake Swindell and Pablo ‘Speedy’ Gonzalez vs. Vincent Valintino, Antonio Benitez and DJ Hughes: These six-men didn’t have long but they certainly put on a show. The three youngsters have only wrestled on a few shows but they all look like the future of Alt:Pro. They proved it here against the more established wrestlers. Warron was the star but ‘Speedy’ hit the move of the match with a 450 to the floor. Fan favourite Warron got his first win with the Deathstrike which is a Rolling Cutter. Big celebrations by the youngsters post match.
Christopher Kennedy Jones came out and called out Kris Havok in a pretty basic Mike Bockwinkel rip off promo. Havok attacked him from behind, channelling some Dean Ambrose spirit. They looked like they would do a big brawl but CKJ escaped.
7) SEMI: Ron Crockett vs. AJ Matthews: The first semi-final pitted the submission specialist against the fans favourite. Crockett tried to follow the same blue print as the Quarters by working over the arm. AJ had it scouted and evaded it every time. AJ hit the Eastern Execution for the win. AJ advances to the final.
8) SEMI: Vincent Fury vs. Matt: This was a real barn burner, Matt came out looking for a fight and Fury stood and fought with him. Fury then backed down, knowing he couldn’t handle the brawl with Matt. Fury slowed down the pace but Matt battled back. Then Fury’s tag partner, the man Matt eliminated in the first round, Johnny Arsenic showed up, making the distraction and allowing Fury the win with the Fury Strike. Fury advances to the final.
9) Blaze Brothers vs. Arthur Williams and Rory Wiseman: These two teams faced off on the first show with the Blaze brothers getting the win. But since the first event, the Brits Williams and Wiseman have continued to team to improve their teamwork. It definitely worked as they went move-for-move with the brothers. This was the best match on the card to this point, minus the opener. It looked like the Blaze’s would take it with their T-Bone / Corkscrew Legdrop but Williams broke up the T-Bone forcing him into the corner and crotching Maxx on the top rope. Wiseman dealt with Maxx while Arthur hit the Excalibur for the win.
10) FINAL: Vincent Fury vs. AJ Matthews: The story of this match was that Fury has had little to do all night (minus the early fight with Matt) and so was fresher than AJ. Fury wore down AJ at first, locking him up in submissions. The two fought to the floor where AJ went for a powerbomb but Fury reversed into a back body drop. AJ began a comeback but that is when Johnny Arsenic ran out. He tried to get involved but was sent to the back. This allowed AJ to hit the Eastern Execution but Fury kicked out. The match wore on and Fury exposed a turnbuckle, then he used it and then hit the Fury Strike. But AJ kicked out! The two traded shots until AJ stunned Fury with a strike and hit a second Eastern Execution for the win. AJ Matthews is the first ever Alt:Pro Heavyweight Champion.

Epic show Ace, looking forward to this. Nice little opener, although I like a hot opener. Jamersons winning is good and sets them up for a future title shot. Might have gone for Star but Shane winning keeps the AoA strong. Good three way, not surprised at bane losing he's had a great run. Can see him going to main event. Makes AoA strong too. Mathews the one with the T has always looked good so him winning is nice. Wonder where he'll go from here. Bit surprised at the SST winning, wonder how long they got on top, maybe a AoA team will come after them now they hold the other two titles. Great brawl and although the AoA lost it sets up the next challenger for the belt. Great main event, I didn't expect Hazard to win but good to see them have a top match. Nice shock afterwards. I guess this is the end of !nter in AoA. A little feud between him and Lukas would be fun. Hope that doesn't write of Hazard, maybe a weak or two out. I expected to see the Japanese trio return but glad you went for something different. I like how your PPV's always end with a shock (so far). Keep it up.

So my friend got me the 9th Doctors jacket for my birthday. Pure awesomeness. Ha, going to have Rejero rocking it in SNW. It's been a week since I saw the last episode, so I can't remember the specifics about it. I was disappointed by it and had many questions. And that kid was annoying. The next ep looks interesting.

It didn't use to, did it? I remember doing a career where I had money left over and it just rolled over. Thought it was 14 but maybe it was 13.

Having more problems with Career mode after RVP-Gate.
I finished the first season and got the England job. Got to the next season and the first message I got was my transfer budget of 38 mil. That along with the money from selling Rvp last season should buy me Bale and a top CDM.
It turns out 38 mil is it. My money from last season has been reset. Gutting. 38 mil not enough for Bale. Will have to use the unlockable transfer boost now. Annoying cos it takes away from the realism. Also tried resetting it and lost the England job in the process. Aghhh.
