The chorus of Christian Shields' theme song is heard but the screen is still pitch black. As the song goes into the next verse of the song, the black screen bursts and the music video for the song is shown with clips of Shields in action mixed in. Synched with the music, of course. The view then begins to back away and the screen was actually a computer monitor. As the view backs up more, Christian Shields is seen sitting in front of the computer with a smile on his face. He is wearing a black Rise Against band tee with dark blue, slightly faded jeans and his signature black Chuck Taylor shoes. The video on the monitor continues to play as Shields begins to speak.
You like it? I made it in about 20 minutes. Pretty good way to show off my excellent taste in music and my utterly amazing in-ring skills, isn't it? I would have made this beauty at home but my computer is down so I had to come to this pit.
Shields stands up slowly from his chair. The view moves to the side and the computer moves out of sight. Many people are walking back and forth in what appears to be a shopping mall. Some at a dizzying pace, others appear to be crawling to their destination. The slapping of shoes on the linoleum floors of the mall are wll overshadowed by the echoes of teen gossip, babies crying, and the mixture of music pouring from the stores. A few people turn their heads to look in the window and some even stop to take a closer look. Two teens become the center of the shot. They are wearing all black clothes and half of their multi-colored, mainly black and blonde, hair is covering their faces. They seem to be discussing something and are sending angry looks towards the more "preppy" looking kids. Shields comes back into view.
Hey, I'm not paying you to film a documentary about teen angst here, bud. The camera stays on me from now on, OK? Good.
Shields makes his way out into the crowded hallway of the mall. The people that pass him do a double take to really see that it's him. A couple of girls send smiles his way and he sends them one back, along with a sly wink. He points to himself and smiles as he says the next sentence.
The ladies love me. Now, before I get too far along, I want to say a few words to my opponent this week. Devin, you may talk a big game, but when it comes to overall in-ring ability, you can never outshine me. You should know all this by now. I already whipped you once and if I'm not mistaken, I saw a few tears rolling down your cheeks after the match. Was that because you were disappointed that I beat or was it because of the beating that you took? Oh wait, I know why! It was because you were so grateful that it was over and that the pain would stop. Well, I guess those tears will be flowing once more, because the Higher Authority here at WFWF has booked us together once again. This time in a 2-out-of-3 falls match. I just realized, this gives me a chance to beat your ass two times in one match!
Shields laughs hysterically, almost sounding like a Hyeena. This gets a few awkward stares from the people that walk by. He has a look of astonishment on his face now as he may be becoming a little over-excited.
Now I'm all excited! I can't wait to step into the ring with the tackling dummy again! This is going to be awesome!
As Shields begins walking down the hallway towards the exit, he is stopped by a little boy and his mother. The kid looks to be around 10 years old and is quite pudgy for his age. He is holding a Christian Shields 8x10 photograph. The kid holds it up to Shields.
Could you autograph this for me? I'm you biggest fan
I don't sign autographs for people like you, kid.
Shields strolls away while a stream of tears flows down the kid's face. The mother has a shocked and angry look on her face. The kid rips the picture in half and throws it into the trash can. As Shields walks by a pair of people wearing Devin Star shirts, he smacks the bottom of their cola cups and spills the liquid all over them. He laughs at this.
Oops. Haha!
The two people head towards the restrooms.
F***ing jerk. I hope Star kills him.
As Shields leaves the building, the people go about their business. The screen fades to black.
