Got Hall of Fame set 1 Stone Cold Steve Austin in the post today. Great figure really glad I pulled the trigger on it.

Cheers for the input guys.
I've only ever seen them in packaging but not to compare against each other, and i'm after a Batista in that attire.
Knew they looked very similar but was sure they must be variants rather than exact re-releases.

Quick question for those who may have them.
Is the Batista figure that came in the WM XXVI 2 pack (with John Cena) the exact same figure as the one that is in the WM XXX fantasy battle 2 pack (with Brock Lesnar)??
If not what are the differences between them.

Here are some comparison pics of Big Boss Man E14 is on the left and Network Spotlight figure on the right    The differences are minor. Larger Big Boss Man on the front pocket of the Network fig. Sheriff Dept badges on both sleeves of E14 and only 1 sleeve of Network fig. Arrow sleeve design is reversed on both figs. The molds etc both appear to be same. |

Ive just orderee RSC Nash plus the NXT and TLC ring skirts.
Came to about £55 inc postage, fingers crossed no customs charges when it arrives

I dont buy either of my 2 kids easter eggs as they get more than enough from grandparents and aunties/uncles so I get them a gift instead.
My little boy got elite Finn Balor today as his easter treat, and I treated myself to 123 Kid.

Went to Leeds Kirkstall Smyths today and picked up 123 Kid plus Honky Tonk Man and Iron Sheik basics for £2 each.
They had plenty of HTM and Sheik too but no other figs from that set

I loved wrestling as a kid and had a ton of Hasbros and also a WCW ring (with red steel cage) but I think I gave them away to a younger cousin when I got a bit older. I dipped in and out of wrestling and started to collect WWF/WWE dvds in my late teens and picked up a couple of Jakks figures to display on my dvd shelves. About 4/5 years ago we were going on holiday and I wanted a few toys for my little boy to keep him busy on the plane and at the hotel so I came across a few Mattels at TRU, picked up the Randy Orton/Edge 2-pack, a basic Kofi, basic HHH and E7 Cena. My son was hooked on wrestling and the figures so I kept buying for him. A few years ago TRU had the offer on where if you spent £25-£30 or something you got a free RTWM Rock figure, we ended up with a second free Rock so I put it on my dvd shelf. It was head and shoulders above the Jakks I had so they got given to my son and that Rock figure got me personally hooked on Mattels. Not looked back since.  |

I have the original Bossman but not the new one. .what's the difference between them? I don't care about collector's value, but I do like to see stuff like Taker and Bossman, where slight changes make an old figure new again. It wouldn't break my heart if Bill took another shot at E12 Kane w/ red left shoulder peg(WM31 Elite doesn't count even though it was good) and Wrestlemania 12 HBK. I thought Boss Man was a straight re-release too but there are some minor changes. No ball and chain, also he now only has one badge on his sleeve, and inverted shoulder design. Big Boss Man name on shirt pocket is larger too. Minor changes but a slight variation on his first elite. Not enough of a change for me to drop £24.99 on it personally. The next Boss Man I want will be in black SWAT gear |

I don't mind re-releases, there are more Mattel lines than ever before so repainted/re-released figures are to be expected.
It also gives newer collectors, or collectors who struggle to find them at retail another chance to pick up great figures. Just because I managed to pick up Elite 14 Big Boss Man and King Booker at retail back in the day i'm not going to begrudge anyone who missed out from picking up them first time round the opportunity to get their hands on the latest re-releases of them. The more people that pick up these figures and buy Mattels means that Mattel and WWE will keep churning out more awesome figures for years to come that we can all enjoy.
My one bug bear comes from the fact that, and I'll use King Booker and Big Boss Man as examples, the original releases were in the regular elite series. The re-releases of these figures come with less accessories (no ball and chain for BBM and no sceptre for Booker) and only very minimal difference in attire yet they are now placed in more expensive line ups, the Hall of Fame and Network Spotlight sets. So we are being charged more and getting less in return than their original elite figures.
I'm just glad I already have them and have no need to buy them. It will save me a lot of money, it would cost me around £50 to buy both of these at retail in the UK, think that equates to about $70 for 2 figures, no thankyou.

The figures themselves as far as repaints go are not bad. In fact the Edge figure is great.
Booker T looks good, and it is a good re-release for those who missed out on E14 King Booker. My issue is that I already have E14 King Booker and paid £14.99 for it at retail when it came out. If I want this figure it is going to cost me £20.99 as the Hall of Fame line of figures are more expensive (not sure if this is the same in the US?) - this is where my issue is. It is a more expensive re-release of a previous elite that comes with less accessories (no sceptre unless it is added later) so do gold trunks make the figure worth £6 more. No they don't in my opinion.
There is nothing really new in this set, It would have made more sense to me for them to have included someone new like Koko B Ware in this set as he is rumored to be in an upcoming elite line up, why not put him in the HoF set rather than Steele
I don't want to see the HoF line fail, in fact the 3 sets before this were pretty stellar, I think this set just underwhelms in comparison.
