The sales have been a shambles this year. Over cutting some stuff so it sells out, and now undercutting other stuff.
It use to be consistently good, and my order would be in the 500-600 dollar region. there is no value in doing a 300 dollar order to England on stuff thats sold here anyway. What with the Walmart exclusives shambles, I reckon my collection is now missing about 50 figures from the last year. It's no longer a fun line to collect.

The “acceptable” price point for Ultimate Edition has now been set at £7.99. If Smyths get series 3 in at normal price, people will be wary in case it turns up in the bargain shops in a few weeks. I doubt they’ll still be stocking them by series 4 or 5. Even if the line survives in the US, it’s dead in the UK now. Thats is a massive error from Home bargains. Had they put them at 12.99, 70 odd% off, they would have flown out the door. My Smyths still has 8 Brets. Waiting for that discount now.

This is the worst RSC sale I can remember in 9 years of Mattel. Usually my order is between 500-750 bucks. I'm struggling to get past 300 bucks, and that is ordering for other people too. 300 bucks is not worth it, once I add in 110 buck delivery, probably customs, and slip my pal a few quid.

I love this thread. It's the one where every year the community comes together and tells RSC what they DONT need to put on sale....

I ordered 5 Warriors. 4 were perfect packages, but that's because I collected in store. It came in a bag, not a box. 1 of those had loose pieces, so I've opened that one for now. Another for my Warrior collection. 2 are spoken for, will try to sell the damaged pack one, it's more convenient than returning. Also had stickers all over, but they cam off. Thanks for that bud, think I'll pass then. Unfortunate, but I'll keep checking my local one in the hopes of finding one. Do what I did mate. Order a few. I'm sure out of 5 you will get a good one. Return the rest.

Hate to be the one to say it.....but.....no you shouldn't. 16.99 +24.99 shipping = 41.98 41.98 / roughly 1.275 = 33 33 X 0.2 = 8.25 £8.25 +8 = 16.25 tax. Ringside don't declare shipping on the form though. Unless it's a recent thing they've started doing. I don't know, I send them to the US as I order in Bulk. What I'm saying is, technically, it shouldn't be free, so don't be surprised if a charge comes, view it as a bonus if it skips through.

I just got the black and white Macho Man basic, the one that we all thought had never been seen here. Smyths had the black and yellow variant a few months back. Cool... where was it from? Oh yeah sorry, HAHAHA Home bargains.

The show in general has been a let down. Spend 30 minutes cramming in the origins, and 7 minutes glossing over the rest. Same format for all. However, I get that its supposed to be about the toys from 30+ years ago.

Mine has been up for sale for 3 months, so it can't be that hard to get hold of.

After about 100 attempts to educate on this in this very thread, as this point, I've gonna say, it's quicker to search it. It's 20% of the total, plus £8 admin. maske2g I was listening! I've just had to pay a £20 customs charge myself. Is it possible I could get the money back, with one of them gofundme pages? 🤔🤔🤔 I love it! Hope is not lost!

At this point, I'm waiting for discounts on everything before pulling a trigger. 3 years ago, I said this would happen, and it's irreversable. It's now bad in the US too. Most Elites are heavily reduced, so they a are releasing more and more as exclusives to try to bring some demand. All it's doing is killing the appetite of collectors. Most will go for the rare figure, and then they can't affford to pick up whole sets.
The RSC black friday sale will be a monster this year.

We should probably move the last couple of pages of this thread into a separate sticky called “Why Smyths don’t get as many figures in as they used to.” I'm sure you meant to say "Last couple of years" :-)

So I'm thinking of making my first ever order from Ringside. RSC Brian Kendrick,RSC Hardy Boyz and RSC KOTR Shane McMahon. $73 for figures and $23 for delivery. From experience, anybody here think there'll be much of an import charge on top of that? Much appreciated guys! Thanks.
Fixed the calculator.
Expect your tax to be 26.25 ish.
Total cost 102 Quid.
