Hmm. I was hoping for an NXT UK-based Originals to get the likes of WALTER, Danny Burch, Piper Niven included. But I'm interested in finding out what those other packs entail.
But that 'Empire of Tomorrow' sounds very hopeful for filling in gaps.

2K are always really weird with entrance motion priorities. Very surprising for them to mocap a champion motion for Drew McIntyre, given that he's not held a singles title on the main roster since his first run, and he hasn't held the NXT title in nearly 2 years. Not that I'm complaining mind, I tend to give a World title to McIntyre in Universe, so that helps me. I just find it a bit odd.
I personally think the series has always been lacking in champion entrance motions. I've been trying to avoid watching gameplay (while reading info), so it's possible there may be new motions I've not read about, but of the roster, I think it's overdue for them to make champion motions for the likes of Sasha Banks and Alexa Bliss. I'm sure there's more on the roster who I think need champion motions, but they're the most pertinent to me. Especially Banks, given how many times she's been champion in the past and how significantly different her entrance is as opposed to without a title (same basic motions, but raising the title and making it the focus instead of simply having the title around her waist; that's the distinction for when an entrance needs a champion alternative imo). And given how the Four Horsewomen are the focus of this years game, I expected them to finally make it right. Ah well, here's to hoping for next year (yet again).
Still, I'm really happy with the fact that Kairi Sane, Tommaso Ciampa, Drew McInytre, Becky Lynch, Kyle O'Riley have all got brand new champion entrances. They don't seem to add that many on a yearly basis, so I'm glad they are doing so. Personally I think anyone who does anything slightly different with their entrance while holding a title should have a champion entrance motion added (mostly so we don't get that horrible clipping issue, and because champion motions look cool). Should add significant variation.
I'm very confused with the complete lack of Boss 'n' Hug Connection stuff, given that they were a big deal during the early part of the game's production, and they're both part of the focus of the game. No Boss 'n' Hug Connection entrance, no tag team finisher. I expected those to both be in. Hopefully it'll be part of a patch like Ziggler & McIntyre's entrance last year.
Honestly, despite disappointments with various aspects of the game, I'm genuinely really excited for the game's release. The games are always enjoyable, and almost always improve year-on-year (2K14-2K15 was the only time I can think of where the quality decreased significantly). Just like 2K19 was a significant improvement over 2K18, I'm expecting 2K20 to be an improvement over 2K19. And even if it's practically exactly the same gameplay-wise, at least there's a bunch of new motions of superstars to enjoy playing as.

The problem with these public sayings, is that at least in the beginning, it is somewhat of a squeaky wheel gets the grease. The Revival, ask for their release, get awarded the tag team titles. Luke Harper, asks for release, gets put in a program with Rowan. Sasha Banks, complains, sits out for awhile, gets put into a championship program with Becky Lynch.Lio Rush, complains, asks for his release, gets handed the cruiserweight title. WWE doesn't want to release people for fear they will go make AEW money. So, at least in the beginning, people get rewarded for complaining so they will stop complaining. Whats funny is now Lio Rush is tweeting that Mike basically needs to stick it out. When Lio is one of the ones that complained, and his punishment was the cruiserweight title. You do know that the Sasha Banks story in particular was proven to be completely false, and her absence was due to a sharp decline in her mental health, right? Likewise as far as I know, The Revival and Lio Rush stories were never confirmed either. I wouldn't believe everything you read on dirtsheets if I were you.

No entrances for Showcase mode again really sucks. I just really don't understand why they disable them.

Usually I don't bother changing superstar overalls, but this year I'm definitely going to have to.

Recently finished Uncharted 4. Fantastic game, will definitely have to buy the previous 3 game collection at some point.
Having finished that, decided to give the Last of Us another go. I tried this game a couple of years ago, and absolutely hated it. Could not understand why it was so acclaimed. However this time around, despite frustration on getting stuck early on at the same exact point as last time, I stuck with it. And now I'm really enjoying it, though I am still dying a lot, despite being on Easy difficulty. Don't know why Easy difficulty isn't actually easy. Either way, I'm glad I kept at it.

