Just received this from a guy on ebay, was a little unsure at first because it was described as a factory error but it was loose :S got it in the post and i'm so happy with it, i was kind of ready to see a re paint but i've had a really close look and it looks spot on and genuine, now obviously i can't say for certain but i'm pretty sure it's genuine! i know the picture won't be that great to see the detail and convince anyone it's not a repaint but in person it looks fantastic, no signs of a custom picasaweb.google.co.uk/hasbrocollector/HasbroLooseCollection#5255574324250224818

I'm unsure, because the red logo can rub of with your thumb. Best MOC, but it has something about it. Nice find

Probably not an error; it rubs off quite easily...

I agree with Ruby and Kev... it can be removed quite easily and sometimes rubs off by playing as well. When loose, there's no way you could be certain that it's genuine

....the oldest trick in the book is to use paint stripper to remove paint from hasbros, eg- hogan no red knee pads, no moustache sgt and akeem and no print on shirt hogan. although i dont buy any errors, if i did it would have to be moc.

A few years back, I bought a 3rd edition loose Hogan w/o writing on his shirt. It turned out to be one where the paint was rubbed off. But as to: Please check your facts before spouting off about things you did not own. I owned the Slaughter and Akeem errors and they were indeed legitimate factory errors.

I think you misread what he said... He's well aware those errors exist, just saying that those errors are easily faked to make quick cash.

Let me apologize as "spouting off" was a bit harsh. I could have phrased it differently. Sorry about that. However, the examples you used were figures that were widely known and shown on this site that were previously part of my collection. Not sure what other way I was to take that my figures were not legit ? I have never seen another error or even "fake" Slaughter or Akeem out there. If you had said maybe a Bret w/o his heart(s) or Piper w/o his shirt logo, then okay. Now I hope you can see why I was ticked off.
