Dec. 4th, 2006 House Show Rp #3
We are live at the NEN (Nightly Entertainment News) radio station where KD is live in the studio with award winning announcer Alan. Alan welcomes KD to the show as well as introduces him to all of the fans listening in. Unknowingly to KD, listening in was WFWF officials and in an unknown location Centanni, KD’s opponent on this upcoming house show.
Alan, with a smile on his face then says, “KD, again man, welcome to the show and even though this is your first time visiting us, let’s jump right into the questions that all my fans want to know.”
“Shoot,” says KD.
“Well KD, what drew you to the WFWF…I mean, you were here once before, but did not stay very long, but now, you appear to be more comfortable in your surroundings.”
KD asserts himself and positions himself in his seat before saying, “Look Alan, and to all the fans, let me set the record straight. I was in WFWF, but due to some things beyond my control at the time, I did not sign a contract. Instead, I simply worked on a day by day basis that unfortunately did not last but a few days.”
Alan clears his throat, then responds, “I see. So what made the difference this time around?”
“What made the difference?” KD then takes a sip from his up. “I can answer for you in two words; ‘Reverend Shadow.’”
“So you and RS, who I know very well get along I see.”
KD looks at Alan and then says followed by a brief stare, “Just because I came into this federation on a good note Alan does NOT mean that I am RS’s friend.”
Alan looks a bit confused and then says with a brief chuckle, “Okay KD, you are confusing me and the fans here?”
“I ain’t confused not one person on this show or listening to it.” KD then points in Alan’s face and says, “Maybe if you and these fans didn’t draw so many damn conclusions, maybe you would not assume and make a complete ass of yourself.”
Alan is taken back a bit by KD’s rather harsh remarks. At the time, Alan signals for his crew to go to a commercial as he then tries to get some point of neutrality with KD assuming that things would go a bit different prior to the show. He and KD go a bit back and forth, not being able to come to a firm agreement on anything by the time the show returned from a commercial break. KD, sitting there with a smirk of sarcasm on his face, grins as the show is now returned from the break.
As Alan begins to speak, he is cut off by KD who grabs the mic and places his pointing finger over Alan’s mouth, signaling him to be quite. “Now that we are back to the show, fans and I hope Centanni is out there listening as well, son, you just got your ass in something that the WFWF may have indeed started, but something that only I plan to finish. Centanni, I don’t know what kind of upbringing you have nor do I give a sh*t, but come Dec. 4th, you are going to not only wish you were dead, but you are going to wish that WFWF officials never made that match.”
Alan tries to get the mic back from KD, but KD quickly holds him down with his arm.
KD then looks at the crew standing by and gives them a grave look before saying, “Now that we have an understanding in this ungodly hell hole of a studio, Centanni, I’m calling you out you fu*king coward.”
Fans listening in to the show tune in a bit more as KD goes on with his open challenge to his opponent Centanni on the radio. More and more calls begin to flood the station as the station realizes that it now has surpassed its highest ratings ever just by having KD on the show.
KD then gets back on the mic after taking another sip from his cup of coffee and says, “As far as the WFWF officials are concerned, I am not your friend and as time goes on, I don’t expect anyone is this federation to like my style of how I go about business. Centanni, you will learn first hand just what I mean and to all the fans that don’t like me, bite the big one!”
Alan is in a rage despite the sudden spike in the ratings as he yells away from his mic, “YOU CAN’T SAY THAT!”
On the other end of all those listening in, unknown to the radio station, the fans were simply having a ball. Calls continued to flood the station about having KD come back and about having more raw interviews such as this one, but without the censorship. Many of the listeners were males and some females between the ages of 15 and 35. As far as the station producers, they were trying to figure out what to do with all of this sudden fame that the station had apparently never had at this level prior to KD’s arrival. Suddenly, a tussle was heard on radio by the listeners. Back at the station Alan was now laid out on the floor, unconscious and with blood covering his face which was running from his nose. Apparently, in the noise of the tussle, KD knocked him out with one solid blow to the face.
KD grabbed the mic back and then said, “Sorry about that little disturbance people, but sometimes, I think Alan allows himself to get a little beside himself if you know what I mean.”
Apparently, man fans did agree as they all laughed a hard laugh to KD’s jokes. KD himself even had a brief hard laugh about his assault of the radio host. The crew meanwhile did not dare approach KD as he sit in the booth with an unconscious Alan. Back at WFWF headquarters, thoughts begin to fly around about the acquisition of this new talent and his potential. At the same time, other thoughts also begin to circle about KD’s potential danger to this company’s long history of great fighters and if he would only further that list of legends of insult it with his sarcastic ego.
KD then got back on the mic after all the jokes were passed and said, “Centanni, Alan maybe able to get up from what I label as a simple bit*h slap, but son, what I plan on doing to you this weekend will be the one moment in glory that all men come to the ring seeking, but what many more men leave the ring fearing; and that will be your ominous demise along with a short lived career.”
Fans listening in quickly head to their nearest ticket sales reps to purchase tickets for both the house show and main event coming up this weekend.
KD then gets back on the mic one last time and says after a long sigh, “Well fans, with that, the beast from the southeast has spoken and stepping in for Alan, Alan…”
KD puts the mic up to Alan and Alan only gives off a low mumble.
KD then says, “Well Alan did not have much to say so for Alan and NEN, so long, God bless, and good night.”
The radio station tunes out as another song comes on. Back at Centanni’s location, he turns off his radio, thinking patiently about just what he has got himself into. His expression leaves one to wonder whether his thoughts were that of fear or that of encouragement. Back at WFWF headquarters, RS sits in his office chair with his hand covering his mouth thinking to himself along with other WFWF staff about KD’s interview and just what did his future in WFWF mean based on what he said. The scene fades to black with KD back in his limo as it takes off down a dark road into the night until nothing more than the limos tail lights were all that were visible.
OOC:
Hey nothing personal there, just felt like writing again and with the thought of being in a new fed, which I am liking more and more by the day, I just had to do another one. Hope you all enjoy and God bless. Also, though I am a tweener, I wanted to further establish my heel side for my character.