I've never understood the viewpoint of people who dismiss the idea of two separate brands because WWE is one company. It's a scripted environment, the whole product is based on being a work of fiction. If you can get behind supernatural characters like the Fiend and the Undertaker, but two brands within the same company trying to compete with each other is too much to believe, then I really don't know what to tell you.
Personally I think brand splits are absolutely the way to go. They've simply got far too large a roster to share across both shows. Makes far more sense to have each show with their separate roster and championships. More opportunities, and makes each show unique.

I'm really loving this new menu!
Apparently the embargo lifts on Monday at 3PM BST, so that's certainly something to look forward to.

The roster reveal is finally up:
New superstars:
Jaxson Ryker Molly Holly
Seems like a relatively small list with startling omissions, so hopefully they just forgot to reveal everyone. Honestly I thought the video was painful to watch. Whoever these people are, I just found them obnoxious. Really don't know why 2K didn't just do it themselves.

Noticed in a quick YouTube search that multiple YouTubers have released videos today stating that they'll be playing WWE 2K20 tomorrow, so I assume we'll get a big explosion of content from now on.

Honestly, this late into production, there really is no excuse for not showing in-game footage for everyone on the roster.
As long as Dave Mastiff, WALTER, Piper Niven, and Xia Brookside are included, that's really all I need for NXT UK, now that we've already got Trent Seven, Toni Storm & Rhea Ripley confirmed. Although I wouldn't turn my nose up at Gallus, Jordan Devlin, Kay Lee Ray or Zack Gibson.

DenkOps interviewed two WWE 2K20 developers.
Interesting points to me:
- The reason behind the secrecy behind this years game is that they're too busy to upload content. (Personally I don't understand this. Surely with a big company like 2K, they should have a whole team of people to market the game? Even if not, it's not like it's one single developer responsible for creating and marketing the game. Unless there's something I'm missing, I don't see how this is a reason.) - GM Mode is definitely on the list of things to eventually bring back, but it all depends on if it'll fit into what they want to do each year. And they never want to bring something back exactly how it was, they want to improve it. Female MyCareer is something highly requested for years, and they've delivered. So they're proving that they do listen to feedback. - The Yukes split happened because they felt it was time to take control and do it themselves. - They had to hire a lot of people and quickly teach them about the game, and are amazed how quickly they managed to do it. - The Wyatt Compound in 2K19 was something that they felt fell flat from concept to creation. The Hell Coliseum as seen in the trailers is something that delivered perfectly as they conceptualised. - In terms of core gameplay, the controls are slightly different. The reversal button has been moved from the trigger button to the Y/Triangle button. The reasoning behind this is that reversals require quick button pressing, and they realised with previous games that people were missing reversals because the trigger was too slow to pull. This control change should result in much more accurate results. - The MyCareer mode spans multiple years. - They're really pleased with this years superstar voice over performances. - They never felt they could achieve what they really wanted with THQ and Yukes. - They want to make it clear to their customers what direction they want to head in. One small example of this is bringing back online lobbies.

Personally, I'm quite disappointed with Adam Cole's entrance. The lights don't go out at the beginning of his entrance, the "Adam Cole Bay-Bay" motions look really stiff and wooden, and the crowd doesn't audibly shout "BOOM!".
Onto more positive news, Part 2 of the website roster reveal is now up. The page won't load for me at the moment (what is up with their website this year, seriously?).
But from Twitter, I can see that Mia Yim and Matt Riddle are included.
Edit: Now that it's loaded, no other new inclusions, all just returning superstars. However, one interesting note is that Trish Stratus' render is in her return return gear. I know that superstars' in-ring attires aren't always the attire shown on the render, but could this be the year we get a current Trish model? I think that would be a nice change.

The MyCareer looks absolutely incredible. Last year was the first time the mode had ever been good. And it looks like this years is going to blow 2K19's out of the water. If anyone missed 2K's in-depth breakdown on their website, here are some very interesting statistics: - 18 chapters - Approximately 100 total matches - Over 2,700 lines of dialogue - Over 900 lines of new commentary unique to MyCAREER matches and cutscenes - Over 270 cutscenes - Around 20 hours of total play-through time - 34 career goals on Red and Tre’s List - 1 bionic arm Further details at: wwe.2k.com/news/wwe-2k20-mycareer/So from the sounds of it, MyCareer is where they put most of their focus this year.

