Big rumor flying around is that The Duel II is currently filming. The cast:
Brittini Sherrod - Real World Hollywood Kimberly Alexander - Real World Hollywood Nick Brown - Real World Hollywood Dunbar Flinn - Real World Sydney Issac Stout - Real World Sydney Shauvon Torres - Real World Sydney Brooke Labarbera - Real World Denver Davis Mallory - Real World Denver Jenn Grijalva - Real World Denver Paula Meronek - Real World Key West Landon Lueck - Real World Philadelphia Brad Fiorenza - Real World San Diego Robin Hibbard - Real World San Diego Adam King - Real World Paris CT - Real World Paris Aneessa Ferreira - Real World Chicago Ruthie Alcaide - Real World Hawaii Mark Long - Road Rules 1 Katie Doyle - Road Rules The Quest Rachel Robinson - Road Rules Campus Crawl Ryan Kehoe - Road Rules Viewer’s Revenge Derek McCray - Road Rules Viewer’s Revenge Tori Hall - Road Rules Viewer’s Revenge Diem Brown - Fresh Meat Eric Banks - Fresh Meat Evan Starkman - Fresh Meat This list was attained by those notifying the MM Agency that they will not be available for appearances as they will be away for the challenge and was further validated by Vevmo.
Few notes by me: It appears Mark Long has come back from "retirement." Mark's last challenge was The Gauntlet II where he made it to the final challenge but lost.
Landon and Ruthie were also last seen on The Gauntlet II, where Ruthie was eliminated by Beth and Landon apart of the winning Rookies team in the final challenge. Ruthie is a huge fan favorite so if this list is true, it will be great to see her again.
Jenn, Robin, Ryan, Dunbarr, and Paula were last scene on The Island. Jenn, Robin, and Paula were on the losing boat but appeared to work and bond well together. Possible alliance?
IF this list is 100 percent true, this could be the greatest challenge ever.

I can honestly say that's one of the worst shows ever.
The promos for the show are enough to make you wanna blow your brains out.

I guess people have different preferences.
I've been watching the challenge since I was around 12 (when Battle of the Sexes took place) and I've been hooked ever since.

without Miz, Derrick, Coral, Abe, Alton, and Rachel these challenges aren't very good..
The Island was horrible.

Well the Island did have Derrick, Rachel, and Abe. Coral was on the Gauntlet III and Alton on the Inferno III... it's not like they haven't been on the challenges for years.
The Miz ended his challenge career on a good note, winning the Inferno II.

That would be Battle of the Sexes, the very first challenge I watched. Puck was a great person on that challenge; he spat in David's face, got married on the show, had a feud with Ellen, trashed the male house, then left the show. Here's the video of the incident: That challenge in general was great because of all the feuds. Ellen vs. Punk Julie vs. Melissa (Short lived, yet very interesting to watch) Rachel vs. The Female Inner Circle Emily vs. Veronica Plus, the final mission proved how stupid the final three women were (besides Ruthie, because she's pure awesomeness). They had the challenge won but them not knocking over their puzzle pieces killed them as the guy's team just copied theirs and ultimately would lead to their victory.

Normally I love the show, but I only caught one episode of The Island and wasn't interested enough to watch any more.

it just seems like the old challenges were fun to watch because they would weed out the weak and only keep the strong...
but now you can be a weak person who gets kept around because you are either a controversial figure and maybe boost ratings so producers give you the pass as far as getting eliminated...or you are friends with other cast members, etc..
I think the competitions died when they had the challenge with the people who were never on road rules or real world (kenny, ev, evan, etc).

MTV should bring in The Miz & John Morrison, just to with the cast. It would be classic TV.

However, the "old" challenges were never really about keeping the strong players and weeed out the weak ones. Battle of the Sexes I was the fifth or so challenge. The girls team constantly voted off strong competitors (like Julie, Rachel Veronica) and caused drama in the process. The Guys teams were the smart ones in eliminating players with the lowest points on the board. It was a system that kept the strongest three guys on the last mission. These challenges have always been about drama and even the weaker players staying. The Island was a good challenge, one that I enjoyed quiet well. I do agree with you that these Freshmeat kids shouldn't be on the challenge... but Kenny and Ev actually are big time fan favorites.

Yeah, there are very few FM cast members that have made themselves worth their weight in anuyting. Eric really dissapointed me last challenge. Big E was my fav until then. The Island was one of the best challenges IMO. It def made Johnny and Kenny and Ev my favorites. I love the idea of Aliances in any challenge as it shows that the contenders are thinking and planning ahead. Derek is the only 'lone wolf' in recent memory of mine to win a challenge.

I've been reading that Big E lost some weight. His final performance on the Gauntlet III was terrible... he cost the Veteran team the win. Derek has always been the lone wolf since his first challenge, Battle of the Sexes II. He's a great guy and a great competitor. Derek went from winning zero challenges to winning two. And to Kliquid, there are tons of worst reality television shows worse than this (Rock of Love, I Love New York, Flavor of Love, Charm School, Scream Queen, Paris Hilton's BFF, I love Money, New York goes to Hollywood). The challenge at least has some cool missions with really cool prizes and big time cash. I will also say that Brittini will be the next Coral. Just watch...

Exactly. Real Chance at Love is a million times worse than the challenges are.
As a matter of fact, every VH1 reality television show is worse than the challenge. The challenge, for me at least, is fun to watch.
