Kudos to you sir if you can pull it off. I would highly recommend you go to your local toy provider and buy a Mattel or two and start practicing your molds before requesting people to share their parts with you. It's quite the ambitious project. I believe there is a lot of value in this venture and I have a ton of ideas for how to move forward with this. However since it is being suggested that I prove my molding abilities before requesting people mail me items on loan I am either going to go grab a Legends two pack or something like that to play with. This will allow me to crack them open and give them a go. Once I have my first molds and replacement parts I will post an official thread with the me process and a list of parts needed to be cataloged.

^ Have you ever actually made a mold? It's not easy and it's not cheap. Not to mention the molds will break down over time. I just don't think people are going to jump at the idea of sending some dude who only signed up just 2 months ago figures in the mail with no guarantee of getting them back. That's totally fine and I can understand the hesitancy. I have never created molds for figures but I have created molds for things like buildings for Warhammer 40k set ups, mostly bricks. So yes I have done some molding. There won’t be any risk to the expense of the Figure community expect helping centralize a person to get any part from. As for sending a “new guy” a figure through the mail, don’t send me the whole figure. Take a head or some other body part 1 by 1 and send it my way. From there I will mold it and catalog the part. Then I would send you back your piece and starting building the foundation to a largely beneficial part catalog for the users of this form. My long term goal would not only be to have all Mattel part cataloged for Basic and Elite but also having the chance to reach out to some of the people on this board that have exceled at molding heads for people like Hogan, Flair, Shelly, Sabin and other characters that will never see the light of day in a Mattel package. Thus giving the creators of the near authentic sculptures the chance to reproduce multiple copies of that figure for sale and or the use of that head between other people on the board. I would also come up with agreements with those people who supply a custom part to have molded so that I don’t necessary give those parts away to anyone other than them. Most of this can be discussed at other time but it is just an idea I am trying to see if users around here would support? One last thing for all the Legend line lovers out there, wouldn’t it be great to have the chance to order parts for a custom Legend if Mattel ends up cancelling the line? This would give everyone the chance to have almost any character they want.

So I have recently looked into the process of making custom mold for different things and thought about the idea of creating molds for all the figures that are out there so people can create customs.
I guess my question is would anyone be willing or interested in sending different parts for figures to me to make the molds and then I would mail you a few at a discounted rate and then I would start an inventory and like a part number system to mail out. I imagine that once I have the mold and can produce several of each this would help cut down on part costs for the custom mod makers and also allow people to produce things faster since you would be able to just order the parts you need specifically for each figure you would like to build... Just wondering to get some input from you guys. I know I will have to invest some cash upfront to get this going since I would have to ship the original parts back on my own dime and also get all the supplies for the mold making and what not. Let me know if anyone is interested. I am a very handy person and can get this done, the only thing is I don't want to start cracking open my sons collection of Mattel figures and invest if there isn't a need for this product.

Walgreens in Wilton NY doesn't have any, and neither does the one on Route 146 in Clifton Park...Any info from around these parts would be great.

I wouldn't be suprised if they replaced the Legends line with a Superstars line and started bundling a Legend with a current superstar to help leverage sales across both. I would also think because of this they would end up doing 6 superstars again 3 current and 3 legends. This gives you the best of both worlds and allows you to also cut back from 4 to 3 legends a series. I could also see them eliminating the elites series and just combining them with this also making it so they only have the Flexforce, Rumblers, Basic, and Superstar 2 packs.

sorry to ask this and it may be stupid byt what are the TLC figures? Pay Per View Series 8 is based off of the Tables Ladders and Chairs (TLC) Pay Per View. That's what those figures are. The TLC figures are PPV Series 8 based off of the TLC PPV. and you call yourself a collector.. JK Said i started collecting these, more specifically with my son so he can play with them in the arena and ring I built. (i play too... But yeah thanks for the clearification since I wasn't sure if it was a special series. Quick question not to high jack or anything but could you just tell me how long between RS release is when you see them in stores like Walmart normally?

I have been around for a few months now and was just wondering if anyone here works out deals to grab this guy #1 for a guy on the board and that guy can grab a guy that you can't get or that is common and swap them through a trade or sell it to them with the shipping cost?

Loving the ring but is the mat solid or does it have some bounce to it. It is one piece with no spring. I do have custon between the canvas and the wood frame to keep from hitting a solid surface.

I think purchasing a full scale ring is worth it... how much would you sell a full scale for? I would have to figure out a solid pricing but somewhere around 55-65 i would think. could be a little more little less but that's because I would only be building 1 at a time, if i knew I had to build several I could by the supplies in larger quantities to lower the price.

Man, I must say this looks awesome! I would like to start doing and/or making one of my own but I have no kind of building skill BUT I might give it a shot and pay for a good result lol. I would place an order once this is complete and awesome The problem with selling the arena is that it would cost tons to ship. I have completed a full scale ring and painted the lower section. I will update with pictures later tonight. I may be willing to sell rings if there is enough interest. Also I don't know if I mentioned this before but I also picked up some PVC pipe the other day that will once completed act as a structure that will allow me to have money in the bank/ladder matches with the item hanging over the center of the ring.