2K revealed a bunch more of the roster on their website. wwe.2k.com/roster/Keith Lee, Rhea Ripley, Mark Andrews are all new additions. I seem to remember Mark Henry being removed from 2K19? If I'm remembering correctly, then he's back for 2K20.

HAHAHAHA, I still just can't help but laugh at how horrendous Hell In The Cell was. Potentially the most BS ending to any match/PPV ever. Fan outrage just shows. I just find it hilarious if I'm going to be honest.
But from what little I watched of the rest of the show (women's matches only), the rest wasn't too bad. I really wanted Sasha to win the title, I think Becky has had a good long reign, but I thought it was time to refresh. I'm not a fan of super long title reigns, unless there's a turn halfway through to freshen things up (CM Punk's WWE title reign is the perfect example). And obviously, there's simply no way Becky turning heel could work anytime soon - if ever. But the match made up for the result. Really good match, with a ton of really creative spots. AND THE WOMEN FINALLY BROKE A TABLE!! Seriously, that meteora through the table spot looked really good. The biggest positive I see out of this PPV is people giving Becky and Sasha the credit they deserve - which is great to see, because both of them are just fantastic wrestlers, and deserve the recognition. My only complaint with the match itself was the ending. Sasha was clearly fully capable of grabbing a chair and whacking Becky with it to break the hold; the chair was literally within her grasp!! So the ending just looked dumb to me. I don't know why, but it seems whenever Sasha taps out, it's always in the most frustrating way possible (e.g. tapping out with literally three seconds on the clock at Roadblock).
I just really wonder where Becky goes from here in terms of challengers, but I guess the draft will sort that out.
Kabuki Warriors VS Bliss/Cross was really weird. Title match with zero build, Kabuki Warriors win. Kabuki Warriors wrestling as heels without a heel turn was really weird. They REALLY need a brand new tag team theme, their theme mashup sounds awful. Asuka using Poison Mist was pretty cool. Happy with new champs, but this match really deserved build-up instead of being randomly made a couple of hours before showtime.
Charlotte VS Bayley was a good match. Expected Charlotte to win, wanted her to win, so happy with her winning. Bayley throwing a tantrum after was a bit weird, but hopefully now she becomes a fully-fledged heel. Would be a good character arc there.
The Fiend VS Seth Rollins, I don't think I even need to say anything about it. Been summed up pretty well right now all over social media. But depending on how you look at it, it's either hilariously bad, or so bad it makes you angry. I'm far more on the finding humour from it side.

If it is indeed going to be a "BIG week", then I'm looking forward to finally getting some in-depth info. Obviously a roster reveal seems to be the big want. Perhaps the reason they've been so tight-lipped on the roster is because they wanted to get the finished build of the game before showing gameplay of everyone on the roster? Seems to be the only logical reason, apart from the fact that 2K are just horrendous at promoting the WWE 2K series.

Well, if I ever needed justification for why I don't pay attention to anything involving Brock Lesnar, no matter who else is involved, there it is. You would have thought that WWE would really try to make their product good, now with AEW stealing fan attention, and obviously wanting to keep their FOX deal. But instead they pull the same old crap. Literally no fan wants Brock Lesnar as champion. Shows just how out of touch Vince McMahon is with his fanbase. And to treat Kofi like that is an absolute joke. I've not been the biggest fan of Kofi as a World Champion (would have been great in 2010, but try as I might, I just can't see him as a singles star in 2019). But even I can recognise what an absolute pile of piss it was to job him out in a single move. Shame on WWE!
Becky/Rock's verbal and physical beatdown on Corbin was fantastic, The Four Horsewomen tag match, the Seth/Fiend segments, and KO winning the ladder match to fire Shane was all really good stuff; those are the clips I watched.
I really really like the new stage though. Looks fantastic. They've finally fixed all their presentation issues this week (well, almost, still don't like that new RAW stage).
