Letting everything settle in, this is probably one of the more underwhelming SDCCs in some time as far as wrestling stuff goes.
MNW line is nice, as are Albano and sultan.
No steiners is a huge miss.
No updated Miz, no OC, no imperium, no Viking raiders, no uncle howdy, no LWO members.
Somewhat mild SDCC exclusive (it’s nice, just a bit outside the wrestling audience)
Macho man loose overshadows most everything and the fact no mention is annoying.
I’ll give mattel credit where it’s due, there is good stuff coming certainly. But lots of things left to be seen that seemed like givens for a comic con. It’s unbelievable that we are STILL dealing with Gargano boot ordeal 🙄
But by god we got a Nicholas figure….. yay 🫠🙃

Unless they are planning more reveals tomorrow and Saturday, slightly underwhelming.
Some good stuff don’t get me wrong, but lots of main roster talent hat I thought we would be seeing figures of like Imperium and Lumis, new elite Kross (yes I know there was a basic 🥴), stark.
Happy with sultan, executioner, rock family three pack, foley three pack, hogan three pack, and Steiner.
Glad to see more superstars, Doink especially!
Ultimates a bit underwhelming but am pleased with Yoko and pitch black bray.
But the loss of Macho has really bummed me out. Love his figures and was most excited for this ultimate (I begged for it when they showed off the WM7 Warrior ultimate)
Really do hope they get his deal figured out soon and the figure comes out

Question for the group: do all Elites have easily removable heads? All these reveals have my brain spinning with possible part swapping for display purposes. All of the more recent elites do. Swappable hands and heads started around the early 60s series, but several of those early series don’t have the swappable heads. I want to say around series 80 maybe that the heads all began to be removable. |

Hope they fix the SS Shawn tights to the accurate brown
No machos shown all but confirms that he isn’t available anymore sadly
Bischoff heads don’t look as good as their greyscale prototypes did
RA era Scott Steiner looks great
I’m convinced that there are some collectors who will never be happy with Bret scans 🙄 new ones looks great I think
Basic upgrade is great! Makes me want a few actually!
The new “going green” elite packaging is the worst packaging yet. I know it’s part of the going green initiative but still, it’s not great.

I mean, it still doesn’t fix the preset ankles and the bicep swivel. 14 points being head, hands (2), elbows(2), arms (2), waist, legs (2), knees (2), and boot/shin attachment (2). Only difference is legs can go to the outside now as opposed to just forward and backwards.
And improvement yes, but I really want the bicep swivel back.
